Chapter 450: The Exit, and the Portkey

If he had thought about it, Ivan could have helped them get these things out without being discovered by Mrs. Weasley.

He had Nicolas Flamel's cloth sack, and under the influence of alchemy and the Charm of Undetectable Extension, the unsuspected cloth sack could contain many things.

The Undetectable Extension Charm could ensure that the contents would not be found.

But apparently, Ivan spent too much time in Ginny's room last night.

By the time he returned, Harry, Ron, Fred and George had fallen asleep and said nothing to him.

Now that Mrs. Weasley had found out, it was too late to say anything!

The comments Ivan had made to Hermione last night he couldn't say to Mrs. Weasley.

Whether she believed it or not, alchemy, the Book of Abraham, and evil gods were to be kept secret.

"Accio! Accio! Accio! Accio! Accio!" Mrs. Weasley shouted.

Lots of misshapen candy, tongued tongue candy, and other contraptions, flew away from them, including the lining of George's jacket and the ruffles of Fred's jeans.

"Mom, we spent half a year developing them!" Fred yelled at the aggravation.

"You can't do this!" George looked anxiously at Mrs. Weasley as she threw these things into the fire.

"Oh, a good way to spend half a year!" Mrs. Weasley shouted. "No wonder you didn't get more in the T.I.M.O.S! You've been studying this stuff all day!"

Under her angry glare, Fred and George lowered their heads, and no one in the kitchen dared to speak.

Overall, the atmosphere was not very friendly when they left.

Mrs. Weasley was still sulking as she kissed Mr. Weasley on the cheek.

Fred and George, who had a worse attitude, put their backpacks on their backs and walked into the fireplace without saying a word.

They were going through the Floo Network to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Illness and Injury.

After another whirlwind round, Ivan emerged from the spacious waiting room fireplace at St. Mungo's.

It was his second time here. The last time he had followed Sirius to visit Ron.

Compared to before, it might be due to the fact that it was too early, the waiting room was quiet, and in the dim light, they couldn't see any wizards waiting for the healers.

The very spacious room was remarkably empty.

The air was filled with the cold smell of disinfectant mixed in, feeling a bit festering.

It was as if there was something horrible that could jump out of the corner at any moment.

"Come on, I know where it is!" Mr. Weasley whispered.

They crossed the double doors between the waiting room and the hall and walked down a narrow corridor.

On either side were portraits of famous healers. Glass bubbles filled with candles floated to the ceiling, looking like huge soap bubbles.

They reached the hall and before they entered, they saw Sirius come out with a smile on his face.

He looked very happy and, like everyone else, was dressed like a Muggle.

"They're finally here, I couldn't wait any longer!" Sirius said, hugging everyone in turn.

"Sirius, your injury?" Harry looked at him in surprise.

"Don't worry, just a small skin wound, it's already healed!" Sirius patted Harry's shoulder with a smile on his face. "Harry, are you okay? did those Muggles bully you?"

"Me, I'm fine!" Harry hesitated, not sure if it was necessary to talk about his complaints.

But he couldn't stop himself, and he had already started talking.

From his worry about Sirius and Ivan, to this summer vacation ordeal, to the complaint about being left alone with the Dursleys, to the strange dream and the pain of the scar, it was all said at once.

Harry had never felt like this before. He confided all this to an old man he fully believed in.

Sirius was like a father to him.

The others did not disturb the dialogue between Harry and Sirius, and left room for them.

They knew that Harry, who had never experienced fatherly love, needed this feeling.

As for Sirius, this was what he had been waiting for for a long time.

Sirius listened carefully to Harry's confession and whispered his opinion to him.

After a few minutes, he finished talking to Harry and turned to Ivan's side.

"Thank you, Ivan!" said Sirius, "Dumbledore told me that you saved my life after I fainted."

Ivan was a little embarrassed. In fact, he had Sirius to thank as well. If Sirius hadn't magically pushed him out of that huge pit, he might have dropped dead!

They talked for a while, and then Sirius pulled out something that looked like a Quaffle.

"Come on, kids, we can't miss the World Cup!" Sirius said, "It's time to get there. If there's anything to say, let's say it later, let's go now!"

"How do we get there? with the apparition?" Harry asked curiously.

"No!" Mr. Weasley took the Quaffle from Sirius. "We'll go there with the Portkey. Fortunately, the Department set up a Portkey at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Illness and Injury. We don't have to go out looking for it."

"The Portkey?!" Harry stared at the Quaffle in his hand.

"Remember, I said before, about 100,000 wizards are coming to watch the World Cup!" Mr. Weasley explained, "With so many people wanting to gather in one place, you need very strict organization. The first thing is to stagger the arrivals."

Among the 100,000 wizards, there were a few who can use Apparition.

In a practical forest around the final location, the Ministry of Magic set up safe points for Apparition.

However, for those unwilling or unable to Apparate, other methods could be used.

"People with cheaper tickets have to arrive two weeks early. Some people use Muggle transportation, but the number is limited. We can't have too many clogging up their buses and trains," Mr. Weasley said. "So we use Portkeys. They are objects used to transport wizards from one place to another at a prearranged time. Large groups can be made at a time if necessary. There have been two hundred Portkeys placed at strategic points around Britain."

"So this Quaffle is a Portkey?!" Harry continued.

"Yes!" said Sirius. "I've asked, and there are no more of us near St. Mungo's. Hurry up, there's less than a minute left, and time's almost up!"

Ivan had used Portkeys many times before, and only Harry, Ron and Hermione still didn't know it.

He whispered to Hermione the principle of Portkeys and how to use them.
