The evening breeze blew the trees on the streets and rustled some leaves around the sidewalk.

"Hey! Let's go to the arcade today. It'll be awes–" Yan Yu spotted a nice arcade close by and got excited.

" Not going anywhere." Bai Chen silenced him.

" Aw come on! It's gonna be awesome cos the latest version of Call of duty[1] is already out! Just for thirty minutes please."

Bai Chen simply couldn't fathom why guys of this era loved such games totally forgetting that he was a guy too.

" But Shao Ran loves this kinda stuff!" Yan Yu decided to go all out.

" So...?" Bai Chen was clueless.

" You have to like it too! She's your sweetheart dang it!" Yan Yu shouted and Bai Chen choked.

"What? sweetheart? I thought of her as a little sister not some romantic interest." Bai Chen deadpanned him. Where did he get such crazy ideas from?!

" But the way she looks at you" Yan Yu pretended to be fan dazed," it so sweet I should ship you both."

He sighed again and helped Yan Yu set his head straight by simply–

*Kpai!

" Aiyo! What was that for?!" Yan Yu held his head again. He whimpered lightly.

" I'm not interested in romance remember bro... I'm a geek who has nothing to loose." He lectured and walked into the arcade.

" A heartless best friend who doesn't care about me and is selfish." Yan Yu mumbled.

" What was that?"

" Oh nothing! let's go!"

The place was a ciber cafe where people come to play games online and pass messages. Yan Yu quickly slapped a few yuan to the owner of the cafe and Bai Chen added some too.

" Let's play Call of duty or Free fire[2]...which one do you pick?" Yu Yan asked as he sat in front of the computer system to log into the games.

"Alright... I'll just pick the Journey of a thousand swords." Bai Chen hooked up a chair and sat casually on it, facing the other computer in front of him.

About a few minutes later,they started playing the game. As Bai Chen logged in, the display on the screen said: New player Code, is online!!!

Few more minutes later.

" Argh dang it!!..Bro Chen you keep killing my poor player...how could you do this to me?! And why is your style as 60% heartless as the legendary Jinx?!"Yu Yan yelled really frustrated.

This was the twenty second time his Avatar had been massacred by Code's blue flamed sickle. His Avatarwent by the code name Jury Hunt.

Bai Chen just ignored him and continued to play the game. But if one looked closely,he was doing two tasks on one screen. He was decoding and hacking into a surveillance camera in one box while playing the game on the other box.

One thing about this computer was that, what you are playing will be shown on the big TVs on the wall of the ciber cafe for people to view. But strangely enough, The game Bai Chen and Yan Yu were on the TVs screen only.

The cafe owner decided to go over to their place to observe them play games. He was also a fan and an expert in playing this sort of game. When he got closer to Bai Chen's computer, Bai Chen noticed his presence and quickly used his keyboards to change the other box that was on the screen, leaving the game on display.

Bai Chen actual Avatar's codename was Jinx. The meaning was definitely what fit his capabilities in the game. Not only does he frustrates other opponents,he also instills fear and confusion between players online. His strategies were ruthless and brain cracking.

He was greatly revered in the game. A lot of people playing this game had debated whether Jinx was a boy or girl because no one knew his gender and origin. Even Yan Yu knows not that Jinx was none other than Bai Chen, who was mercilessly killing his Avatar.

" Argh!! come on! it was a good thing that we didn't set any bet between us or else you'd have robbed he high dry!"

" Tsk! Says the weakling who has a Six yuans in his back pocket as his allowance and had to get bullied for gambling."

Yan You: "..." I can't guarantee that I will not kill you.

Bai Chen chuckled lightly and shook his head continuing his match. Yan Yu shielded his eyes as his heart sped up and a faint blush appeared on his face.

D*mn! Way too good looking!

Some people were stealing glances at him. Good thing that they weren't ladies around cos they'd have unecessary attention all throughout the game.
