Chapter 420: The Death of Sirius

Hundreds of wizards fought in the narrow tunnel of the centaur ruins.

The curses and shouts were endless, and the space was filled with red, blue and green curses.

Unlike the playful duels between the young wizards, these were true battles to the death.

A few people used the common dueling spells. Ivan saw more and more people using Avada Kedavra or other forbidden curses, striving to kill their enemies.

No one had any restrictions. Even without complaints or hatred, everyone was dying to kill each other. Many fell dead, and blood spurted everywhere.

Soon, the Obsidian walls, ceilings and floors of the Temple turned red.

Ivan and Sirius kept retreating, and the situation in front of them was too chaotic.

Curses were flying through the air, wreaking havoc, with a piercing light, like countless sharp arrows coming from all sides.

The sudden battle scene had become more and more fierce, finally turning into the most chaotic and bewildering battle Ivan had ever seen.

Hundreds of mages gathered here, red-eyed and teeth gnashing, as if they had seen their sworn enemies of a lifetime. They attacked others without purpose or reason. Most of them had not even seen the so-called Treasury of the Centaurs.

Under the influence of the curse of the vampires hiding in the darkness, they all went mad. Now they thought only of killing for gold, without distinguishing between friend and foe.

A frightening and terrifying massacre was taking place here, and if this incident was reported, it would definitely shake the entire wizarding world.

It was inconceivable that such a thing would happen in this peaceful era.

Vampires were truly terrible. No wonder they were long considered the most dangerous dark creatures, and their existence was a taboo in itself.

Ivan and Sirius were dodging flying spells. They tried to find vampires in the crowd, but the situation was too chaotic for them to find anything.

"Damn, these people are crazy!" Sirius roared, waving his wand and using a full body curse against a wizard who was screaming and rushing at him.

His spell hit the man, but several others were drawn in.

Sirius' wand cast several spells in succession, escorting Ivan back.

In fact, Ivan became irritable as well.

What suddenly happened in front of him was beyond his initial expectations. Since the vampires dared to make this move, it meant that the magic of summoning the evil spirit was almost finished.

All the mages who were fighting were going to die, becoming flesh and blood sacrifices to the evil god.

Things were moving too fast, and Ivan didn't understand how the vampires were going to summon the evil god without getting their own Philosopher's Stone.

Boom, boom!!!

Just as he was thinking about these things, the floor of the Temple suddenly began to collapse.

The whole area shook violently and huge cracks began to appear in the ground.

The floor cracked, like a black giant mercilessly opening a huge mouth, swallowing the fighting mages and fallen bodies.

Ivan and Sirius wanted to escape, but everything happened too fast, and they both fell.

Next to them, there were countless equally terrified wizards and huge falling stones.

A falling stone came close to them and Ivan waved his wand and broke it.

Parts of the stone fragments hit him, and he felt a deep pain. However, he didn't have time to worry about it. Below them, a dark pit suddenly appeared, deep and bottomless.

If he fell like this, he should have no chance of survival....

What was even more terrifying was that some of the falling wizards were still willingly casting curses. These lunatics didn't want to live at all, and were dragging others to die along with them!

Not far away, Sirius was shouting something to Ivan.

There was so much noise around that Ivan couldn't hear a word.

He tried to calm down and consider what magic to use.

In such a chaotic situation, it seemed that all spells didn't work.

He tried to cast a levitation spell on himself, hoping to ease the falling speed, but this only made him the target of falling men and stones.

The next second, a silvery white light flew up and down.

Ivan saw Sirius pointing his wand at him. This was a spell similar to the protego enchantment. From the impact of the spell, it began to fly upwards.

It was exerting a force, pulling him away from Sirius' wand, and out of harm's way. However, it also hastened Sirius' fall.

"No!" Ivan shouted, trying to stop Sirius.

He saw Sirius' decadent smile solidified on his once handsome face and Sirius greeted him, in the same manner as before; recalcitrant, with innate pride.

Under Ivan's gaze, his body fell at an extremely rapid speed and gradually disappeared into the endless darkness.

"SIRIUS!" Ivan shouted, "SIRIUS!" (Not again T_T).

Before he could use magic, Sirius had disappeared.

Just like that...

Ivan fell to the floor of the Temple, his mind a blank....

A few seconds ago, there was an extraordinarily crowded tunnel. Now there was no one but him.

All that remained was dead silence, and a great, deep, bottomless pit.

Down below, the rumbling sound didn't stop.

It was as if this hole that had come out of nowhere, stretched all the way to the center of the earth.

Despite the pain, Ivan got to his feet as quickly as he could.

He went to the crater, expecting Sirius to come up from below, but all he saw was darkness.

His vision gradually became blurry. Ivan had only one thought in his mind: he had to save Sirius!

But it was obviously unwise to climb down from this deep pit.

Ivan didn't have much time to think. Shortly after the fall of the wizards, the magic of the Temple space suddenly became chaotic and irritable.

"I'm waiting, the great existence is coming!"

A strange voice echoed in the temple, and it seemed to sound in the depths of Ivan's mind.

This was the voice of the evil god. Ivan would never forget it even if he died. This voice could awaken the deepest darkness and fear hidden in the heart.

Damn it, those vampires were really summoning this horrible evil spirit!

Ivan was no longer thinking about where they were getting their strength from, he stood up panting.

All he had on his mind was how to save Sirius, if he somehow survived....

At this point, Ivan's body was shaking uncontrollably, and he was undeniably terrified!

He wasn't afraid of those vampires hiding in the dark, or of the evil god who might come at any moment.... He feared the death of Sirius....
