Two months have passed and the Kingdom was showing signs of improvement. There were more shops put up and better trades being made. Danzel was pleased with how everything turned out. He looked over at his wife who was speaking to one of the maids about what she wanted to eat for a snack. Even though they have been fighting since the beginning of their relationship, he believed that things were getting better between them each day. He smiled when his wife turned around to face her husband. He looked down at his wife's stomach that was now big and round. There was no way now that she did not look like she held a child in her stomach, and Danzel would talk in praise about the unborn. Danzel had been counting the days to when Jaysa would give birth. The child was the only thing missing in their life. The maid had left to get Jaysa whatever she asked for, and Jaysa made her way towards her husband. He gave her a small kiss on the lips. He stared into her eyes for a moment before reaching down and rubbing her stomach.
"You've been doing that a lot lately." Jaysa spoke.
"That's because this is our first child. I can't wait till their born." Jaysa smiled at her husband. Jaysa's emotions were still out of whack, but Danzel put up with it and the two had come closer. Jaysa was starting to believe that this life with that man wouldn't be as bad as she thought it would be. She watched as her husband rubbed her stomach with a gentle smile on his face.
"Jaysa!" A young voice was heard. Jaysa turned to see Madison running over to her.
"What is it my dear?" Jaysa asked. Danzel stopped what he was doing and looked over at the girl.
"Are we still going to the market?" Madison questioned.
"Yeah! Let me get my food really quick and we will head ou-,"
"Why are you going to the market?" Danzel questioned.
"Jaysa wants to find some more fabrics to make some clothes for the baby." Madison spoke. Danzel glared at Madison who lowered her head.
"You call her majesty or Queen. Don't call her by her name." Danzel growled.
"It's fine. I told her that it was okay." Jaysa spoke back. Danzel turned to look at Jaysa.
"I don't care what you have allowed her to call you, and also, what is this about going to the market in town?"
"I want to make some clothes." Jaysa spoke.
"Why? We will get plenty of clothes as gifts when the baby is born." Danzel spoke out.
"I know that, but I want to make something special." Jaysa started.
"I don't want you going out, especially now. What if something happens to you?" Danzel questioned.
"Nothing will happen." Jaysa spoke.
"You don't know that. I don't want anything to happen to you or the baby. We can send out a maid to pick up the fabrics. I want you to stay here." Danzel spoke out.
"But-,"
"No buts. Stay here." Danzel spoke again. Jaysa just glared at her husband. She didn't want to listen to what he had to say. She was going to go no matter what her husband said.
Jaysa was out in the market area walking around with Madison. She had changed clothes before she left. Jaysa wore her light blue dress that was a plain outfit with nothing dazzling on it. The dress out retouched by Jaysa herself, so it would fit around her stomach. She looked more like a noble than a Queen, and she liked it that way. The two had snuck out without the King knowing. Jaysa wanted to get the fabrics for her child and not a maid. Her husband did not want to listen to her so she decided to leave anyway. She was lucky that Danzel didn't tell any of the guards that she was unable to leave the Castle. Jaysa was able to leave without being stopped. She was quite surprised.
The girl' were bouncing from one booth to another trying to find the perfect fabric. Since they did not know what sex the baby was, Jaysa was trying to be as careful as possible to find the right color for the child. They have been shopping for a while and had not found what Jaysa was looking for. They were able to find some fabrics that Madison really liked, and Jaysa bought for her. The young teen was already talking about what she was planning on doing with the new material she had received. "I really want to make a dress out of this!" Madison said with a smile. "Is there a way that you can teach me how to make a dress with frills on it?" Madison questioned.
"That is no problem. Those are actually the easiest things to do." Jaysa spoke out.
"Oh really. I can't wait." Madison spoke as she hugged the material against her chest. Jaysa smiled. She knew how excited Madison was to make some more difficult outfits. It was always fun to try something that you have never tried before. And when the finished product comes out, you are always excited about your work. Even though Danzel told Jaysa not to go out to the market, she believed that he would also appreciate the work that she put into on finding the right fabrics and make the best outfit for their little one.
"Oh wow, Jaysa, look at this." Jaysa looked over and spotted some material that Jaysa was pointing at. It was a mixture print. It had baby blue and light pinkish red mixed together. The colors went together almost perfectly. That was what Jaysa was looking for. It can work for a male or a female. Jaysa walked over to the booth and requested for the material.
"Oh, your majesty. I'm glad that you chose my stand to buy the fabric. But are you sure that is what you want?" The villager asked. She was in her late sixties and was bent over a bit with her smile on her wrinkled face.
"Yes, I would like this one please." Jaysa spoke as she reached for her bag of money that she kept in a small pinkish handmade purse.
"My Queen. Would you like a discount?" The old lady asked.
"No, I wish to pay what you would charge anyone." Jaysa spoke. The woman gave the price and Jaysa handed the money over. "Keep the change."
"Oh, thank you my Queen." The old lady spoke. Jaysa gave a small smile and turned her heels away from the stall.
"So is that what you are planning on getting?" Madison asked. Jaysa smiled.
"This is perfect." She responded. "I believe it's time to return to the castle. If we don't then the King might get mad if he realizes that we are gone."
"That is so true." Madison giggled. "Let's go."
The girl's made their way back the castle. They were talking and laughing, just having a great time. A scream and crashing sounds were suddenly heard by Jaysa. The sounds that were heard were just ahead of them.
"What is that?" Madison asked.
"I don't know." Jaysa spoke. Before they knew what hit them. Jaysa was pushed onto the ground. A man faced Jaysa and Madison before running off into the crowd. Some of the villagers noticed the Queen on the ground and Madison asking if she was okay. Two guards rushed after the man not realizing that Jaysa was on the ground.
"Yeah, I'm fine. But what happened?" Jaysa asked. A gentle man rushed over to Jaysa and presented his hand to help her up. Jaysa took the man's hand and tried her best to get onto her feet.
