THE THOUGHT

Having no choice Jessy accepts the offer willingly, "Thank you, Sir, I will accept and when I get a job, I will save sufficient money to buy my ticket to return home."

Without hesitating for a second he quickly asks wanting to know everything about her, "And where is your homeland?"

Jessy looks at the smile on his face so sincerely, his smile makes him look so handsome. there was no fear in her heart, at that moment she felt drawn to him.

Hesitating not she recalled his words a minute ago. 'He said to trust him,' she could not take her eyes away from him seeing how handsome he looked in his well-tailored silver-grey suit, it makes him look even more outstanding than the first Saturday we met. Unable to hold the truth from him, he seems to be my only friend and ally in this city.

Jessy said, "I live in Boston."

Afraid she will leave and he won't know where to begin looking he places the key to his home in her hand, "I will return later to see how you are settling down, now I must return to my office."

Brent held her hand and gently leads her to his car, looking for a reaction of surprise when she sees his car but none came.

When she was seated he closed the door and walked to the car's driving side. He then took his seat behind the steering wheel in silence, before he drove to his apartment.

The drive was silent, all she did was look out the window, reaching the apartment, Brent said softly, "Here we are, you will be safe here."

When he stop Jessy stepped out seeing the small but neat house, around the building was fenced and well-secured,

Feeling this joy from deep within Jessy didn't know how to express her gratitude in words. Alighting the luxurious car she stands on the sidewalk, all that could leave her mouth was, "Sir!"

As if he was waiting to hear her speak, he responded, "Yes, Jessymintha!"

"Never mind Sir," she stuttered feeling like the words were stuck in her throat, turning around to watch her before driving out, "Thanks for everything, Sir."

Brent replied with a smile, "You are most welcome."

Looking at her as she stood there with her hand waving as he drove away, it felt really good. Rejoicing in his heart knowing now she is reachable. 'I was devastated the entire week, now I must find a way to keep her near me so she won't disappear.'

Entering the building as the thought struck him, "One more secretary won't make a difference on this huge floor. And I did tell the woman I would see if I could help the homeless young lady by giving her a job. From what Jessyminthia said, it seems as though she is the person the middle-aged lady was speaking about. Now I could train her as a stand-by secretary just in case anyone falls sick. Miss John could tutor her, and any little errands she could run for the managers."
