3. You told mom?!

'Is he already…?'

Iris could recognize the symptoms of a sensory overload in a god. It had been more than a millennium since she started working for Aphrodite, after all. She had met plenty of gods, and she was one herself.

The problem was recognizing those signs in a young deity of passion who was going through an awakening of their element.

"Just why did her majesty go to the Second Heaven at this moment?!"

The current Eros was very sensitive to all the emotions of the humans around him, hence why she wanted to keep him on lockdown before he started showing extremely high activity levels. She wouldn't be able to keep an eye on him without her majesty around.

However, the Eros in front of her was not only over sensitive and restless, but he was also getting overexcited.

All because of a single human.

Iris looked at Psyche, still dancing and taking off his clothes, and sighed. Out of all days, he decided to come to a party with strippers. Not to mention, the human in question was captivating.

If Aphrodite saw him, she might demand a full investigation of his familiar tree and background from this point to the very first ancestor to see if she might have given a blessing to his family.

'I need to separate them.'

The conclusion was obvious, but Eros was intoxicated by the emotions around him and most likely to get angry if she tried to suggest leaving. If things took the wrong turn, this place would break a record for the biggest orgy in history. Or for the one with the most deceased.

She couldn't allow a deity to be sulking in the human world.

'Sigh. Just… how am I supposed to take him back?'

-BuzzBuzz

Iris took his eyes away from Psyche for a second and checked her phone. It was a message from Aphrodite.

>Eros isn't answering my calls. Where is he?<

Iris glanced in Eros' direction once again. His shirt was unbuttoned and a little sweaty, his pupils dilated.

It was dangerous for him to remain in the human world. She could feel the people around him getting a little too excited already.

Besides, Eros' eyes were looking at the stripper, but his hands…

Ahem.

"I'm sorry your majesty, Eros escaped to a party in the middle of an awakening crisis and he's having a kick out of it."

'Just how am I supposed to say that?'

-Buzz.

>Send me the address. I'm going there.<

'Oh, shit.'

>Meet you there. Both of you.<

"Oh, shit!"

Iris ran across the room in the split of a second. She grabbed Eros hand's before it kept wandering off around his jeans. As if caught off by the action, Eros opened his eyes wide with a surprised expression.

"H-Hey! Wait- What are you doing here?"

Iris narrowed her eyes and tightened her grip around Eros's wrist.

"What were you doing?"

Realizing what Iris was thinking, Eros blushed furiously and looked away.

For a moment, his mind had been too focused on Psyche to worry about his surroundings. He had done far worse things throughout his life, but it was embarrassing to know Iris almost witnessed one of them. Especially when they had fought about his state that same morning.

"I- I asked first! What are you doing here?"

"What do you think?"

Iris signaled to the front door of the mansion. He saw at least a dozen people dressed up in black and blue suits waiting outside, clearly from his mother's side. Unlike Demetriou's guards, they weren't human.

"I don't need a babysitter!"

Eros snorted and yanked his hand out of Iris' grip. He took a glass of champagne and began walking somewhere else.

"Her majesty is already on her way to the Third Heaven!" Iris shouted.

Eros turned around abruptly with an expression of disbelief and betrayal.

"You told mom?!"

"I had to!"

"Shit!"

"Language!"

"I'm not a kid!"

"You're barely an adult!"

Eros stomped his foot on the floor, only as a way to let out a little bit of his annoyance. He knew Iris was right.

'Dang, I wanted to talk to him.'

Earlier, he had felt something when he directed his eyes to the center of the ballroom.

He knew that that man was dancing for him. Eros couldn't know why, but he didn't mind giving the stranger a moment to talk before leaving the human realm for at least a hundred years.

'Maybe I could ask for his number~'

Eros froze.

Psyche was seated pitifully on the floor, surrounded by Demetriou's security guards. The bondage set was abruptly removed by one of them, and Psyche's delicate skin was exposed for everyone to see.

Eros was too far to understand what they were screaming at each other but he saw the way tears flooded Psyche's eyes the moment a man grabbed his hair and pulled it.

"Eros?"

He brushed aside Iris' worried look. His mind was currently examining Psyche's feelings. He shot down everyone else's emotions and a drop of sweat traveled down his neck.

He searched deep between the desperation and ambition he felt earlier. It wasn't that hard to find the fear and worry inside the young man. Eros realized those feelings were engraved into his soul.

Maybe it was because of the oversensitivity, but he could almost tell what he was thinking. The way he could easily read Psyche's thoughts on his face gave him goosebumps. It was something that he had never experienced.

'Let me go!'

'Don't touch me!'

'They're going to lock me again, aren't they?'

'Someone… Please help me!'

As if he could feel Eros's presence in his mind, Psyche looked directly at him. His face filled with urgency.

"Eros?! Don't!" Iris shouted in vain.

All eyes were on him, she even heard a few gasps among the crowd. In the split of a second, he had approached Psyche.

Eros put a black jacket on Psyche's shoulders and stood in front of him, shielding him from the guards. He grabbed the hand of the man who pulled Psyche's hair.

-Whistle.

"Well, well~," Eros said to the guards, "mind if I step in~?"
