Let's be sad together.

The school ended, the bustling of students walked out of the school with loud noises.

Amid them, Raina, followed by Haydar, went to the security post. Ben seems to be patrolling, so there was only Grandpa Budi, sitting on the stool reading a newspaper as always.

"Gramps!" Raina greeted after reaching the security post.

Grandpa Budi looked up and found she was being followed by the profuse new student from the previous day.

Haydar found the old man observing him, he could only nod politely to him.

Grandpa Budi nodded back, folded the newspaper, and stood up, "It's rare to see you with a friend."

"Is it?" Raina peered at the guys beside him and groaned, "Maybe this guy is the only brainless student who's willing to stand near me."

Haydar grinned, nudged her backpack, and unhurriedly said, "That's alright, my fairy. It's just the world of two."

Raina scowled at him and slapped his bandaged arm, "Who wants to be with you!"

"Ouch! Ouch... Devil Girl, do you want me to lose my arm? How ruthless..." He hissed in pain and looked at the girl with puppy eyes.

She folded her arms and raised her chin in amazement, yet her tone was a bit sharp, "Oh~ You can still complaint~ Why won't you complain after the full of enthusiasm of throwing a tissue ball previously??"

"Hm? When? Why don't I remember it? That's weird!" Haydar tilted his head with an innocent face.

"Hohoho~ young people nowadays..." Grandpa Budi shook his head watching their interesting interaction. He then thought of something, "When I was on my way to the school this morning, your restaurant's door seems open. Is it going to re-open again soon?"

"Yes. Gramps, I'll inform you later the exact day of re-opening."

Grandpa Budi naturally nodded, "Alright, I'll definitely come."

Raina wrinkled her nose, thinking what her mom said last night when she wanted to help her list the need for the restaurant after she send Haydar home.

Her mom wished to do all the things herself and didn't want to bother her. However, she disagreed with her decision, especially when there might no people willing to work on their restaurant after knowing the rumor.

Whereas the restaurant won't be crowded when re-opening, how could she let her mom manage all the work by herself? It's necessary to recruit one or two people to help the restaurant, shouldn't rely on the fact her brother would be out soon and be able to help.

Nevertheless, considering her mom's stubbornness, she must seek the people by herself so the moment her mom face the people she bring were ready for work, she could simply recruit them.

But who??

Raina took a deep breath then shifted her eyes to the guy beside him, "Hey, you ride the bike."

Haydar widened his eyes, he was taken back. He pointed at himself then at his bandaged arm, with a hint of inquiring in his eyes.

"Yes, you! You can do it, can you?" Her eyes wandered on his arms and said it purposefully, referring to his innocent act beforehand.

While Haydar showed a look of begging for mercy, Grandpa Budi chuckled, "Don't be too harsh on him, isn't he injured? He even gets bandaged, looks very bad."

"It's his own fault anyway, making people misunderstand his act." Raina huffed then proceed to take out her bike.

Haydar helplessly sighed, "It's not just me, alright? Devil, you're also getting involved!"

Raina was too lazy to respond, she just simply get on her bike and stepped on her pedal. Watching this, Haydar quickly sat backward behind her, "Oh, let's go, my fairy. You're so kind to your wounded guardian."

"Yes, wounded in a shameful way!-- Gramps, we'll go!"

Grandpa Budi only waved his hand then continue reading the newspaper.

It's evening already, and the sunlight wasn't as hot as it was in the daylight. With a stable speed, the bike rode smoothly through the road, getting passed by vehicles.

"About your restaurant… will you help there?" Haydar questioned with a relaxed tone.

"Of course! What's wrong?" Raina wondered why he asked all of sudden.

Haydar turned his head to glance at her small back before continuing, "There should be recruitment, right? I have a special recommendation just for you."

Raina was astonished at his rare thoughtfulness, "Oh~ Who is it? I'll accept them if they're good."

"Don't worry, it's really good, I guarantee!" Haydar smirked playfully.

Hearing this, Raina began to feel suspicious. However, her curiosity couldn't stay still, "Who? Just say it, ah!"

Haydar chuckled at her impatient voice, "Of course, it's me, my fairy! Who else sending a special rec just for you except your guardian?"

Raina was shocked and upset after discovering the answer. She said in disbelief, "You're always glued next to me in school yet you still want to when I'm working?! What are you? A sticker?!"

"As your guardian, why should I leave your side when I can still be by your side."

Haydar smiled softly. Well, he simply wanted to keep on seeing her for a long time.

"...Aren't you too much?"

Raina could only sigh powerlessly yet not reject it directly. Although he was a bit annoying, she still take him into account for working in their restaurant. Anyhow, when working he won't always stick next to her.

