SUSPECTION

Jessy so wanted to spend the evening with Sir, but it was Saturday and she had already given her word to the Janitor to help him clean the church.

"I am sorry Sir, but I have already made plans for tomorrow, maybe another time, what do you say?"

Letting her go he step aside from the door and went to his desk. Jessy was flabaggested, 'Is he angry because I turn him down? She so wanted to tell him she couldn't break her promise to go and help clean God's house.

When he did speak it felt so dry and heartless, 'Oh dear God he looks so disappointed what should I do?' Hearing his words, "I have written out a cheque for six hundred for you as payment for the refreshment."

Jessy felt hurt when he places it in her hand as he looks up at her face and mentions with satisfaction in his eyes, "Jessy, you are doing an excellent job, I am really please and have no regrets whatsoever."

'Am I seeing right? this can't be, I know he is hurting so why does he speak as though he is happy and proud?'

Although her heart felt broken she said with a smile, "Thank you, Sir, I am glad you are pleased with my work, now if I am not needed, can I go, I might just have sufficient time to reach before the bank close to get the cheque change."

Brent hit his head and then calls after her, "Jessy, do you prefer cash instead?" knowing she was going to leave and was unaware if she has her identification card knowing Johanna has left her on the street and she hasn't gotten her luggage.

"It does not matter Sir?" Watching her back as she hurried out, disappointment seeps in, knowing he was so looking forwards to spending some time with her alone.

Lystra looks at her watch wondering, 'What were they discussing or doing in his office for thirty minutes? Boss has been behaving so strangely and why is she leaving the office in such a rush when it's just half three?'

As Jessy hurried out towards the elevator she felt as though her back was on fire, suspecting all eyes were on her.

Turning around seeing Miss John leaning on her door and looking at her. Jessy took courage and smiled then raised her hand and waved.

Looking at her go Lystra murmured, "Soon my dear, I will get you out of this office and you will never get the opportunity to enter this building, I can promise you that.'

Saturday came and Brent was busy the entire morning, from the moment he enters his office, he notices a cup of steaming cup of coffee and a lunch bag next to it. Brent has not seen Jessy but he knew immediately that Jessy had prepared breakfast for him.

While eating he glanced through a document. He was so caught up with the work that he had forgotten entirely about Jessy, Time has gone by so quickly and the phone never stops ringing. It was only when his eyes began burning he stop for a minute.
