BEING RELIEVED

Returning to her senses Jessy stopped suddenly and turned around, sensing the presence of someone. When she suddenly saw three young teenage boys looking at her smugly with evil smiles on their faces.

Jessy knew immediately they had evil intentions on their mind, but thanks to that Grandma I am safe now.

Looking to see where the Grandma was but she was nowhere in sight. "Oh Lord, did you send that angel in the form of grandma to help me? Thank You, I am a foreigner here and don't have my documents with me. I am scared of going to jail and don't want to distress anyone. You have helped me out yet another time Jesus, I must never forget Your favor and blessing over my life daily Now I must always remember to take out a few dollars for church offerings to show my appreciation before I purchase a few things, and Lord stretch these few dollars so I can get the things I need."

"With the money Sir gave me, I still have a few dollars remaining for traveling to work.

Jessy stopped at the supermarket, opening the money the Janitor gave her, Jessy blessed it once more before she went to the cashier to change one of the twenty dollars.

She put aside five dollars for offering then bought a piece of fish and a few other items before returning to the apartment.

Hearing the clock bang, Jessy snaps out of her daze and realizes she is standing at the door for almost half an hour.

"Well, what is there to worry about, I am safe now and I have a comfortable and safe place to rest my head for a few days until I return home."

Meanwhile, the three restless teenagers roam the streets mumbling among themselves about the opportunity they had missed out on.

Frank is the most aggressive one who keeps cursing. He keep questioning the others beside him, "Where did that old hag appear from all of a sudden? The road was clear now we have no one to play with."

Joey the youngest among the three looked at the two others and felt so relieved in his heart. He was afraid to say anything before they called him a coward, every time their plan failed, I always got the blame.

Recalling his mom's words, "Joey, you are going on the wrong road, one of these days you will end up in trouble because of those friends of yours, and when that happens don't call me. And another thing, if that happens you will be going straight back by your father."

"Mom, you are overthinking things, we are just going for a stroll, I am cooped up in the house the whole week with school and homework. Mom, today is Saturday and I want to have some fun to relax my brain. Now give me some money to get a few snacks."

Considering what almost happened Joey was afraid that what his mom said might have just happened, 'If that elderly woman didn't show up suddenly, what mom said might have happened. And exactly where did that elderly lady come from when the road was clear?"

Out of the blue, he heard Sam's phone ringing, Joey snapped out of his daze and glimpsed an ice cream parlor across the street. Joey left Sam and Frank, and walked across to the cream parlor,

Getting three ice creams he returned only to hear Sam saying, "Guys, I am sorry but I have to go, Mom isn't well."
