--------- Subang's POV -------------
After eating for a bit and then continued working. Subang felt that his life is rather meaningless but doesn't have any shape or form to have the goal to do anything at the moment. He is being smart about it, that's why he doesn't let his emotions get the better of him when an opportunity arises. He wants to make sure that it won't become a hindrance or it would fail.
Amaya: Subang, have you finished your quota for the night? the War Lord would definitely give us an earful if it isn't finished.
Amaya is a War Lord assistant, meaning she's an Adlao but she treats Subang like any other person. She views him as an equal even if the social norms tend to think so otherwise.
Subang: Yes, I have finished it for a bit. Though at the moment the quotas are complete but there is still a problem that seems to have presented from the other sector of the road mines.
Amaya: Really? Well if that's the case, let's go right away. I don't want to report this to the War Lord and get an earful about the job I'm doing.
Subang: Heh, alright let's go then. But before we go, maybe we should try to be cautious. It might get dangerous so I guess we have weapons just in case. Don't worry, I'm not gonna resist or betray you. I don't have that desire to do so. I just wanna protect myself and that includes you too Miss Amaya.
Amaya giggled and smiled, she finds Subang to be a really charismatic man. Too bad he was born as a Bulan. Amaya would have definitely loved being with him. How destiny seems to be cruel to not let her have such happiness. Whatever, Amaya then gave Subang an ordinary sword. A blade used for regular soldiers.
Subang held it in his hand and it glowed with perfectly white blue energy being coated around the steel blade. Amaya was surprised, it seems like Subang is a gifted warrior. He could definitely become strong in the future which makes Amaya feel a little unease since it might back fire eventually at some point in time if Subang decided to rebel against the mine and free all the other Uripon's to his side.
After some time, they arrived at the mines where there is a blockage from the road.
Amaya: So this is the problem that presents itself. Subang, why don't you slash the boulder rocks and then I'll light you so we can explore the cave and see if there is any worth mining inside?
Subang : Sure, but let's be careful. We don't know what awaits from the other side.
Amaya nodded and followed Subang after smashing the rocks that was blocking the road mines. A burst of moon light energy came from down and it obliterated the mines indefinitely. Amaya was amazed on how strong Subang is, he wondered why he was so strong.
Amaya: You seem have such strength, where did you learn to wield a power like that?
Subang: It was passed down from my parents before they died. Even though they taught me how the arts of the Warrior's Moon Light. I never intended to use it to rebel because if I do - It's not just me who's gonna suffer but everyone around me. I have to think of the consequences of my actions.
Amaya: You seem smarter than I thought; well it isn't really a surprise considering I've been with you for a couple of months, monitoring your behavior.
Subang: You don't seem scared, and you seem different from the other Adlao's too. You don't discriminate nor do you feel superior to us in any way. You talk to me like we are friends and not enemies. It's more surprising to me to meet such a person like you.
Amaya: Why should I treat you differently? Just because you were born in a different place? or a different family and kingdom? I don't really care about such a thing. I was here because my father appointed me to become an assistant War Lord to get experience since I'm already an adult. It's a silly request but I have to do it as per tradition.
Subang: So are you born in a high status from a noble family or something? You seem like it, since your appearance is so beauty and otherworldly.
Amaya blushed from Subang's compliment and the way he talks about her made her a little flustered. What a charming man he was, that's what Amaya thought to herself whenever Subang talks to her.
Amaya: My my ~ what a smooth talker you are. Your silver tongue would definitely be useful for you in the future. It's one of your valuable asset. Don't misuse it though, I don't want anything happening to one of my favorite people.
Subang laughed a bit while walking down the dark cave while Amaya lit up her energy of the sun to make sure that they wouldn't be lose upon the dark.
Subang: I won't, I'm not planning to die just yet so you can count on me on that.
After walking for several minutes, they soon found out that there was a statue that seems to resemble a moon light warrior holding a legendary sword.
Subang: Huh. . . . It's a statue, or more like an ancient artifact. What's it doing here?
Amaya: I don't know but it seems to be full of mysteries. I don't know what this means but it seems to be calling you Subang. Thought I would have assumed since the moon light energy is resonating towards you.
Subang walked towards the statue and touched it. It gave Subang it's will and memories of the past. As Subang inherited his entire life story. Subang then cried and a tear from his right eye began flowing with sadness. As he looked at Amaya with a disheartening expression.
Amaya: What's wrong Subang? What did it show you?
Subang: A memory of the past, and also it's will. I can't seem to stop crying because deep down in my heart. I don't have the strength to fulfill it's request. That's why I am really sorry. I felt the need to apologize to this person who I absorbed.
Amaya: Whatever it's will is, it is your decision to make. I won't despise you no matter what since I know deep down. You are a kind person Subang.
Subang: Thank you Miss Amaya.
