53. I'm Warning You

"I'm sure you're aware Mijin was to leave at first light?"

"Yes. Dad told me." Niel replied, his hands folded respectfully in front of him. He had had much respect for Mijin's parents and felt bad at disrespecting them yesterday. His violent actions had almost ruined everyone's mood. It was a huge surprise for him when he was met with a quiet and ecstatic mood from Yeon's father during breakfast.

"Were you two fighting over Mijin? You were quite furious so I couldn't ask you yesterday. Seeing now that you are more calmer, maybe you want to expound on that matter."

When Niel didn't utter a single word, Mijin's mother pressed on. "Since when did you start being so violent? If you don't speak up, I'll let dad do the talking instead..."

"No...it doesn't have to come to that..." Niel tensed at the thought of having Mijin's father in this conversation. He had a similar temper to his daughter and that realization only meant they won't go anywhere if they were to have a discussion. Her mother was much more calmer and composed though she had a threatening scent that made him weak in the knees. "I can't keep running away and lying to you all anymore and coming here has made me see that. I used to like Mijin a lot, maybe I still do but I was hoping she would come clean about some things by now but never did. I admit I was happy when I was invited here since you two have literally been my parents for the past three years and have made me feel at home yet, at the moment I feel conflicted over whom to defend. Mijin or Yeon."

"What do you mean?"

"If I'm to tell you anything, it will be the third time I snitch and I do not wish to do that. In this case, Mijin is the one to speak up over what happened to Yeon though I acknowledge some good did come from it since Yeon was able to meet his fated mate but I just can't be here and act all calm when Yeon is a brother to me. Besides, I fear Mijin may be up to something again and I'm afraid it may ruin Yeon further when he is just about getting his life back in control."

"If you're referring to the visit to the police, Mijin was the one who spoke against it. In fact, Yeon doesn't need to pay a visit to the police station anymore since after his marking with Stannie, whatever those perpetrators did to him has worn off."

"...But the investigation might soon come to an end mom. Mijin knows that and is aware it will put her in a safe place...however, if indeed the investigation finalizes, what about the the other people involved in that scandal? They are still roaming free. If the police pull out from constantly watching over Yeon and Stan, they might become targets of revenge. I do not believe those people worked alone. They must be in some sort of mafia to have pulled up such a stunt in confidence..."

"I understand your worries and concerns for Yoen's safety however, how does Mijin come into this?"

"Please ask her of her involvement in that matter. She knows more than she lets on. I do not wish to be the bearer of bad news but that is all I can say for now. I just can't stand seeing Yeon suffer yet again. He has been nothing but a brother to me mom."

"Okay son. I'll follow up on this matter discreetly with Mijin. However, I still have to inquire how that explains your violent behavior towards that poor boy. He gave your father and I a wonderful gift as you saw. Do you have any idea what it means for his family to invest in our gym? Your father and I have been looking for a good investor to expand our facilities, not to mention fitness programs beyond just the gym. When we found out which family he comes from, we were shocked. His mother is one of the most respectable and veteran lawyer...that the thought of meeting up with her gives me jitters..."

"I'm sorry I acted that way..."

"You must talk to him before he pulls out from this offer, not to mention suing you for physical assault!"

"I know him...I doubt it will come to that..."

"Don't take this matter too lightly. If he has not already taken pictures of his injuries then I'm sure he'll file a police report against you. This is why I called you to talk to you about this. Talk to Stannie and have him speak on your behalf. He did mention Stan is his best friend..."

Niel grimaced at the idea...two people he disliked...begging for forgiveness and pacifying them...heck no! He'd rather get sued. Besides, it's not like his family won't jump in to defend him. They may be in the states but would be willing to fight for him despite him not being in good terms with them.

Niel had come to school in the country because most of his life, he'd grown with his grand parents. This matter was sure going to put him in a bind with them considering how strict they were however, he believed he could handle the situation. He admitted to himself he did loose his temper. Elric had always been like that and he'd known for the longest time. However, him talking of Mijin like that tipped him off, not to mention Elric constantly pestering him about his scent.

"I hate that guy..." Niel said aloud and Mijin's mom smacked his back as she stood up. "Ouch!" Niel exclaimed as he scooted away from her.

"Make peace with that boy you hear me! Or else I'll speak to dad about this matter."

"Fine I will..."

"Good...because I see him coming this way." Waving his hand to catch Stan and Elric's attention, Mijin's mother called out excitedly to them and they waved back.

"From surfing?"

"Yea!" Stan replied.

"Someone wants to see you both." She said as she grabbed a hiding Niel who was shaking his head violently in refusal but Mijin's mother's grip had been just as strong as her husband's.

"Here he is!" She shouted as her grip on Niel only became tighter.

"Oh...then if that's the case, we must oblige!" Elric shouted back and gave Stan his surfboard then whispered briefly in his ear and started walking towards them, smiling at how Niel's facial expression shows disapproval.

"Stan has plans with Yeon but I'll be happy to keep Niel company if that's okay with him. He doesn't look happy to see me though." Elric said after reaching the mini shed where they'd been having their conversation.

