Chapter 4:

Chapter 4:

Bingling felt the of jolt of reality sweep over him as the ship came into a rapid stop. The unnerving sensation of entering a Realm Gate, even now despite having undergo through many jumps, the eerie feeling of being pulled into and then through a star-road pathway. Feeling your very being, getting suck into a tunnel, feeling the rapid psychic pull of the star path. Then to be cast back out, and into the reality of the physical world of matter and atoms. He never truly got use to the sensation, only learning to tolerate it more with each jump.

Looking back through the pic screens of his transport craft, he could see from the sensorium instruments at least, a truly gargantuan mega structure that eclipsed everything else within the pic feed of the screen projection. It was glorious sight to behold, a testament of mankind progress into the stars. No matter how many times Bingling have come to sight his sights upon one. He never tired of it, that piece of marvelous technology that enabled mankind to rapid progress through the stars.

Back in the days starships had to travel for days, months, even up to years to travel throughout the system. However, that all changed with the creation of the Realm Gate, majestic pieces of technology, created through the blood and sweat of the most brilliant minds of humanity put together. Resulting in the array of highly advanced mega structure technological teleportation device structures, spread out through the system at key points, these were designed to facilitate instantaneous travel over interplanetary and interstellar distances.

How is this possible one might wonder?

The short explanation of it all, it is said that this is achieved via creating a spatial Portal or a keyhole a point in realspace in the form of a tiny wormhole in space, generating what is known as a Space Bridge a tunnel-like pathway which is linked to another point in realspace. What connects these two points, is the key design marvel that made it all possible, the Star Road.

Made through means that even Bingling's family influence cannot grant them privilege to learn about. Focusing his eyes on the Pic-feed, Bingling saw the Realm Gate in its full glory now being further away from it now. Ignoring the massive exterior structure that made up the installation, all his attention was focused on the center circular dome. A hollow circular sphere, radiating with etheric power, as otherworldly light circulated and danced around the edges of the dome. Resulting in the illumination of the of the Star Road connected to the gate, mass formations of light particles condescend into multiple rows of interwoven unbending filaments. Weaved together into that which humanity of today refers to as the Star Road.

From the most basic scans Mo Ye was able to pull, Bingling could surmise that the Star Roads. Were also themselves another type of megastructures, unlike the Gates themselves, the roads were theoretically some sort of neural physics-based matter of unbending filaments. Creating stellar highways systems that connected and link planets and even entire star systems to one another. Thus, enabling faster than light travel throughout the system.

Though not truly visible to the naked eye, star roads were barely visible in real space. Being their nature as mere shadows of their exotic neural physics construction woven between dimensions. The only visible visage one could ever truly see, where the connection points of the gates. Mostly seemingly inert, while already extend out several kilometers-long along with its thickness. Despite the sheer size of the construction, the star road has remained virtually unbreakable network of cables, on an immense scale that lay across the system. Thus, allowing starships to traverse over vast distances instantaneous in the blink of an eye connecting the various planets throughout the Sol System.

Finally, after Bingling had enough of gawking at the Realm Gate for the hundred time, he redirected his attention back to his work. His mind so keenly intent upon the screen that, he wasn't aware of the time that has passed before Bai Ling came up beside him.

"Young master we have arrived at Titan." This broke Bingling out of his concentration, as he turned to regard her. "Ah yes thank you."

He removed the multiple screens displayed in front of him, while rising from his seat. Now on the pic-feed, was displayed a massive planetary body. The figure in question, was one of the largest planets in the system Saturn. Most notably and key feature being the discal ring encircling the planet. However, the form and coloration of the planet was different compared to the history books, whereas in the text it was gas filled world filling the atmosphere. Making it uninhabitable for mankind to settle upon.

However, the view in front of Bingling was not that view, instead it showed a lush green world teeming with life. Even after the long years that have passed after the great war, even after the great change. Scars ramets of the war that nearly devastated humanity, still cling on, even the miracle wonders of that UFO couldn't rewrite the damages mankind had done to itself.

That was beside the point however as the giant planet wasn't the destination or point of interest for Bingling's ship. It was one of the smaller bodies floating alongside the planet. One of Saturn's many moons, one of the 82 moons to be exact, the one known as Titan. The moon too, looked nothing like how it's supposed to. Having undergo the 'Great Change' like the rest within the system.

