Sudden Outburst

The humid summer heat was gradually starting to fade, leaving a delightful breath of wind in the cool evening. Yu Yan arrived home looking warm-over, parking her bike at the front porch and lazily walking into the bakery shop.

Papa Wu was presently serving coffee and exquisite fast foods to the customers, she made her way to him at the counter, finding it quite shocking to see countless customers at their shop today.

"Wow, we got customers today?" Not like they haven't had customers before but today their small shop was surprisingly crammed up, papa Wu was already filling the dishes up and glanced at his daughter with an antsy visage.

"So go freshen up and come help me." He hastily told her, snapping Yu Yan back to reality, yes she has to help him.

"Right."

She hurriedly ran up the stairs, school was quite unusual and surprisingly, they got lots of customers today. At least one good thing that happened in a weird way. She walked into her room to quickly freshen up.

At midnight, Yu Yan laid comfortably on her cozy soft purple bed, scrolling rapidly through her phone, she clicked into her classes group chat, Kang Joon and Ying Yue were online as well as the rest of her classmates. The chat, barrelling non stop with messages.

Class president: You guys, class was amazing today.

Foolish Kim: No it wasn't! Mr Chao decided to ruin it with a test!

Amazing Yue: Woah you guys did the test?

Pretty Mia: Of course, you're quite smart so I'll only tell blockhead Kang Joon to read harder cause no redoes.

Famous Xia: Yu Yan, where did you meet those captivating new students today?"

Trouble maker Jin: Why ask her? She's not someone important.

Yu Yan: Oh shut up!

...…. As long as Yu Yan was the topic, there would definitely be arguments if the chat went on like that. Everyone at class was notably eminent to each other, thanks to the class president who, as always, thoughtfully decided to make a group chat for just their class. Yu Yan couldn't help but think even when she tried not to, the new grumpy Idol is currently her deskmate, likewise her new classmate so he has to be part of the group chat as per the rules.

What if someone has important information and needs to give the class feedback on it, he'll need to know right?

She added him right after she convinced herself.

Yi Fan relaxed comfortably on the chaise lounge, close to his wide glass window up front, Inattentively going through his phone. A habit he had gotten so used to whenever he felt preoccupied with his thoughts and attempts to distract himself.

A sudden ping on his phone caught his attention, no one messages him except for serious issues and even if his men had something to talk about, they'd send it via email. He raised a brow in utter confusion and clicked on it, inconspicuously going through it he discovered it's a group chat of his classmates, he could see exactly who added him at the top and a slight frown crossed his face.

He didn't chat over there but privately messaged her.

~

Yu Yan, who was having so much fun slandering her classmates, suddenly received a private message and her heart jumped when she saw who messaged her. She rubbed her eyes countless times with the back of her palm but no, it wasn't an illusion.

He actually messaged her.

Nervously clicking into his message, she took a deep breath before reading.

♡: Adding me to a nonsensical group isn't needed!

Even his chat had the same overbearing aura as him. She frowned at his message, what a way to actually start a conversation. The group isn't nonsensical but clearly he is.

~

Yi Fan never thought she'd reply black but the ping sound made him glance at his phone.

Dummy Yu Yan: If you don't appreciate my help then you can as well leave my class, my seat and my school!

He pursed his lips at her response and replied immediately.

♡: Don't think too highly of yourself, I'm not going anywhere.

Dummy Yu Yan:Oh so you're like a monitoring spirit?

♡: Childish thoughts.

Dummy Yu Yan: You're childish, your whole family is childish!!

♡: So fast with your thumb when it comes to irrelevant talks but couldn't finish your test on time??

Seeing the message, Yu Yan's pretty face blanched like a vegetable, realizing he actually helped her during her test, gosh Yu Yan how could you forget? And you even called him a monitoring spirit.

Dummy Yu Yan: Hehe, I... didn't mean any of that, you know right?

A sudden wind blew outside, opening her windows and startling the poor Yu Yan she nearly jumped down to her feet. She gazed out through the window and heard a tiny crack outside. The wind itself carried some kind of chaotic aura, bristling along her back which made her ears tremble, she couldn't help but feel frightened a bit.

Getting up to her two feet, she slowly walked over to the window and took a sneaky peep but there was barely anyone outside, only the wind which tickled the trees, strangely hearing soft whispers like they carried secrets. The clouds above had darkened menancinly but Yu Yan only took it to be a sign of the storm coming, it's getting to rainy season anyways. The stormy wind finally stopped and she closed her window instantly, taking a deep breath to calm her racing heart.

"Stop being so scared Yu Yan, it's just a harmless wind." She consoled herself, shaking off whatever just happened and going back to her bed only to receive a painful sting at the nape of her neck.

"Ahh!" She winced at the sudden pain, wondering if she got bitten by something or not but she didn't feel anything.

"That hurt." She muttered to herself once the sting had stopped, maybe it was just a mere pain, it's not the first time she's actually felt it before.

Ignoring it, she grabbed hold of her phone again but the biting pain made her let an agonizing shriek. It's never hurt this much before, what's happening?!!

Immediately getting up from her bed, she hurried to the mirror taking a quick glance at the nape of her neck and to her own astonishment.

A sudden red mark was visible, taking the form of two dots glowing brightly at the nape of her neck, her caramel brown eyes dilated into a petrified expression, like she was staring at a ghost.

"Wha…what is this?!"

Her trembling fingers reached to touch it and the sudden sensation it sent through her body made her go weak on the knees. Her heart pounding consistently like the stomps down a misty hallway.

She didn't know what to make of the sign on her neck, after that bristling wind, this happened!

"Was I bitten or something??"

Her mind was clouded just like the morning clouds on the shore, but there was no blood, more like it was waiting to be pierced.

"How is this…"

Her vision was starting to turn blurry, the more she kept staring, the more hazy she became and when she couldn't take anymore of the pain, she slumped to the ground.

In the cold dark street, a thundering sound resounded across the quiet city, the blistering winds causing the tree's to swirl fiercely with their sword-like branches, animals seeking shelter under the trees. It would be a terrifying experience for anyone outside.

Yi Fan stood at the edge of the wide glass window, gazing calmly at the fierce wind outside. His hands were casually resting in both pocket's and his lips twitched at the sudden outburst. Well this was certainly unexpected, Yu Yan didn't reply to his message once the crazy wind started and he doubts she actually went to sleep.

Suddenly thinking about it, does it have anything to do with Yu Yan?