"How are you feeling now poor child? Are you well enough to be surfing like that?" Yeon's mother said as she gently touched Elric's badly bruised face.

"Its a beautiful place, I couldn't pass the opportunity to surf with Stan. Besides, he'll soon be giving his whole time to Yeon that I'll hardly get time to spend with him."

"Hohoho!" Yeon's mother laughed mischievously and gently tapped Elric's wet shoulder. "I know what you mean son. It was a pleasant surprise yesterday when they came in that we forgot about my husband's birthday and started celebrating those two instead. In fact I think that's what has kept my beloved in good spirits today and yesterday."

"Yea, I'm glad Yeon doesn't need to suffer anymore. Stan is a good person so I'm confident he will take care of Yeon well and if he doesn't, I'll hold him accountable."

"What a nice young man you are..." Nudging Niel next to Elric, she asked. "Don't you think so Niel?"

"Yes he is..." Niel's response was passive as he held his head up high to look at the result of his punches. Elric's face was badly bruised and he seemed to flinch a little every time he formed that irritating smile of his.

"I'll leave you two then. Niel has been looking for you but I informed him you'd gone surfing. It's good I got a glimpse of you and Stan just in time."

Glancing back at Niel, Elric smiled and affirmed he'd also been meaning to have a conversation with his assaulter.

"Wonderful! See you two at lunch then." Yeon's mother said and waved goodbye, walking happily while humming to herself.

"I won't apologize you jerk. You deserved every punch I threw at you."

"I'm not expecting you to." Elric said and sat down on the bench outside the mini shed. He looked around at the pots of fully bloomed flowers and smiled. "I like this place. Who knew I needed a break from life?"

"Is it true you still met up with Mijin post my breakup with her? Or were you saying that to purposely rile me up?"

"Of course we did. Mijin and I are very lonely so we get a long well...though I admit I hadn't seen her for sometime until the evening we got here. Why do you ask?"

"Forget it." Niel said and started pacing infront of Elric. He seemed uneasy and frustrated. "She wants me to apologize to you..."

"Mijin?" Elric asked surprised and amused at the same time.

"No you jerk! Her mother...and I'm sure everyone else..."

"If you want I'll tell them during lunch you did so don't stress about it. I deserved it anyway. I should have been careful, seeing that you're still in love with Mijin..."

"I don't love her anymore."

"You used to follow her around campus before and after she graduated. Everyone could see that since you seemed to not care how needy it made you seem. I don't know how long you two dated but a relationship that long just doesn't end up like that. Besides, I eavesdropped on your conversation yesterday so I get the part where you said she is scary...I'm skeptical of her now too..."

"You what?" Niel stoped and shot Elric an angry eye.

Raising his hands in defense, Elric said while retreating away from Niel, "You two were quite loud anyway so don't bite me...well, I wouldn't mind if you bit me in a different circumstance however, I'm sore everywhere I doubt I'll even be able to kiss you right now..."

"What the hell man! Stop changing the subject! How much did you hear?"

"Everything of course. I followed you two to your room after informing everyone else I'll be your mediator...damn...you two are way too toxic..."

"Fuck you!"

"Please do since I was hoping to get some action with you but you pulverized my pretty face but don't fret, I can assure you my lower part works just fine..." Elric stopped when Niel raised his fist at him again then halted mid air.

"I don't mind being hit in bed...but this situation, here...well, I don't want to be hit again, especially after I had nicely agreed that I'll confirm your apology in front of anyone during lunch."

"You're so sick you know that? I'm doing my best to be respectful towards you and not cause anyone trouble but you keep provoking me. What do you want from me?"

"I just want a taste of your scent that's all."

"Why?" Niel asked, angry and confused at the same time.

"I think I like it. I often got it from Mijin and sometimes Yeon that I'd thought it was one of his scents. He'd used your clothes to hide his scent post what happened to him and after you broke up with Mijin, I hardly smelled it. You may not know but Mijin's scent repulses me so she rarely uses it therefore I'd depend on the mild scent she had of you."

"How sure are you it was mine in the first place? You were not the only guy Mijin fooled around with..."

"That scent was constant. Besides, why would Yeon have it? In fact, it had been more on Yeon's clothes. You were the only friend Yeon had so it had to be your scent."

"So you sleep with anyone as long as you like their scent? Is that why you are shamelessly hitting on me after sleeping with my ex girlfriend numerous times?"

"I sleep with anyone who I like and are willing to play around with with no strings attached, even if they reject my scent or I reject theirs." Standing up to face Niel face to face, Elric added. "I was willing to end my life of promiscuity to pair up with Yeon because of his sweet scent, and the mild scent of yours he had on him. It felt good on my skin and I loved it, yet, Yeon belongs to Stan now so it's a relief its yours. You're single now, unpaired, so why don't you try me. As long as you take inhibitors, I can't scent you and neither can you scent me..."

"You disgust me Elric. I used to dislike Stan, but now I hate you the most."

"Ouch...that hurts you know, even for someone like me. I'm the one who's pretty face you pulverized..."

Moving closer towards Elric to add emphasis on his statement, Niel said, "Stay away from me. I'm warning you."
