CAUGHT IN MY TRAP

Rosanna's fuse seemed to blow the moment she heard those words. She never expected things to escalate so quickly, and become unfavourable and cause her evening to ruin and become so sour.

"Oh God, why did I need to get so angry, now look at the outcome. And why is it every time I make arrangements to get rid of her, I am the one who always comes out the looser?"

Time seemed to fly after both parties were rushed to the hospital. The young man was admitted to the hospital after both parties were attended to. With the help of the police to settle the matter out of court, Rosanna had no choice but to take full responsibility for the entire incident. She had to pay all the medical bills and the cost of the young man's car repairs. She also had to discuss the compensation for his lost time away from his job with his lawyer.

Feeling heartbroken with no way out, she agreed when suddenly she felt that even the gods were fighting against her for her misdeeds. Now I am caught in my trap and there doesn't seem to be a way out.

Lost in her thoughts as her mind went back to the incident at the restaurant, and when that sneaky and cunning b*tch outwitted my men and instead of her being injured they were the ones who got outsmarted and ended up injured by the car. And now this, "Oh my God, what is it about her that whatever I throw her way, she sends it back tenfold? Since I met that b*tch I have lost so much money my gold card is dry and if I continue my Dad might end up in bankruptcy."

Having no choice especially when her parent's angry faces glared at her, Rosann kept saying, "Sorry!" Knowing if she open her mouth she might have to fend for herself.

Thirty minutes after Brent had entered the apartment he didn't see Jessy but what he saw made him even angrier which caused him to rush out and leave. Becoming so furious after seeing the letter Mark had written to her.

While driving home he only thinks about Mark's love letter to her. Only at that moment did Brent realise the reason for his visit, which he had completely forgotten when he saw the letter.

When his dad called to tell him about Rosanna's accident, All he said, "Dad what does that have to do with me, she is mom's friend, not mine."

He switched off his phone not waiting a second for his dad to respond. Grumbling as he drives, "What the hell is going on, first, it was Jessy who almost got knocked down, and now Rosanna? Could it be the people who are targeting me have changed their tactics and now attacking the people close to me?"

While pondering about this incident and accident as he drove, when a thought suddenly struck him. He calls Johnny, "Kindly, be alert and don't let anything slip your eyes by the apartment."

Jessy had opened the front gate due to Carl's insistent, he helped drop off all the groceries at her door and then left.

Johnny who was a bit dumbstruck had only seen the young lady for the first time. He took pictures and forwarded them to Brent.

Brent checked his phone receiving a message and seeing the pictures was even angrier. Wondering, 'Who the hell this person was? Is he, Mark?"

He considered the picture a bit then concluded in his mind, with the question on his mind for a moment.

Then her recalled the person he saw that night entering the room, "This is not that Mark person, so who is this person? He is well-dressed and seems very respectable towards women, as he assisted Jessy.

Entering the apartment Jessy took all the grocery items inside and locked the door. A few times she checked the front to ensure she wasn't followed. Recalling the way the young lady glared at her.

Shaking her head, "Maybe, I am overthinking this matter but the way the young lady at the supermarket never left, and continues to follow me, Lord, did I misjudge her intention? Oh God, did I overdo it by allowing Carl to purchase the items, but I wanted to sway her thoughts so she would believe that he is indeed my brother and remove any evil intentions, Now I am all alone oh Lord, so please protect me and build a shield of protection around my home, in Jesus name, amen."

Securing the door she switch off the front and the drawing room light.
