JESSY'S PLAN

Becoming aggrieved as anger overwhelmed her, Jessy thought, "Because of me, Johanna could flaunt money around never considering other people's feelings. Her selfishness and ignorance cause her to trample on others to reach her goal.

I am partly to blame for her arrogance, I am fully aware of the type of person she is because she always steps on who she wants to get what she wants.

It is about time I do something about it, she must learn to stand on her own two feet and stop behaving as though she is the princess and everyone owes her something."

Jessy knew in her heart she had to be strong now and seek every opportunity to make up the money to purchase her returned plane ticket. I will not beg Johanna for money if that is what she is waiting for.

When the time comes to return home I will just return to get my few documents that are at her place. I am just so thankful for Sir. He is a very kindhearted person to me, and maybe he is the medium which God is using to bless me. I will trust the Lord to make my way successful until the time comes to leave.

Recalling what the Janitor said to her, "Child, I should have thought you were getting late and your family would worry, but I was so happy hearing you sing I ignored the time."

"Now listen my child, if you come every week, I will give you forty dollars, that will make my workload much easier, especially with your singing and I will get home earlier." "Thank you, Uncle, I will try my best to be here every week, and I love to work for the Lord, it gives me some peace and joy in my heart from all the hassling during the week."

"I know exactly what you are talking about, I thought it was I alone that feels that way, now I see how you love the Lord, child! so will you be coming to church in the morning?"

"Yes Uncle, I will be here." Seeing how happy she looked when he gave her the money, and how her dark grapes-like eyes watered, he felt sad and also joy just looking at her.

Saying to her softly, "Then reach home safely and thanks once more for all the help child."

"You are most welcome Uncle." Noticing how she was happy as if she was skipping along as she hurried away. Jessy wasn't feeling hungry the entire afternoon while cleaning the house of God but now her stomach growls loudly.

Having no choice she looks at the forty dollars still in her hand deciding to get a few items from the supermarket to fix her a meal. Recalling on her way to the church it had a supermarket she hurried along.

Unaware that she was being watched she thought of the few things she could get with the forty dollars.

Observing a streetlight dim about a hundred feet ahead Jessy whispers a silent prayer.
