After being admitted to the hospital, the doctors and nurses took very good care of Shu Pan.
Since she had just been hospitalized, she needed to have a series of checks and tests done.
That evening, as Shu Pan noticed the sky outside growing dark, she reminded Gu Shaoting to go home since there were still two children there.
But Gu Shaoting refused, his mind was hardly at home; he wanted to be by Shu Pan's side every minute.
"Don't worry about that, I've already spoken to mom, and she will take care of the children tonight. She wanted to come over, but I said no, it's late. She can come during the day," Gu Shaoting said indifferently.
"Why tell mom? She will be very worried," Shu Pan furrowed her brow.
"She would have found out eventually. I told her you're feeling a bit unwell and needed a check-up," Gu Shaoting replied truthfully.
Shu Pan nodded; her mother-in-law had always been a free spirit, and she truly didn't want to cause her any worry.
