"I will return soon, and then, the endless nightmare will begin!"
The chilling voice of the evil spirit echoed in the Temple. "Tremble, young human wizard, prepare to surrender to death!"
"SHUT UP!" Ivan shouted. His voice echoed back and forth in the silent tunnel.
The whisper of the evil spirit bored him. For a moment, he stared into the dark cave beneath his feet, Sirius on his mind.
He couldn't believe Sirius had fallen like this, perhaps to his death.
Then, Ivan ran up, as fast as he could. There was no point in staying here. The cave was too deep. Sirius couldn't climb up from below, and he couldn't jump from above.
Due to the appearance of the evil god, the magic in space became fluctuating.
But it was clearer than before. Ivan could now clearly sense the location of the evil god, just below in the subway pit, in the deepest area underground.
Besides jumping directly, there was definitely another way to go there: It was the secret passage he had taken earlier with Okegiga, the Centaur to sneak into the Moon Temple from the lake in the illusion. That was the right way.
Ivan knew he had to hurry. Sirius might not be dead yet.
He ran to the corridor as fast as he could, and saw many frightened wizards on the way.
They also heard the whispers of the evil spirit, and stood there not knowing what to do.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!"
Just as Ivan rounded the corner, a high-pitched voice suddenly rang out.
The training with Sirius came in handy, and subconsciously he dropped to the ground, the green light brushing against his body.
He saw a wizard in a black robe holding a wand standing not far from him.
His skin was pale and he was dressed like the three wizards he saw in the pub last night. He was wearing a thick black robe that covered his entire body. This was a vampire!!!!!
After the pit appeared under the mages inside, the vampires that had been lurking in the dark finally came out. They gathered to kill the survivors to make sure that what happened in the temple today would never be known.
Neither the evil god nor his plots could be known to the outside world, and with what happened today, only the dead could keep it a secret.
Ivan had no time to waste here. As he ducked to avoid the vampire's killing curse, three red lights quickly shot from the tip of his wand.
Faced with Ivan's counterattack, the vampire was quick to dodge.
He seemed somewhat surprised, not expecting Ivan to escape his sneak attack and react so quickly, and still manage to cast three magic spells in such a short time.
After his spells, Ivan shouted at him and rushed at him.
His wand glowed like a sword and sparks flew everywhere.
While the opponent managed to avoid the first round of attacks, Ivan's Petrificus Totalus Curse followed and hit the vampire!
His arms and legs came together and he fell heavily on his back.
If this were under any other circumstances, Ivan would sit down and interrogate the vampire and ask him about his plots, but now he was in a hurry to save Sirius.
He didn't even see the vampire hit the ground and kept running forward.
In a remote hallway away from the previous chamber, Ivan looked at the phases of the moon carved on the wall, and touched the sign of the full moon on the wall as fast as he could.
Crack, crack, crack...
With the dry, astringent sound of the dry pulley, the thick stone door slowly rose.
The muddy, damp smell spread from the secret passageway to the depths of the floor, as expected.
As the stone door rose, magic fluctuated in the area more crazily than before. Judging from the current situation, this secret passageway must lead to the location of the evil god.
In the thick dust on the ground, Ivan also saw many footprints, traces of vampires hiding in the darkness entering and leaving the area.
At the end of the narrow passage, there was a large and terrifying Lovage.
From its height and thickness, it was at least several hundred years old.
Lovage is a type of plant with strong characteristics, which could spread its roots to the surrounding plants and make them slowly wither. Even other Lovages are no exception.
In the end, only one Lovage can survive and enjoy all the nutrients in a certain area.
Seeing this large and terrifying Lovage, Ivan finally learned where the vampires got the material for the curse that had been cast on the gold.
It is important to know that Lovage is mainly used to make Confusion and Bewildering potions, which could cause people to be overtaken by impetuosity and recklessness, or gradually lost in the illusion built in their minds.
The juice made from the leaves of Lovage is an essential material in the preparation of some dark magics that confuse the mind.
Lovage grows in length very slowly. Ivan had seen a Lovage in Professor Sprout's greenhouse.
That plant had been preserved for over 40 years, but it was still much smaller than this one, and the confusion it could cause was also poor.
Also, Lovage generally lives in dark, damp places.
Next to it, Ivan saw a downward sloping passage filled with red water.
The smell in the air was unpleasant and strange, and Ivan remembered Professor Sprout's comment that the smell of Lovage created confusion.
He held his breath and rushed into the pool, casting the Bubble Head Charm on himself.
The pool was deep and extended through the ancient passage to the depths of the floor.
In the muddy, murky water, Ivan could not determine where exactly he should go.
He could only dive by instinct. The red water felt sticky, and Ivan quickly knew what was happening. The vampires had poured a lot of blood into it.
This was really very bad, and he felt nauseous when he realized he was in blood.
She resisted the nausea and sped up the dive. But immediately, she felt something tangled around her ankle. He tightened his hand on his wand and looked back.
Besides the murky red objects, nothing was visible in the muddy blood.
Ivan shook himself repeatedly, bent down bringing his hands to his ankles....
His heart was pounding, sensing danger approaching him. There seemed to be something in the blood.
He raised his vigilance and slowly scanned forward....
The next second, a hideous and very rotten face suddenly appeared in front of him.
