Sokudo the Speed God

The demon stated his name. "Sokudo," he said. Sokudo chuckled and regrew his head. "You'll have to do better than that when it comes to beating my speed, kid!!" Kenji backed up slowly and started to power up. His horns grew and orange lines appeared on his chest, arms, and legs. Kenji jumped into the air and focused energy into his sword. He tightened his grip on his sword and started to speed up. Kenji pierced a massive hole through Sokudo's head with his sword. He pulled his sword back and kicked Sokudo in the face. Sokudo grabbed his leg and kicked him in the head. He kicked him in the gut, kicked him in the face, and kicked him out of the arena. Kenji kicked in the face, but Sokudo grabbed him by the neck and lifted him into the air. Sokudo slammed him to the ground and laughed. Kenji was sweating profusely now. Sokudo jumped backward and started to run around the whole arena. Kenji tried to push himself up. "You don't understand, Kenji. The reason I look so tired.." Sokudo started. "Is because of my speed. I can't stop. Every time I try to run, I accidentally speed up extremely. It's like hell for me. I'm always tired. Fatigued. All of this makes me the being I am today, Kenji. My energy flows through me even in the nighttime. I get no sleep. I can't comprehend why this is happening to me, and neither can anyone else. Nobody can do this. Nobody can end my eternal suffering, Kenji. Nobody can end this story for me." Kenji hated Sokudo, but he still felt some sympathy for the demon. Kenji got up. He knew what he had to do now. "His suffering. I must end his suffering! Nobody deserves to live like this!" Kenji said to himself. He balled up his fist. He saw his sword a few feet away from him. Sokudo grabbed his foot and slammed him on the ground a few times before throwing him out of the arena. Kenji blasted himself into the arena and grabbed his sword in the process. Red lines formed a pattern on his chest, legs, and arms. Kenji smiled and launched himself toward Sokudo. He kicked Sokudo in the gut and spun. After that, he kicked Sokudo in the face and slammed him to the ground. Kenji fell to the floor and squirmed as Sokudo slammed him against the ground. Kenji kicked him in the gut and tried his hardest to get Sokudo to release his grip. Sokudo laughed. He thought Kenji was pathetic. Kenji lit up his sword. A bright and powerful blue flame. Kenji held his sword behind him and used it to propel him forward. He landed behind Sokudo and prepared. Sokudo swiftly turned around, but his speed wasn't enough. Kenji kicked him in the jaw and cut his gut open with his sword. Sokudo quickly regenerated and jumped back. Even with all the speed he had, Kenji had quickly adapted. Kenji launched himself toward Sokudo and kicked him repeatedly. He kicked the demon in the face and created an explosion that sent him flying out of the arena and a long way away from the stadium. He used his sword to launch him back to the arena. "12 seconds," Sokudo muttered. "You're not the only one who can adapt, Kenji." Sokudo powered up even more. Kenji had finally made it back to the stadium. He kicked Sokudo in the face once more before backing off. Sokudo held his hand out. Black lines formed a pattern on his body, and a sword materialized in his hand. Kenji dropped his broken blade. He slowly hobbled toward Sokudo. Wings of blue fire grew out of his back. His hair was flowing like water, and his eyes were a deep and dark red. He slowly lifted his fists up. His arms were red while the rest of his body was pale as ever. Kenji felt purple flames surround him. His energy was rising higher and higher now. Sokudo sped toward him with a trail of lightning following. Kenji spun and aimed his fist for Sokudo's head with the power of fire rushing by his side.
