JESSY VISIT JOHANNA

Rosanna was so occupied with the affairs of the goons, running from the hospital and to the police station that she failed to realise the days were gone so quickly.

When a notification came on the last Friday of the month revealing her end-of-the-month bank balance, Rosanna opened her eyes.

Reading the notification a few times to make sure she was seeing right, her mind almost flipped. "Did I spend so much behind those fools that I lost track of my spending? She realised she even used up her monthly allowance and the job was still not complete.

Becoming exasperated, Rosanna felt dispear fill her heart knowing she would bearly have enough for a week much less for the month. "Oh Lord, how am I going to explain to Dad that I need more money, all my savings are gone and now my allowance is short."

With sweaty hands, Rosanna considered the situation, "What madness have I gotten myself into? My jealousy has corrupted my mind and blinded me that I fail to see how I spent over five million and there's no result. Am I such a dimwit?"

Rosanna took some deep breaths and gradually calmed down. She patted her chest gently to calm herself down.

Consoling her heart she whispers, "I am his only daughter, he calls me his princess so what is there to fear? I shall stretch the truth a bit, no harm done, and he is a visionary and will certainly understand."

Rosanna looked at the time and decided to speak with her Dad immediately. "I am sure he won't hesitate especially when he hears that I love the person and am willing to make a few sacrifices to get what I want."

On the last Friday of August, Jessy decided to visit Johanna after finishing work a little early after considering all that was happening around her.

She took a taxi and headed out to Johanna's home, she needed to get her few belongings. It had already been four months since Johanna got married.

Ringing the doorbell, Jessy stood and waited for someone to open the door. Jessy was not too shocked nor surprised when the door was open and Mark was standing as tall and handsome as always.

Jessy was fully aware that Johanna had the place secured and knew the surveillance camera would reveal her at the gate entrance when the Security informed them of her presence.

From what she knew of her cousin this was one of her tricks. I am sure she wants to see my reaction towards Mark. I hope she knows I don't tolerate trash I discarded.

From the day he decided to accept Johanna's bribe and marry her, I lost respect for him immediately and discarded him as trash.

Now if he feels the branded clothes he is wearing could cover up his deception and blackness of heart he better think again. He might blind the eyes of others, but I took him up from the dump and cleaned him. I know his weakness and strength. Now he expects me Jessymintha Mogana Albert to forgive him.

Looking at him directly in his eyes, Jessy can see the only change in his life is the branded clothes but he is the same deceitful and heartless person as before. My upbringing and status are of a higher calabura and won't permit me to accept him even as a friend.

With a smirking smile, she thought, 'This is better than I expected, Now if only Johanna knew the huge favour she did for me by exposing his true intentions. I wouldn't reveal this matter to her so early, nor give her that satisfaction. Maybe later, I will reveal what a grand favour and blessing she did for me by marrying Mark.'

At first, Jessy felt a bit disgusted by just looking at him. She thought, 'The pain and hurt I thought would resurface when I saw him, were no longer there.'

Putting on a genuine smile she stood tall when Mark said, "Jessy my darling, how are you?"

Looking at Mark from head to toe before calmly responding, "Hello Mark, you are looking good, I hope you are happy. Now kindly inform Johanna that I am only here to collect my few things, if that's not a problem."

When he reached out to hold Jessy's hand she stepped aside, "I can walk thank you, I don't need your assistance or for you to hold my hand. I have learned to walk on my own without anyone."
