Blood Moon

Although Sokudo's hit was the one that landed, Kenji still made an effort to get up. His wings grew bigger and burned faster, and his horns turned an even darker shade of red. His bones were aching. He spun and picked up his broken blade. He coated it in energy and made the sword have a blade made of pure energy. Kenji swung his sword around confidently. Thunder grew louder and louder around him. Kenji used an explosion to distract Sokudo and launched himself toward him. Kenji kicked Sokudo in the face and immediately launched himself back. He launched himself around the entire arena. Sokudo finally caught up and kicked him in the gut and blasted him out of the arena. Kenji flew past Akuma. Kenji flipped and regained his balance. He slowly walked back to the stage with his hand in the air. Sokudo laughed. "You look like an idiot," Sokudo shouted. Kenji set his foot in the first step and closed his fist. That's when Sokudo noticed the large red circle that Kenji drew around the arena. Before Sokudo could react, the arena blew up. Sokudo was launched far away from Kenji and the others, and it gave Kenji time to think. Kenji finally came up with a plan. He drew circles in front of him, behind him, and at his sides. Then, he dug his sword into the dirt. He twisted his sword until it made a deep hole in the dirt. Sokudo sped toward Kenji. Kenji's wings grew bigger and lightning started to strike the area around him. Sokudo stepped on one of the circles and the lightning struck him at the same time. Kenji was struck as well, but his demon marks protected him. He let out an explosion so large that it reached Akuma. Once all the smoke, dust, and dirt had cleared, a massive crater where the arena was showed itself. Kenji dropped his sword. He had used up all of his energy. He felt to the center of the crater. Sokudo walked toward him slowly. Half of his body had been disintegrated. He regenerated swiftly and started talking. "To kill me, kid, you need to rid me of all 5 hearts I have. That will never happen. Face it, you're just not on my level." Sokudo crouched down next to Kenji. He slapped him. "Akuma told me that your goal is to stop the war between all races," Sokudo said. He pointed to Akuma. "Do you see the cut on his hand? That was you." He kicked Kenji in the gut and slapped him again. Kenji coughed. He couldn't feel his limbs anymore. "Nothing will work for you, kid! No matter how much family you lose, how many friends you gain, you won't be able to prevent a war from happening! I'm sure you've thought about it, right? You probably don't even have a plan!!" Sokudo was laughing at Kenji. His voice was getting rougher and rougher with each laugh. Kenji balled up his fist. Thunder started to strike the ground around them. The crater became larger and larger. Kenji slowly rose. He felt fire take over his body. He grabbed Sokudo's wrist before he could slap him again. Sokudo looked at him. Kenji slammed Sokudo to the ground and lifted him up once more. He kicked Sokudo into the air and launched himself up there as well. He kicked Sokudo repeatedly and then spun. He had taken his sword with him. He drove his sword into Sokudo's gut and prepared. Sokudo squirmed and struggled. The sword wouldn't budge. Kenji had focused all of his energy into the sword. "Blood Moon." Suddenly, the demon's body was incinerated. Kenji fell down to the crater, chuckling. He passed out.
