Chapter 398: Nicolas Flamel

"So you're here!" said Gabrielle with delight, leaning over and holding Ivan.

Ivan was stiff and had a bitter smile on his mouth, letting Gabrielle hug him.

Maybe he was too nervous. He didn't dare to move.

"This is the black cat you told me about?!" Fleur came closer and looked at him suspiciously for a long time, saying slowly, "I've never seen this guy on campus before. This cat..."

Under the gaze of Fleur's blue eyes, Ivan was afraid of being caught.

As a Beauxbatons warrior, Fleur had strong magical power.

Although an Animagus seemed no different from real animals, Ivan was still nervous.

He pulled back as far as he could until he stopped abruptly.

There was something soft behind him, and he realized that he was in Gabrielle's arms, and that he was getting closer to her....

Ivan was trapped there, and he had no idea what to do.

"This cat..." Fleur moved a little closer and leaned down in front of Ivan.

Sensing Fleur's scent, Ivan held his breath and stared at her.

"I'm a cat now, I have to act like a cat!" He repeatedly told himself that he was now a cat, and tried to imitate the animal's behavior.

He remembered how Crookshanks looked in Hermione's arms. It should be...

"Meow!" Ivan gave a soft cry and blinked.

"This cat is really pure black, which is very rare," Fleur said, suddenly reaching out and gently patting Ivan on the head. "Black cats have strong magic, and this little guy is very cute, the cutest cat I've ever seen."

"His eyes are very fascinating!" Gabrielle nodded and petted Ivan.

Under the caress of the two beautiful women, Ivan's breathing increased slightly.

He remained motionless, letting Fleur and Gabrielle pet him again and again.

He no longer looked like a cat, but like an inanimate doll. He was too stiff, but fortunately he did not arouse their suspicions.

Ivan had never dreamed that he would be in contact with girls as he was now.

His body was squeezed unintentionally, and his little face and ears were rubbed in various ways by Fleur.

"Meow!" Ivan raised his hand and tried to stop it. Instead, Gabrielle grabbed him directly, trapping him and his whole body lay on top of the girl.

Feeling something strange beneath him, Ivan could state with certainty that he had blushed.

Now, just by looking up a little, he could see Gabrielle's angelic face.

It seemed even worse to tilt his head and face the softness of her breast.

He wasn't sure if he should run away. Just as he was about to take action, Fleur looked at Gabrielle. "Well, you should take this little one to bed and leave the rest to your sister."

"But Ivan...," Gabrielle said anxiously.

"Don't worry, that guy isn't in the school hospital. After the chaos in the Great Hall, no one has seen him." Fleur tapped her wand. "Even if they find him, they're not his opponents."

"But..." Gabrielle hesitated, holding the black cat tightly in her arms.

"You can be sure this matter will be handled by your sister." Fleur smiled and said, "With me, Ivan Mason will be fine. Now go back to sleep and I promise I'll bring him to you before I leave school tomorrow morning."

Gabrielle still wanted to say something, but in the end she did not.

She nodded slightly and walked down the hall with Fleur to the girls' dormitory.

Because the conversation between the two people was in French, Ivan couldn't understand what they were talking about.

What he hoped most now was that Gabrielle would be able to separate from Fleur quickly.

By then, she might find an opportunity to escape, as she did before.

Walking down the hallway for about five minutes, they led Ivan to a huge, glowing white unicorn statue.

Fleur gently touched the statue with her wand. With a click, a spinning staircase slowly descended overhead. This was the Beauxbatons girls' dormitory.

"Good night, Gabrielle!" Fleur came up and kissed Gabrielle.

"Good night, sister!" Gabrielle replied.

"And you!" Fleur looked at Ivan, "Good night, little one!"

She stretched her face and seemed to kiss Ivan as Gabrielle had done before.

"Meow!" Ivan unconsciously reached out his hand to stop her.

At the girl's laughter, Ivan felt embarrassed to the extreme.

He didn't know how Pettigrew had lived in the Weasley family for 13 years as Animagus. This was hard to imagine.

From this point of view, he had to admire the guy.

But it was different from what he was facing. There shouldn't be a girl holding a rat in her arms or wanting to kiss him...

Gabrielle waved as Fleur, and walked to the bedroom with Ivan in her arms.

She had just climbed the stairs and the steps suddenly changed, and the stairs quickly became flat.

Under these circumstances, Gabrielle fell off the top.

"Meow!" Ivan shouted and broke away from Gabrielle.

Her body spun magnificently in mid-air, and fell firmly to the side.

It was then that he realized that, like Hogwarts, the stairs in front of him were enchanted with defensive magic to prevent boys from entering the girls' dormitories.

He looked at Gabrielle, who had fallen to the floor, but it was a chance for Ivan to run across the hall while Fleur helped her.

She ran as fast as she could, trying to find an empty spot.

About ten minutes later, Ivan stopped. He was now in an empty hallway, and the silver moonlight was shining through the window on the left.

In front of him, it looked like a cluttered storage room.

Many strange-looking objects were casually tossed on both sides of the hallway. Some of them spun fast, others glowed faintly, others....

Needless to say, these things that looked so wonderful and of which he didn't know the specific uses were all products of alchemy, and Ivan could feel the subtle magic emanating from them.

He walked down the hallway and looked carefully at these things.

Among them, he saw the exquisite silverware that had been placed on Dumbledore's desk earlier, more in quantity, silently spraying smoke.

"Good evening, Ivan! I was wondering when you were coming here."

Just as Ivan was looking at the silverware, he suddenly heard a voice behind him.

He looked back quickly and saw Dumbledore standing nearby with a smile.

Next to him was Nicolas Flamel in a golden robe.
