54. A Friendly Advice

"Yeon, I think your fated is looking for you..."

Turning to look back, Yeon lamented. "What the heck what does he want this time?"

Nudging his son with a forceful shove, Yeon's dad bellowed. "What do you mean what the heck? Go to him!"

"No dad, I need a break from him. I see him all the time!" Yeon complained and watched in displeasure as Stan spotted them both and started jogging towards them.

"Doesn't he look so good and fit without his shirt on...as if he is modeling for a summer advertisement..." Yeon's dad said in admiration.

"Yeon, dad, lunch is ready..." Stan said upon reaching them.

"Stop calling him dad!" Yeon complained as his father pulled him to stand up.

"If you weren't covered in bruises, I'd have smacked your face silly. I'm the one who told him to call me dad whenever he came visiting. Suzzie and Niel call me dad too so he adress me just the same, now shut up and go with him."

Smiling at their little quarrel, Stan spoke. "Actually, I came to get you two. Mom says lunch is ready."

"Okay then. You two head a long, I'll go inform your parents..." Yeon's father replied and just as they turned to leave, he stopped them. "...Oh! ...And Stannie, don't chew on my son that much. He is not food..." Suddenly, he stopped midway and became all flustered as images of the events of yesternight with his wife played in his mind. "Damn it! I meant to say....chew on something else...or a little less on my son you hear me!"

"Yes sir..." Stan was beginning to be more amused. Yeon and his father were alike at getting embarrassed.

"Sir?"

"I mean...dad."

"Don't forget that!" He said as he pointed a finger briefly at Stan and strode away quickly without looking back.

Seeing that his father was a distance away from them, Yeon asked, "What do you want? Can't I spend time with my family for a while? Lunch is not until an hour away..."

"We are dating now so I'll openly show my jealousy whenever you spend more time with other people than me."

"What the heck? He is my father!"

"...And I'm your fated..."

"Big difference obviously..." Yeon rhetorted as he pushed his hair back in frustration then groaned at the movement. His body still hurt, not to mention the bite mark from Stan marking him. Glancing at the one he gave Stan on his shoulder, he smiled, briefly forgetting why he felt irritated.

"Why are we arguing in the first place? I was in such a good mood until you showed up?"

Stan seemed bemused all of a sudden before he reached out to touch his fated's face. "Yeon...your eyes...they are changing color..."

"What? I thought they turned dark red as they should..."

"Well, they look more scarlet red now..." Stan said as he moved to get a closer look then bent down to Yeon's eye level.

"Why is this happening?" Yeon asked seeming scared and confused. He remembered vividly how his eyes looked like post marking and today morning when he woke up next to Stan. "Are you sure Stan?"

"Don't panic, relax. We will visit uncle and seek advice once we get back. Let's just enjoy ourselves now okay?" Stan said as a smile formed on his face. He didn't want his fated to be frantic over the matter when they have been having a good time since they'd gotten here. Besides, they were to leave the day after tomorrow so there was no harm in waiting. If anything, his parents where always a resourceful backup.

"Okay." Yeon said calmly, feeling the scent of his fated slightly cover him.

"Well, once you relaxed, they changed back to normal." Stan said, his gaze still maintained at Yeon's eyes. "Must be a mood thing."

"How cute." Said a female voice to which both of them turned, Stan immediately displeased upon seeing Mijin.

"Mijin..." Yeon was the first to speak, unsure how to feel around his sister who could clearly sense his discomfort around her. "We haven't talked since I came....You seem fine."

"I want to speak to your beloved...if you don't mind little brother." She said so calmly that Stan almost believed she was a different person.

"No." Stan meant to brush off any thoughts of Mijin being nice to him but spoke his thoughts aloud. Grabbing his fated by the hand, he said, "Yeon, let's go inside."

"I don't bite Stan, so you don't have to be openly so afraid of me." Mijin said, pleased by how uncomfortable Stan seemed around her. She hated him so much but had to act composed in front of her brother. To think that they were finally bonded before she had her chance with Stan...how competitive of Yeon to beat her at her own game, Mijin thought to herself.

"It's okay Stan, I'll see you inside." Yeon said as he pulled his hand free from Stan's hold. "Mijin, catch you after lunch. We have a lot to catch up on."

Stan didn't care that Yeon may hear his displeasure at being left alone with his sister for he didn't wait before Yeon walked a distance further before asking Mijin. "What do you want this time?"

