Chapter 473: Quidditch World Cup

"Oh my god, with the Omnioculars we can clearly see the situation inside the stadium. I wish I hadn't bought these now," Ron said, gesturing with his dancing clover hat and looking longingly at the Omnioculars.

"Give me four pairs," Harry said firmly to the wizard.

"No, Harry! Don't bother," Ron said, turning red.

He had always been sensitive to this sort of thing and didn't want to spend Harry's money.

Even though he knew Harry had inherited a small fortune from his parents and was much richer than he was, it really hurt his self-esteem.

Every time Ivan or Harry did this, it made him feel bad, very embarrassed.

Especially when he heard the price the salesman said, the pair of Omnioculars would cost ten gold galleons!

"Take it! You won't get anything for Christmas!" Harry told him with a grin, putting the Omnioculars in Ron's hand, "For about ten years, take care of them!"

"Good!" Ron smiled and secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Since it was a Christmas present, he could take the Omnioculars in stride.

When Harry walked to the back of the team with the Omnioculars ready to give to Ivan and Hermione, the two were studying a note of competition.

Hermione thought it was necessary to buy it to help them quickly understand what was going to happen.

"Thank you, Harry!" Hermione took the omnioculars. "I see it says here that there is a mascot performance before the competition starts."

"That's right, we can see better with the Omnioculars."

"No need to use Omnioculars, I know a magic that can make everyone see very clearly!" Ivan said, "It's very convenient, it's more convenient than using them, and the horizon is more open."

"That sounds interesting. Please teach me, Ivan!" Harry said quickly.

"Wait, you can't do this. Underage wizards are not allowed to use magic outside of school. It's forbidden. " Hermione raised her head and looked at Ivan warily. "You certainly won't use it, will you?"

"Yes!" Ivan quickly replied.

He turned his head and saw that Harry was secretly making a face at him: don't mess with Hermione when it comes to obeying the rules.

After years of contact, everyone had gotten completely used to her.

More than half an hour later, after they each bought a bunch of souvenirs, they set off again for the Quidditch pitch.

Mr. Weasley was in the lead carrying the Irish flag.

Sirius gave them all a green rosette, as they were all supporting the Irish team.

He, in fact, seemed to be the most enthusiastic member of the team.

Sirius, Fred and George enthusiastically discussed a few topics and laughed from time to time.

The effects of the last 13 years of imprisonment in Azkaban were slowly shaking off of him.

In the last few days, it had been increasingly difficult to see the old dull, melancholy look on his face.

Time seemed to have reversed itself in him, and affection and happiness were magically creeping into his heart.

With the recovery of physical condition, Sirius gradually returned to the handsome and popular appearance of his youth.

Ivan, who knew the past, knew that Sirius was very popular when he was young.

At school, many girls secretly liked him, as Ivan did now.

Although the future was full of ups and downs, at that moment he saw the cheerful figure of Harry and Sirius and everyone, as well as the beautiful smile on Hermione's face, Ivan felt unprecedented peace of mind.

No matter what difficulties he had, he was confident that he could overcome them.

He had changed the future, and would continue to change and make up for all the regrets.

In the distance, a deep, thunderous gong sounded somewhere beyond the forest.

Thousands of green and red lanterns glowed in the trees, illuminating a path into the field.

Running into the forest, following the lantern-lit path, they could hear the sounds of thousands of people moving around them.

Ivan heard shouts, laughter and fragments of singing.

The atmosphere of feverish excitement was highly contagious, and soon, each of them could not help but smile.

They walked through the forest for twenty minutes, talking and joking loudly, until at last they came out on the other side.

Then, they found themselves in the shadow of a gigantic stadium.

Even looking at it from a distance, only a fraction of the immense golden walls surrounding the field could be seen.

Judging by the size of the area, it was no problem to install ten large stands inside.

This was too spectacular. The Ministry of Magic, which had always paid attention to secrecy, had made an unexpectedly big scene.

"One hundred thousand seats," Mr. Weasley proudly explained to everyone, "The Ministry of Magic hired 500 employees to work on it for a whole year, day and night, before the final construction was completed."

This was an almost miraculous feat.

Although there was no machinery, wizards could do many things that Muggles were doomed not to do if they wished.

His only regret was that such scenes were few and far between in the wizarding world.

"Look, there are Muggle Repelling enchantments on every inch of it. During this year, every time Muggles have come anywhere near here, they've suddenly remembered urgent appointments, and had to run away again. God bless them." said Mr. Weasley.

He and Sirius headed for the nearest entrance, which was already surrounded by a swarm of screaming witches and wizards.

"Top sites!" said the Ministry witch at the entrance as she checked her tickets. "Top Box. Straight up, Arthur, and as high as you can get. It's the best place."

The stairs to the stadium were carpeted in purple.

They climbed up with the rest of the crowd, which slowly filtered through the doors into the stands on either side.

Ivan looked down and felt that his eyes were falling short.

There were so many wizards here, too many people screaming, laughing and squirming wildly.

He didn't see Elaine and Gabrielle, and he didn't know where the two girls were.

Ivan followed Harry up the stairs and climbed to the top of the magnificent building.

Ten minutes later, he found himself in a small grandstand.

This was the highest stand in the stadium, opposite the golden goalposts.

Inside the box, there were about twenty purple and gold chairs divided into two rows.

They sat in the first row and watched a scene they could never have imagined.

A hundred thousand witches and wizards took their places in the seats, which rose in tiers around the long oval field.

Everything was suffused with a mysterious golden light, which seemed to come from the stadium itself.

The field looked smooth as velvet from its elevated position.

At each end of the field were three goal hoops, 15 meters high.

Ivan had never seen a goal like that before. It was particularly impressive.
