Chapter 107

Later that day, Jaysa was told that they were planning on having another open policy. She wanted to join them. The maids first tried to talk her out of it, along with her husband because she hadn't been feeling well. Jaysa ignored both of their requests and stated that she was fine and wanted to be there. So now she sat on the throne as many villagers started to crowd the once huge room. It has been a while since they last had the open policy so she wanted to be there no matter what. There were several requests one getting more merchants to enter the Kingdom to make trade. Some have even asked about expanding their lands to get more space to grow their crops. Since her husband lowed the taxes on the people to a reasonable amount. The Kingdom had started to furbish again, just like it did back when his father was around. What she like the most was being able to watch her husband help her people. She knew that deep down that they appreciated her for helping them out since the start. She glanced towards her husband who she could tell was intensively listening to what his people had to say.

This man is my husband. He is my life. She though. Suddenly the pain had come again. This time it was even more intense than the ones from before. She arched over in pain.

"Your Highness!" She heard several people call out to her.

"Jaysa!" Danzel reached over for Jaysa. She had politely shaken her hand away from her husband.

"I'm fine. I just need to go lay down." Jaysa said. Danzel still showed worry on his face as she slowly stood up and walked down the stairs. Faint flushed through her entire body. Jaysa fell on the floor.

"Jaysa!" Danzel yelled as he rushed to his wife's side. He turned her body over so she was facing him. "Jaysa! Jaysa!" Danzel yelled as he tapped on the girls' face. Many of the villagers tried to rush to her side, but were stopped by the guards. Joseph rushed to the King's side.

"What happened?" The priest asked. "Why did this happen?"

"I don't know." Danzel spoke in a frightened voice.

"Get her to the room. I will get the royal doctor. He will be able to see what is going on. Go now!" Danzel nodded. He picked Jaysa up. He made his way down the path the peasants had made for him and exited the room. He could hear Joseph apologizing to the people about what happened.

Danzel rushed towards the bedroom. The doctor had been ready for them. He was waiting for them outside of the room. The two men made their way inside the room and over to the bed.

"Lay her down." The man spoke. Danzel did as he was told. When he removed his arms from underneath her body, he was shocked by what he saw. Blood had stained his clothed arm. She was bleeding, and the way his clothes were stained, he could tell she was bleeding fast. "Sire, please leave and leave the rest to me."

"But-," Danzel tried to talk.

"Get out!" The man raised his voice. Joseph had made his way into the room when the doctor had told the King to leave. The priest reached for Danzel's shoulders and led him out. Danzel cried out to let him stay, but no one would listen. The door shut behind them. Danzel turned to face Joseph and yelled,

"Why did you push me out? I want to be by her side."

"Sire, calm down. Let the doctor do his job.

"But, I need to be with her." He yelled.

"Sire, you want her to be taken care of right!" Joseph spoke back. He was trying to keep his voice from getting loud or allowing anger to be heard.

"Yes but still..." Danzel began to calm down.

"I will stay with you until we find out what is going on okay." Joseph spoke in a calm voice to his King. Danzel nodded. He couldn't be in there in the doctor's way. He didn't want to distract the doctor.