She pondered a moment before snorting, "Fine, I'll reluctantly accept you."

Haydar, who already guess her answer, brighten his smile, "Great! My fairy is the best!"

"Ugh, stop calling me that! I feel sick hearing it from you every time!"

"No way~"

"Ugh!"

Unknowingly, a week had passed and finally, tomorrow was the time for the re-opening restaurant. In those days, Haydar's arms were completely healed and decided to assist the mother and daughter in preparing their restaurant.

After school, both Haydar and Raina were ordered by Mrs. Wiyata to check the restaurant one last time.

"Everything is perfectly ready. Aunt Wiyata is too anxious." Said Haydar as he walked out of the kitchen.

Raina simply answered, "Well, it's been a long time since she open the restaurant. She's just nervous."

Haydar stood in place as he eyed her then chuckled helplessly, "It's not only her," he then walked behind her and grabbed her wrist to take the rag on her hand, "Same goes to you. If you keep on rubbing on the same spot, a hole will appear on the window later."

Being reminded by him only did Raina realize she had cleaned the window for dozen times and her arm was sore. Thus, she let her take away the rag and she began to massage her sore arm.

Putting away the rag, Haydar continued, "Let's go out to refresh yourself. So you won't be so nervous or you can't sleep after going home later."

Raina agreed to his suggestion and locked the restaurant before going. The restaurant was closed to their neighborhood therefore both of them just walk, not riding a bike.

The evening was the time people get off of work, however, it was also the time some people went to work, as night street vendors. The street vendors spread along the road and were mostly crowded by people.

Haydar was aware that the current air was a bit cold, so he took Raina to buy warm ginger tea from the street vendor. Raina sat on the stool as she wait for him to order.

She dazedly watched the vehicles passing by on the road, thinking that it had been a long time since she was out and relaxed like this. For the past two years, she could only see the evening scene like this only when she was on the way to a part-time job. After finishing her shift, a night had already come.

Sometimes she would envious of the girls of her age hanging out with her friends. At her situation at that time, she had lost hope in that life, where she could have fun free without burden at all. Only guessed that her teenage life would pass by working for paying debt and doubting whether she could enter a university or not.

Thankfully, God said otherwise. The debt she thought would take a long time to pay unexpectedly had been fully paid. Her brother could come out sooner than she had expected it. Her mother was finally could fill her wish to re-open the restaurant. And she herself…

Raina observed the evening scene she rarely see and finally set her sight on the person standing waiting for their order. This guy seems to be aware of her gaze, and she saw him raise his eyebrows at her.

"It's cold, right? Wait for the warm drink. It'll be comfortable later. After that, we can go home. I'll send you back, okay?"

This guy, despite loving to annoy her, most of the time was sensible just like this time. Thus, she didn't want to argue with him and simply answered softly, "Okay."

However, this guy was so uncooperative. He didn't perceive her means at all and even bent his body in front of her, began to his usual teasing, "What's this? Why are you so behaving all of sudden?"

Raina felt her calm mood was ruined. She indifferently glanced at him and pushed his face away. Just in time, their order was ready, so she commanded him, "Hurry up and take that!"

"Alright, boss."

Haydar grinned and went to take their two big cups of ginger tea before walking back to her. He sat on the stool right next to her and give one cup to him, "It's warm. Drink it slowly."

Raina only hummed and hold the big cup with both hands. Haydar observed her take a few sips as she watched the road before lowering his head to took a sip himself.

He didn't like her melancholic looks when she was dazed just now, his heartfelt bitter. It was better seeing her scowling and scolding him rather than being sorrowful all alone. If he saw her sad, he really wanted to hug her in his arms and comfort her.

….

Time passed and the sun had closed its eyes.

"It's soo late! Your grandma won't slap you again this time?"

Raina stood in front of the fence of her house, looking up at the guy in the front.

Haydar shook his head, "She won't. I already told her that I'm helping you and your mom."

"Then you should go home now or she would be worried!" Raina said while shooing him with her hands.

Haydar sighed and folded his arms, "As your guardian, I'll go after I don't see your figure in my sight anymore."

"Ugh, fine! I'll go in first!" Raina strode toward the door and enter it.

As she was about to close the door, she pop out her head and mouthed to the guy who was still standing waiting for her, "Go."

Haydar chuckled at this and nodded casually. After seeing the door closed, he started to walk home.

Raina peeked through the window and felt at ease after finding that the guy had walked away. She then moved to take off her shoes.

"Mom! I'm home!"

"Oh, you're back!"
