JESSY PREPARATION

Rising early, Jessy had decided from the night before to reach the office at half seven.

Checking the time now as she stood at the security booth and noticed it was seven twenty-five. She breathed a sigh of relief.

She also was not too concerned if the security guard would hold her back for questioning because he was already acquainted with her, yet still, she silently whispered a word of prayer just to be on the safe side.

When the security asked her to sign the book she didn't hesitate for a minute, Jessy was pleased she had no problem getting inside the building.

In the staff room Jessy busy herself setting the trays with tea bags, sugar, milk, and coffee. Water was already boiled and full into the teapots and a kettle was on.

Jessy had no problem answering the phone and leaving messages on each desk when required.

Ten to eight as the staff chips in one by one, each requesting what they wanted as I fix their order.

Hearing as they waited for me to fix their tea, they discussed a staff meeting that would be held at ten.

When all had gotten their tea or coffee and were in their office, I hurried and cleaned the staff room before getting about to prepare the refreshments for the board meeting.

While I was going to prepare for the board meeting, I knew all eyes were on me, I felt as though my back was on fire, especially Miss John's. She never takes her eyes off me from the moment she enters the office and sees me serving the employees.

'I know that I was not informed to make refreshments for the staff attending the meeting, but by serving them a light refreshment I will get to meet the board members and many of the staff.'

Checking the time Jessy hurried and took the refreshment into the boardroom ignoring, all the eyes that were ogling her. Ten minutes before the meeting began Jessy took the jug of juice and glasses in then returned to the staff room for the container with the snacks.

About to leave the board room this gentleman in a well-tailored black suit steps in. He was in his early fifties.

Observing the jug of juice as soon as he enters the board room, becoming tempted knowing fully well he didn't have his breakfast.

In a gentle tone of voice, he said, "Good morning my dear, can you pour me a glass of that delicious-looking juice? It looks so very tempting, it makes my mouth water. and his stomach started to scrape.

'If Florence wasn't grumbling he would have just taken five minutes to eat.' Looking at his watch seeing the next two minutes the board room will be filled.

In all his years at the office he never likes to be late he practices to be first so he can look at the face of each employee's expression as they enter.

Jessy glanced at the gentleman as she poured the juice, enjoying the way the gentleman spoke.
