Chapter 95

The two women made their way the dining room. Jaysa entered the room and saw a familiar face. Madison was already in her seat along with Martin and her husband. There was an empty seat next to her husband. That was where she sat. It was her assigned seat when she ate with her husband. Another maid was walking around pouring sweet liquor into everyone's drinks except Madison's. Jaysa spoke up.

"Would it be okay if I get water instead?"

"Are you not feeling well?" Her husband asked her. Jaysa shook her head.

"I feel fine, I just want to drink water. Nothing to worry about." Jaysa spoke back. A maid left with the liquor cup and came back with a water cup.

"You've been asking for water for the past several weeks. Does the liquor not please you?" Danzel questioned. Jaysa smiled and spoke.

"My dear husband. Don't worry the liquor is fine. I just want something else. That is all."

"Are you sure?" Danzel questioned again.

"Please." Jaysa spoke a bit louder. Then in a quieter voice she spoke. "I'm fine." Danzel stayed quiet. Jaysa was relieved that he did not push the subject anymore. The maids soon brought in the meals for everyone to eat at the table. They all ate in silent. Jaysa was eating a bit more.

"My dear." Danzel spoke out. "You are eating too much bread." Jaysa glared at her husband.

"I'm hungry." She spoke.

"But you ate bread several times during the day, not including all the fruits and vegetables you were snacking as well." Danzel spoke with worry.

"So," Jaysa spoke. "I said I'm hungry." She shoved another piece of bread in her mouth.

"If you keep eating you will get fat!" He yelled. Jaysa stopped eating and looked at her husband.

"Did you really just say that?" She growled. Danzel stood up and spoke.

"I will not have a fat wife!"

"Fine then!" Jaysa yelled. "I'll quit eating." The main maid had watched this entire scene that was played out in front of her. She looked at both of them wondering what was about to happen. Before the older maid could put in her two cents on the situation, she felt a brush of wind pass her. That was when she noticed it was one of the young maid that help out in the kitchen.

"Your Sire!" She yelled out. "You can't let her stop eating."

"Why? She is my wife. I don't a fat wife!" Danzel yelled.

"But Sire, you can't let her stop eating." The maid continued.

"Stop!" Jaysa hissed.

"I will make her stop eating." Danzel continued.

"No, Sire. Please" The maid begged.

"Stop!" Jaysa spoke again. No one was listening to her.

"Tell me one reason why I should allow her to keep going the way she is?" Danzel yelled out.

"Don't do it!" Jaysa growled. The maid looked between Jaysa and Danzel.

"Tell me!" Danzel yelled.

"Don't do it." Jaysa hissed.

"I'm your King. You have to obey me!"

"I'm telling you. Don't say a word."

"Tell me now!" Danzel yelled.

"Don't." Jaysa yelled back. The maid had both yelling and hissing at her that her mind began to fill up and explode.

"She's pregnant!" The maid yelled out.

"You…" Jaysa growled.

"Wait!" Danzel yelled out. He turned to look at his wife. "You're pregnant?" Jaysa did not say a word. "Is that why you have been getting sick the last couple of months and been eating more than usual?" Jaysa remained stayed quiet. His wife was not about to tell him anything. So he looked at the maid and spoke. "Did you know about this?" The young maid nodded. "And you did not tell me, your King?" Danzel spoke in a growl.

"Sorry Sire. My lady said not to tell you." The young girl spoke. Danzel turned to look at Jaysa.

"Is there a reason you did not want to tell me?" Jaysa stayed quiet. Danzel's eyebrows wrinkled in anger and he grabbed Jaysa's arm. He forced her to look at him by grabbing her chin. "Why the fuck would you hide something like this from me? What are you hiding?" He yelled. "Is the baby not mine?" He questioned.

"No!" Jaysa yelled.

"No what?" Are you saying it's not mine?" Danzel hissed.

"No, I'm saying it's yours. You're the only one that I've ever had sex with. Of course it's yours." She yelled back.

"Then why hide it?" Danzel asked his voice a bit calmer.

"I didn't know if you would be happy about it or not." She spoke. A smile spread across Danzel's face. He let go of Jaysa's arm and brought her into a big hug.

"Of course I would be happy. We are having a baby!" Danzel was overjoyed with the news. Madison acted as if it was the first time she heard of it not to raise any suspicion of Danzel being the only one out of the loop. So she congrats her several times as well. The older maid noticed that Jaysa was not ecstatic as her husband was about having his child. If the young Queen needed anything or someone to speak to, the young Queen knew she was always welcome to the kitchen to talk.

Danzel allowed Jaysa to eat whatever she needed. He kept talking about how the baby should grow healthy in her stomach. So when she gives birth, they would have a healthy child. Jaysa smiled as Danzel spoke with joy about what he would teach the youngsters. Jaysa just listened.

Once Jaysa was done eating, Danzel excused themselves out of the room leaving Martin by himself. He poured the last of the liquor in his glass and gulped it down. He slammed the glass onto the table and cursed.

"Fuck!" He yelled. "She's pregnant! How could I not see that?" He yelled out loud. "Agg" He took the glass and threw it across the room. It hit the brick wall and shattered into several pieces. "If she has that baby then I could have another obstacle in my way. I'm not going to wait another eighteen years before I can become King. It's bad enough that I had to wait this long already. I lost the chance to become the King, but if they have the child than the crown could be inaccessible to me." Martin sat down in his chair. "There has to be a way. There has to be."
