Chapter 449: Early Morning in the Burrow

Tonight she was doomed to not be able to sleep, Ivan didn't know if Hermione had insomnia too, but she sure kept rolling around in bed for a long time and couldn't sleep.

All he had on his mind was Hermione and the feeling that he had just been lying with her and being held by her.

Along with that, her image in those lovely pink pajamas along with the cute crimson touch on her pretty face did not leave his mind.

Ivan had only one thought, that is, Hermione at that moment seemed to be particularly attractive.

He had all sorts of urges; if only time had stopped at that second, as he hoped....

All in all, Ivan felt he had barely fallen asleep when Mrs. Weasley woke him up.

"It's time to go, Ivan, dear." She whispered, pulling away to wake Harry and Ron.

Ivan sat up and rubbed his eyes.

It was still dark outside, and Ron mumbled indistinctly as his mother woke him.

At his feet, Harry was also confused, looking for his glasses.

Near the door, two large, disheveled forms emerged from tangles of blankets.

"What, is it time already?" Fred asked in a daze.

"Get up!" replied George.

They dressed in silence, too sleepy to speak. Then, yawning and stretching, the five of them went down to the kitchen.

Mrs. Weasley was preparing breakfast and steadily stirring the contents of a large pot on the stove. Mr. Weasley sat at the table and went through a stack of parchment bills.

When the boys entered the kitchen, he looked up and held his arms out so they could see his clothes more clearly.

He was wearing what appeared to be a golf sweater and a pair of very old jeans, a little too big for him and held up with a thick leather belt.

"What do you think?" he asked eagerly. "We're supposed to go incognito to the Quidditch World Cup - do I look enough like a Muggle?"

"Not bad!" Ivan said in a whisper.

"Very!" Harry said with a grin. "Your Muggle clothes are very good."

Mr. Weasley looked very pleased when he heard them both.

"Where's Bill and Charlie and Per-Per-Percy?" said George, unable to suppress a big yawn.

"Well, they'll be making an appearance, won't they?" said Mrs. Weasley, putting the big pot on the table and starting to ladle the porridge into bowls. "So they can lie down for a bit. Besides, the three of you don't have to go see Sirius."

That's right, they all remembered.

Besides going to watch the Quidditch World Cup today, they had to visit Sirius at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Illness and Injury.

"He sent a letter this morning and he's already waiting for us!" Mr. Weasley said with a smile. "He's recovering well."

"Professor Black wrote a letter so soon?!" Fred looked up into the darkness of the sky, and gave a muffled sound with his tongue.

Since he was a teacher of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, he used to call Sirius "Professor Black." Just then, Fred remembered that Sirius was no longer a professor.

"Well, for being so energetic, he seems to have really recovered. So Percy and the others are still in bed?!" Fred continued. "Why can't we go on apparition too?"

"Because you're not of age and you haven't passed your exam." Mrs. Weasley replied.

"And where did those girls go?" she came out of the kitchen and they heard her come up the stairs and call Hermione and Ginny.

Ivan ate his breakfast in silence and listened to Harry and Mr. Weasley talk about the apparition.

Mr. Weasley gave them an example of a physical apparition caused by the failure of the Apparition process.

The unfortunate one left half of his body in place and the other half went to its destination.

Fortunately, the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad arrived in time to save his life.

They fined him heavily, but at least he didn't lose his life.

Then they laughed as they talked about Percy's first Apparition failure, straying from the destination and landing on a Muggle's head.

Mrs. Weasley came down the stairs, and behind her, there were footsteps down the hall.

Hermione and Ginny entered the kitchen, both pale and sleepy.

At the sight of Ivan, who was drinking porridge, Hermione's face turned pink.

She was like Ginny when she saw Harry, very shy. But for Hermione, it was the first time she was so nervous.

Obviously, she remembered what happened with Ivan last night.

Hermione tried to remain calm. Sitting next to Ivan and seeing the smile on his face, she couldn't help but kick him hard.

Ivan coughed and buried his face in the bowl.

"Why do we have to get up so early?" Ginny said, rubbing her eyes and sitting down at the table.

"Because you have to go see Black, and then go to the World Cup." Mr. Weasley said, "There's still a lot to do, it's not early."

"Where are we going to watch the World Cup?" Harry asked.

"On the edge of a forest. It is very difficult for a large number of wizards to congregate without attracting Muggle attention. We have to be very careful how we travel at big times on an occasion like the Quidditch World Cup."

"George!" said Mrs. Weasley sharply, and everyone jumped.

"What?" said George, in an innocent tone that fooled no one.

"What's that in your pocket?" asked Mrs. Weasley.

"Nothing!"

"Don't lie to me!" Mrs. Weasley pointed her wand at George's pocket and said, "Accio!"

Several small, brightly colored objects came out of George's pocket. They were all the "Wizard Wheezes" of Weasleys gag products that he and Fred had shown Ivan, Harry and Ron last night.

Fred and George grabbed for them, but missed. They spun in midair and went straight for Mrs. Weasley's outstretched hand.

"God, I told you yesterday to destroy them!" said Mrs. Weasley angrily, holding up the things in her hand, "I want you to burn these things. Empty your pockets; now, both of you!"

Fred and George had apparently tried to smuggle these things out of the house, but were discovered.

On the table, several Weasleys' "Wizard Wheezes" were piled higher and higher.

Everyone looked at these things dumbfounded and couldn't believe it.

Ivan sighed. He knew Fred and George were going to have a bad day.
