Chapter 357: Fighting the Dragon

According to Okegiga, this fire dragon had been living in the depths of the Forbidden Forest.

Ivan couldn't help but secretly gulp. In the Middle Ages, 800 years ago, the forests of Hogwarts hid a monster of this rank.

He stared at the huge black dragon, wondering how the fallen Centaurs had tamed it. It was simply mind-blowing!

The shadow of the dragon's huge body flickered in the air, and Ivan had to admit that they were too small compared to this fierce-looking dragon.

This black dragon seemed to be a hybrid between a Hebrew black dragon and the Hungarian. It had characteristics of both.

Its body was about ten meters long. Its black scales were rough and hard, covered with bronze spikes, with a row of deep but sharp ridges on its back and an arrow-shaped spike at the tip of its tail.

It flapped its wings and quickly passed over the heads of Ivan and Okegiga.

The dragon roared and snorted at the centaurs behind it, then lunged forward as if no one had reacted, and a flame erupted from its gaping fanged mouth and shot a centaur.

It opened its huge, bloody mouth and bit into the centaur that was struggling to escape.

The centaur's mangled body was tossed aside after being chewed up. The black dragon fell to the ground. Its weight of several tons shook the entire ground. It was standing on its hind legs, with its neck raised, and its mouth twenty feet above the ground.

With a roar, the Dragon lowered its head and sprayed mushroom clouds of fire all around.

Centaurs fled in all directions, and their arrows could not pierce the dragon's tough scales. It twisted and kicked its feet wildly, and its pointed tail fluttered wildly to either side, leaving a dozen feet of pits and holes in the hard ground.

"We have to retreat to the forest, or we would have to suffer too many losses." Okegiga said angrily, holding the spear in his hand.

In front of them, a large number of fallen Centaurs huddled at the end of the only access to the Temple of the Moon. They seemed to make up their minds and depended on favorable terrain to cling to the Temple.

As for the outside, they left it for the mad dragon to handle.

Considering the horror he had just seen, Ivan wanted to rush into the Temple and stop the magic that was about to succeed before the evil god arrived.

But the current situation forced him to follow the centaur troops to retreat.

He was afraid that the dragon would tear them apart before they entered the temple.

Ivan and Okegiga had just moved, and the dragon seemed to have an eye on both of them. It stopped chasing the centaurs who had fled to the surrounding area and flapped its wings to fly back to them.

It spewed fire, turning everything around it into a sea of flames.

The heat wave came with fiery golden ripples, hot as torches.

Ivan and Okegiga were surrounded in the center of the fire and had nowhere to escape. In front of them, the ferocious dragon opened its huge mouth, and its menacing yellow eyes glared at them both. Its black, rough wings flapped at full power and it rushed forward like a fighter jet.

"Damn!" Okegiga gave a loud shout and launched a fierce attack, not evading. He rushed towards the rushing dragon, and raised his spear high in his hand.

The sharp, long spear flashed a throbbing cold light, sending pressure.

At Okegiga's back, Ivan tightened his grip on his wand and squeezed his body. He watched as the dragon's silhouette became clearer and clearer. Staring at its sharp fangs, his mind went blank.

He took a deep breath, dismissed distracting thoughts, focused his thoughts completely, pointed at the dragon's terrifying eyes and waved his wand.

The dragon's eyes were the weakest part of his body, and the two sides rushed in. In an instant, Ivan's Conjunctivitis Curse struck the dragon and it closed its eyes in pain.

The dragon stumbled forward and fell to the ground, rolling in agony, overwhelming a row of sturdy centaur hutches next to it like toys, shaking the entire area.

Ivan was stunned. The power of the Conjunctivitis Curse was not that great.

The next second, he saw a shocking wound on the black dragon.

Okegiga's attack pierced through its hard, rough black scales, extending from its torso to its left wing. The wound was deep, and in some places even bones could be seen.

Ivan took the opportunity to swing the wand at the fastest speed along the wound.

He cast five successive silver-white spells, like lightning flashing past at full speed, each one cutting the dragon's bones sharply.

With Ivan's attack, the dragon roared and a lot of dragon blood came out.

It painfully rolled on the ground, madly spurting hot flames, and the golden flames occupied the whole area, and even the hard rocks melted from the scorching heat.

Under the joint attack of Okegiga and Ivan, its left wing was completely boned, and even after the treatment, it would be very difficult for this dragon to fly again.

"Well done, human!" Okegiga said weakly. "This stupid guy learned a lesson this time. We must leave now."

In the confrontation, Okegiga's right arm was severed by the dragon's fangs, and now he was weakly fallen to the ground.

His body was trembling because he exerted too much force.

Okegiga's power was truly awesome, completely beyond the innate limitations of the centaur race. No wonder that, even after 800 years, his heroic deeds have been passed down for generations to come.

In fact, only the most powerful humans can defeat a dragon. Before this, Ivan had never heard of a centaur slaying a dragon.

Dragon scales have strong magical and defensive power. Even with the most powerful magical attacks, not to mention physical attacks, it was difficult to pass through them.

Moreover, the long spear in Okegiga's hand was not a magical weapon, but the most common weapon.

He depended entirely on his own strength to achieve this effect.

Okegiga led Ivan and other centaurs to retreat into the forest outside the colony. Behind them, the mad dragon was still rolling there.

It destroyed everything it touched. With such a creature trapped there, it was going to be difficult to get into the Temple of the Moon.

Ivan had some concerns and didn't know what to do. Maybe he could fly in on a Hippogriff. He told Okegiga about this idea.

"Fly to the Temple of the Moon?! Unless you want to be a target in the air." Okegiga frowned and said, "This idea is not feasible. Besides being an easy target, all flights are forbidden over the temple, where the founder of the castle left a powerful defensive magic."