"I came to warn you." Seeing Stan raise a brow in suspicion, she added. "Yeon's scent is still stronger than yours..."

"And what of it?" Stan asked, unmoved by Mijin's attempt to act concerned for his brother's welfare. He had already accepted that as long as he was to be with the love of his life, he'd have to put up with Mijin. However, that amour of preparedness was breaking down fast since he could feel his patience running out. He glanced at Yeon who had already walked a distance away and wondered to himself if he knew just how selfish and conniving his sister was.

"The least you could do is protect my brother now that you've completed the marking." Mijin said as she followed Stan's gaze. "My mother's scent is stronger than my father's yet somehow, the've found ways to balance it out. I understand Yeon scent manifested completely recently however, as his marker, it is your responsibility to balance his scent equally to yours. It won't tire you as before now that you've marked him."

"It's none of your business so stay out of our affairs."

Mijin chuckled at Stan's defiance. She had expected his arrogant attitude after all. "Hey, I'm trying to protect my brother. He can manipulate scents now therefore you two can't tell since you're both fated, my mom and dad included but the rest of us can smell your scents so please, if you like him as you often claim, cover his scent up or something."

"Why are you telling me this?" Stan asked suspiciously. He had to keep his guard up around her, after all, this was Mijin he was talking to. Despite acting as if he cared for him and Yeon, there was no way she'd come to speak to him without any malicious motive.

"What are you up to?" Stan asked pointblank. He felt that Mijin was wasting precious time he could have been spending with Yeon.

"Think whatever you may. I don't care anymore. Just blend each other's scents or something...with each others clothes for one. Yeon is making the rest of us suffocate."

"No one has complained so far..."

"They are being considerate, and Yeon's scent is nice too." Turning to leave, she added. "Do as you will. It's not my business if Yeon gets kidnapped again..."

"Hey! Stop! Why the hell would you say that?" Stan hadn't realized his hand had reached out to stop Mijin from her tracks. Letting go immediately, he watched Mijin smile at his discomfort and sudden need to want to listen more.

"What do you know?"

"The current update is those perpetrators no longer have any residual imprint from Yeon thanks to you finally marking him. However, you and I both know not all of them were caught. Therefore, my brother might still be in danger."

"I'll protect him."

"I'm glad to know you will carry your responsibility as you should. However, don't you think you're plain arrogant. You saved his life before, how sure are you you'll be successful again?"

Stan felt dumbfounded by Mijin's remarks. She was right though. He had acted carelessLY, struck by John Wayne syndrome to have run off to save Yeon's life without backup. It was lucky Yeon had been his fated, and with a strong enough scent to choke anyone out that time. Even so, if something were to happen again, what's the guarantee that he was going to be successful again? Yeon was still a target if his scent was still as strong as Mijin said, however, he'd hoped it would subside within a few days post marking him...heck! His eyes just transitioned in front of him.

Was Yeon actually okay or had he taken too long to mark him thereby creating this glitch in his fated's body?

"There's always Niel's scent. After all, he protected Yeon very well before..."

"Yeon doesn't need him when he has me."

"Good. We are all leaving this place tomorrow afternoon so if you can drive separately from us and mix your scent with his for a while, we will all appreciate. My brother's body has changed and I do not wish for him to panic over this matter. No one here was going to tell you that since everyone is still happy about your markings, however, I don't care. My only concern is my brother's safety. Those people may have become free of Yeon's imprint, however, you and I both know how a lasting impression Yoen's scent leaves on people...almost as if he is constantly begging to be taken. Therefore, it is your duty to protect him and a good way would be to lend him some of your scented clothes."

Chuckling for being successful at railing Stan up. "If you like, you may wear his jacket and enjoy his scent too. He is your fated after all isnt he?"

Stan stood rooted on the spot as he proccessed his discussion with Mijin. he knew she was right. No one had said anything and Elric wouldnt since he had alays loved yeon's scent. Stan frowned at the idea of his fated's scent beign tempting to everyone. He didnt like it one bit.

No matter. Eventhough he hated it, he had to admit that Mijin's solution was effective.

"There is no way in hell I'll allow Yeon to put on anyone else's clothes on except mine...neither would I allow another to touch his clothes. He belongs to me. Everything he has is now mine."
