Exploring

Kenji was with Toshi in another village. It had been a week since Kenji had slain his second demon. They were trying to search for something they found in a book. The Wonderous Mysteries of The 3rd Magic War. Many artifacts were lost in the battle, and Kenji believed that they would make him more powerful. "Keep searching, Gramps!" Kenji said persistently. "I know there's something here! The book said to come here and I'm not leaving until I find it!" After kicking away some rubble, Kenji found a note. "Make sure to visit the Mizu tribe, honey!" The note read. "Typical lovebirds," Toshi said. "Maybe we should check out the place written on here." Kenji looked down at the note again. "Mizu means water, right? Maybe this address will lead us to some village that can help me with my water training." Kenji said impatiently. Toshi and Kenji left the empty scene and searched around their area for the address. After an hour of searching, they finally found themselves at the location. It was a small, abandoned village. Kenji kicked at a rock in frustration. "Wait, Kenji, someones coming out!" Toshi said. A tall figure walked out of the everlasting darkness. It seemed that a dark glow followed him as he walked. He hobbled along slowly as if he was injured in the leg. Kenji started to pull his sword out but felt heavier and heavier as the figure limped closer. Finally, he stopped. Kenji could now see him clearly. He was tall and lanky, and blood-red hair flowed to his sides. He was wearing a kimono with orange stripes that faded to yellow and had dark brown pants along with a deadly-looking scar on his face. He spoke in a very soft tone, yet his voice was rough and painful to hear. "What do you think you're doing in this village? In MY village?" The voice said. The man walked toward Toshi and picked him up. "Hey Gramps, look at me when I'm talking!" He shouted. Kenji quickly ran toward the man. The man dropped Toshi and kicked Kenji away from him swiftly, like a man killing a bug making too much noise. "Feisty, aren't you, kid?" The man said. The man picked up Kenji by the hair. He punched Kenji in the stomach and threw him aside. "I'll make sure to teach you to respect your elders." He kicked Kenji in the stomach and picked him up again. He looked at Kenji deep in the eyes. Kenji struggled and struggled, but couldn't get out. He punched Kenji in the gut and threw him aside once again. "You're pathetic." The man said. "I honestly thought you'd put up more of a fight." Kenji struggled to get up. The man kicked Kenji in the face, knocking him back onto the surrounding trees. Kenji was struggling to catch his breath. Kenji jumped onto the tree next to him and lunged toward the man. The man grabbed him by the collar, kicked him in the gut, and threw him to where Toshi was sitting. He rolled up next to Toshi. "Who is this guy?" Kenji thought to himself. The man walked up to Kenji slowly. A dark aura followed him once again. He picked Kenji up and punched him in the face repeatedly. Eventually, Kenji started to cry. His whole face was beaten and bruised, and he was bleeding badly. "I'll let you go, for now, kid, but don't let this happen again!" He dropped Kenji to the floor. "Kushibo." The man looked at Toshi. He walked toward Toshi slowly. Kenji had no strength left to get up. He picked up Toshi by the collar. "How..how do you know my name?"