[It was said that even mankind's advanced technology back then, we nearly could truly terraform to such an extent that the whole planet's entire being could be altered. The thought that came upon Bingling mind, now reflecting back on the matter. As he had done so many times before, it had always intrigued him to find the truth of the stories. It was like an itch that need to be tended to, there wasn't any way to avoid it. Such was the sensation Bingling, that he postponed his return home and commandeered the ship that was sent to retrieve him from the Sanctuary.

To which he then rushed to the nearest Realm Gate to return, to his now privately own planet or rather moon of Titan. It wasn't easily, but with the fund he had saved up from his allowance, and with a little influence from some debatable sources he was able to purchase the moon for himself.

It was here he expanded his ever-growing enterprise, turning the moon into his own private resort. As the ship neared the moon, instead of heading towards the planet's atmosphere. Instead, the ship was directed by Bai Ling to an orbiting structure alongside the moon. It was his prized headquarters of his company FrontierForge, the Heaven's Avil, Seeing the station in the pic-feeds, Bingling's heart began to pump twice as fast, his palms began to sweat. His posture was unsteady, his face revealed an intense emotion not previously present on his face before, a sense of urgency, no of yearning.

It felt like forever for Bingling as he waited near the sealed bulkhead of his ship. Each second felt dragged out, as he waited for the sealing mechanism to click and signal their release. When the bulkhead door finally opened even just a fraction of a gap, Bingling was already through almost squeezing his way through that slight opening. Bai Ling keeping pace effortlessly slightly behind per usual, Mo Ye being already within the station light years ahead. This action caught his receiving party that came to greet him off guard, a small parade of his most trusted personal.

"Young-young master thank goodness you're okay, I hope the AmhengOsa haven't done anything extreme." The elderly man at the head of the party stepped along Bingling, keeping up with his strides. The man's posture was straight, with his head held high hands behind his back. Even as elderly man was near sprinting after Bingling's stride.

"Nothing has happened old man, they wouldn't even dare take action if they have nothing to prove it." Bingling responded with indifference, clearly not seeing that as a problem, before asking the elderly man. "How about here? Did the AmhengOsa find anything here upon the Heaven's Avil?"

"None whatsoever young master, all staff performed their duties perfectly they didn't catch a whiff of any of the goods. However, young master in the case of VentureForge, it would take a little more effort." Bingling let out a sigh, though this outcome was foreseeable he didn't really comprehend just how much of a headache it truly would become. Though it didn't occupy his mind for long. Because that was the least of his concerns at the current moment.

"We'll deal with that in due time, what is the statue of the Oracle is everything ready despite my delay?" Bingling asked unconsciously picking up his pace. He was so close he could feel it, his heart began to pump loudly in his chest again. [Boss I know that you're excited and all but there's no need to be this dramatic, you're acting like a guy that hasn't a drink of water for days.] Mo Ye's voice rang within his head then, to which he simply followed up sharply.

[Maybe because I am, now enough with the nonsense is everything ready?]

[All ready on this end, waiting on you at observation deck.] Then the link with Mo Ye was cut though not truly lost he knew she was still with him. She never truly leaves him alone.

"Bob is everything in place?" Bingling turned his attention back to the elderly man behind him. Bob had been with him since he was but a babe, still suckling on his mother tit. There're not many people within the system that Bingling could trust, his old butler here Bob was but one of the few handful of souls privileged to know of his schemes and plans. Why wouldn't he be after all, there's nothing that the old man wouldn't do for Bingling. As such Bob the butler knew just what Bingling was referring to.

"Yes, young master, during your absence we've moved the Oracle down safety to the Dome and is waiting for your inspection." This put a simile on Bingling's face. "Then let us go and change history then old man." With those words, Bingling direction back his focus on his steps. Bob the Butler and the female guard Bai Ling trailing behind him, along with the parade of confidants following closely after.

He had been delayed long enough, finally Bingling thought. Finally, his goal was within his grasp.

Moments later.

After traversing through the many corridors and lifts leading deeper and deeper within the mega structure of station. Bingling and his crew had arrived at their destination. Upon entering through the last bulkhead seal, unveiling an open space. Though upon closer inspection was not so clear as one would think. Panels jutted out form the nearby walls, layers upon layers of holographic projecting over them. Then finishing off with a room size mirror glass screen at the opposite end of the space.

Through the glass, was another room this one was three times as large than the room that Bingling's group occupied. The space through the glass was immense, sources of machinery and power cables littered the upper surface of the walls. The bottom layer is also densely compacted with series of devices, and larges shapes of what appears to be containers or cages with small figures squirming within. Humanoid figures can be seen roaming about the area down below.

