FEAR

Looking at the lonely street the place looks a bit spooky and dismal which puts a little fear in her heart.

Jessy knows that within the two weeks she has been visiting she has not encountered any death-defying dangers. "Well except for the car driver this morning but that was minor.."

Ignoring the chilly feeling she felt in her spine bone a minute ago, she turned around to see if she was being followed.

She became suspicious as though she heard footsteps behind her but there was nothing, not a soul in sight. "How strange, I know I heard footsteps behind me, so where did they go."

At that moment all Jessy wanted to do was reach a place of safety, not wanting to find herself in trouble. "If that were to happen I definitely would not be calling Johanna for help, and Sir has already helped me so much. I can't call him either." Jessy felt all her hair on her head and her hands raised.

Hastening her footsteps when she heard the provoking words and footsteps hurrying along behind her.

Feeling her heart flattering Jessy didn't want to get involved in any fight, she tried her best to ignore their words, to distract her fearful heart. Jessy began to pray a little aloud so she could hear herself instead of the voices behind her. She was just about to cross the street when she felt a hand hold her left hand.

Jessy gasped as her throat tightened and the heavy shadow fell over her, thinking it was one of the people who was following her. She closed her eyes tightly calling Jesus to help her.

Unaware that a vehicle was speeding through when a gentle voice asked, "What is wrong with you?" And pull me off the street.

Confused but becoming alert of the person's voice, Jessy opens her eyes only to see the dazzling light almost upon her glaring in her eyes.

Jessy almost lost her mind because fear had infiltrated her heart, and her body began trembling causing her knees to weaken.

With the hand holding on tightly Jessy tried her best to regain her composure as she looked at the person's face.

Observing the person's face closely, wanting to say thank you, Jessy didn't know if to laugh or cry., when she saw the elderly homeless woman in rags. "Thank you, Grandma, for saving me."

Seeing the danger she almost encounters, wondering, 'Where was the person who was provoking me a few minutes ago? Did I imagine it? Was I so afraid that I was hearing voices? Was my mind playing tricks on me? Oh God I almost got killed if this person didn't pull me away.'

Repeating her thanks with a grateful heart, "Thank you, Grandma, I wasn't paying attention. I will be more careful next time."

Seeing the nod Jessy felt her loosen her hold on her hand and then hurriedly cross the street.

Her hand felt cold and she began to cold sweat profusely. Slipping her hand inside her shoulder bag pocket recalling how anxious she was when she got the money

Jessy whispers, "Thank you, Lord, I thought I was going to lose my mind."
