Acquaintance

Kenji choked on the rice he had in his mouth for a second. Kenji crawled back. "I sure gave you a beating, huh?" Kushibo said. "Either way, you're pretty smart. I'm sorry for what I did. Maybe you can stop by and get some water training sometime." Kenji's eyes lit up. Aside from feeling horrendous, he felt a bit of joy in all the mix. He sprung up from the floor. "Go grab your sword and meet me outside." Kushibo walked into the yard. Kenji swiveled around, looking for his sword. Kenji quickly grabbed his sword and ran outside. "What? Where…where are the dummies?" Kenji said curiously. "So the old man taught you with that classic training? Huh, either way, this is going to be different." Kenji looked at him with confusion visible on his face. "You're going to be fighting me." Kushibo bellowed excitedly. "I've seen how smart you are, kid. I think you have some potential!" Kenji frowned. How was he suppose to go up against someone that was not just a foot taller than him, but also a master swordsman? He had no sword skill whatsoever. Kenji stepped back a bit and prepared. "First, swing at me." Kushibo said. "I have to at least know that you are able to hit me before I actually try to beat you." Kenji swiftly jumped toward Kushibo and held his sword behind him. He slid under Kushibo, leaving a long trail of water, and jumped toward the closet tree. He jumped off of the tree and launched himself at Kushibo. Kushibo dodged Kenji and kicked him in the gut. Kenji went flying. He rolled up next to Toshi. Kenji spun and leapt into the air. He looked at Kushibo and ran up to him quickly. Kushibo ducked his punch and kicked Kenji in the face, grabbed his foot, and threw him back into the hut. Kenji stood up slowly. He picked up his sword and looked deeply into the eyes of Kushibo Kurazaki. Kenji thought for a bit, then charged at him again. This time, he dropped his sword on the way to Kushibo. Kushibo noticed this, but didn't get distracted by it. Kenji slid under Kushibo once again, and then he lifted his hand slowly. His sword rose into the air on a massive wave. "What is this?" Kushibo said. The water hit Kushibo like a brick. He was knocked back, and the sword that was on the waves was now piercing Kushibo's arm. "A little early for cutting, kid." Kushibo said. "But I admire your will and thinking. I'm surprised you didn't end up with ice. Either way, I'm going to start fighting now. I'll be using my sword, but I will be holding back." Kenji was excited. He had never gone up against a real swordsman before, and the only real training he had gotten was from his mother. Kushibo picked up his sword. It was laying a few feet away from him. He unsheathed it. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Kushibo said. Kenji looked at him with a gleam in his eyes. Kenji started to laugh. Kushibo smiled. Kenji leapt towards Kushibo with the courageous roar of thunder by his side.