None of that was truly significant to Bingling's eyes, for only one figure among the sea of wonders below truly held his gaze. One massive object held suspended high above, to call it an object was almost sacrilege. Such was the majesty of the 'Thing' before Bingling's vison, finally after all this time to be able to gaze upon it. It took a great deal of effort and extreme means to transport and disguise his find, he almost feared that the AmhengOsa would discover what he had within his possession. Though that wasn't to say he wasn't unbothered by their interference in his projects. But that was more than enough of a smoke screen to hide the true prize, thus explaining his urge and rush to return here. Bingling was born into power, he grew up with the powerful. As such, the definition of power is something that barely phase him, but this, was much more.

The Traveler, the miracle wonder that caused the great change so many years ago, Bingling gazed upon it, it radiated with power. Untamed, untethered raw source of arcane power. So (), he could feel it, heavy and thick like a physical weight hanging over him. Despite all the measures put into place to conceal it, to protect it.

It had taken him so long, year after year, such an extensive amount of time with no certainty, that he would have succeed, after years of probing at even the insignificant of rumors and folklore, chasing after the slightest hint of a clue in the ruins of the past. At the end of it all however bore fruit, coming to fruition he had found it, his just reward for all his efforts.

"It truly is a sight, no matter how many times I see it." Bingling mindlessly marveled at the Traveler. Losing the poker facial expression, he had always maintained. Such a causal indignity that he wouldn't ever allow anyone to see. Luckily for him no other soul had the mind to pay attention. "It is as you say young master." Bob the butler beside him absent mindedly replied.

[Master all preparations is complete we're ready to begin whenever you're ready.] Mo Ye's voice echoed in Bingling's ear.

[Ah, yes bring me my link unit Mo Ye.]

Turning around as mechanism behind him could be heard activating. Floor panels shifted unveiling the machinery within, as a pod like device roughly the size of a human was pushed upward. This process had only taken seconds, to fully completed before Bingling replied to Mo Ye, and had just finished the last touches when he had turned around. Standing dutifully beside the pod was Bai Ling. She activated the seals on the pod, the transparent glass cover fizzed and digitized away. Revealing the inner gel-like layer, much like a bed-like mattress with the difference that it is framed roughly depict the form of the human body.

Calling it a pod was just a formality, for the link unit strongly reminiscent of a coffin. Being about 2.5 meters in length the missing upper clamshell that originally closed the unit. Bingling came up upon the pod removing the top layer of his clothing, leaving only the tight body suit on. Handing over his clothing to Bob, as he bowed low replying words of care for Bingling's wellbeing. Bingling simply nodded climbed as he into the Link Unit. The human outline gel mattress outlined perfectly for his size, as he made himself comfortable within, Bai Ling activated the seals again. As the upper clamshell digitalized and fizzed back into reality slowly but surely sealing Bingling within.

The transparent glass lost its transparency, as darkness began covering over Bingling as the glass began to polarize. Once it had fully polarized leaving him in shadow, after a few seconds section of the gel mattress began to glow dimly. Then his head suddenly prickled with heat. It wasn't actual, physical heat but an illusory heat felt by his nerve cells as they were stimulated by the Sensory Resonance. This was done by the hidden mechanism of same colored blue pseudo-nerve-cell crystal matrix, set around the area where he rested his head. This activated and stimulated a certain part of the brain. He then felt his consciousness drift and he felt weightless, then pulled into a dark void.

He didn't know how much time had passed, probably just mere nano seconds in real time, but here in the where he called the night mind it felt like years has just transpired. As he drifted in this weightless realm Bingling heard Mo Ye's voice again.

[The last bits are still being sorted out, there seems to be a slight delay in the relay transfer, but I'll get it sorted out before the experiment will start. Also, Bai Ling should be ready when you get down here.]

[I thought I enforced that I was going to act alone for this task did I not? Also, what kind of delay, its it urgent?]

[Some sort of reading that I can seem to pinpoint the source, but it's nothing to worry about, all other assets are ready on your word. So which avatar do you wish to use?]

At those words pic-displays of different picture profiles, all ranged from different body types and genders. Not all were completely human.

[Let's go with number two.] pulling the profile he was looking for overlooking just briefly before firmly accepting his decision.

[Really, I thought that you were going with number one or five.] Mo Ye said with an amused tone to her voice. Bingling ignored this not bothering to reply to her teasing.

Begin the Synaptic Resonance.

At this order, instantly the spiritual world Bingling was immersed within, it fell into darkness again, as all sense were lost as Bingling was pulled through into the nothingness void.
