Chapter 110

Down in a dark familiar room, a light was peeking out from under the door. Grumbling could be heard in the hallway. A sudden crash echoed the silent halls.

"That bitch!" Martin yelled. He looked at his glass that once held the wine he loved all over the floor. "I thought she wanted to kill that child. I can't believe she didn't take the poison." The man kicked the table leg in front of him before falling into the chair that was behind him. He chewed on his thumb as he grumbled. "I was able to get rid of the kid that was growing in that whore's body at least. But I couldn't believe that she had stressed herself to the point of having a stiff child. And his highness is even harder to convince as well."

Two days ago, Martin was looking up at his nephew who sat on the throne and saw Joseph by his side. The time was not full of joy, but sadness. Danzel was still pained to find he lost his kin. The priest had his hand bowed in respect. Danzel's eyes were glossed over and staring at nothing. He was in complete loss of what to do.

"Sire, if I may speak." Martin spoke up. Danzel did not say a word. He just lifted his hand up giving him permission to talk. It fell down hard on the arm rest as if he had no strength to hold it up. "I do feel your pain for the loss of this child, but what are you going to do about that woman who had killed your child?" Danzel's eyes filled with anger and focused on the man in front of him. Joseph looked up to face the man as well.

"What do you mean by that?" The King growled. Martin swallowed.

Maybe this was not a good time to try this. Martin thought. However, he continued speaking. "Well, it is her fault that you no longer have a child." Danzel stood up and rushed over to the man, grabbing him by his collar.

"I will ask you again. What do you mean by that?" Danzel's voice was low. You could hear a growl come out on each word.

"I just..." He stuttered.

"Pick your words wisely." Danzel hissed. Martin looked down at his nephew and asked,

"Why are you always defending that whore when you know that it's her fault that this had happened?" Anger had filled his entire body and without warning, Danzel struck his uncle with his fist as hard as he could. Danzel let go of the man's collar after the punch went through. He watched as the man fell to the ground. His uncle wiped the side of his mouth off. He turned to face the King. "What has gotten into you?"

"Ever since I brought a wife into my life, you have been trying to convince me that she is nothing but a lying whore. However, it's in fact you that is the skiving and lying bastard." Danzel yelled his voice full of anger. His fists were shaking furiously in front of his uncle's face. Martin smirked.

"So you are calling me a skiving bastard." The man sat up with one of his knees bent up to rest his arm on it as he focused on the King. "She has you twisted around her little finger. Just like I thought" Danzel growled.

"I'm not!" Martin was about to speak when Joseph yelled out in anger at the man.

"You tried to kill the Queen." The priest ran over to where Martin was still sitting. "You gave her poison trying to kill her and the child. You told her it would only kill the child, not her." Martin chucked. He stood up to face the men on the same level.

"What is with all of these allegations? There is no proof that I have given that woman anything, especially poison. You have no proof. All we know, is that she could have gotten this 'poison' from some else. Besides, is there proof that there was any poison in this castle to even begin with.

"The Queen told us!" Joseph yelled.

"Ah, the Queen. The one that you have not been able to trust." Martin spoke out.

"I trust her." Danzel growled.

"Even though every time you turn around, she is in another rumor." He spoke as he slowly made his way over to his nephew.

"Every rumor that was placed on her was false. We revealed the lies." Danzel growled.

"But what about the child? She might not want a child with a man that forced her into having sex with him to prove her innocence." Marin stopped next to the King's ear and whispered. "You pretty much raped her against her will." Danzel's eyes went wide. "I wouldn't doubt it if she despised you for what had happened. It would make sense if she used me in her plot device to get back at you. Killing that child, hurting you, making you feel the pain she had felt for so long." Danzel didn't say a word. He had forgotten about everything that had happened when they first got together.

Could this be true? He thought to himself. He mentally shook his head. No! It's not! He yelled at himself. She said that she wanted this to work. She wanted to have his child. He told himself. He pushed it out of his mind. He turned to face his uncle. "She had forgiven me for that." Danzel said with confidence. Martin just chuckled.

"That's what they want you to think." He stepped away from his nephew. "I don't care what you plan on doing as long as you don't place the blame on me for what had happened." He spoke. "I will now take my leave." Martin bowed and made his way out of the room.

Back to the present, Martin sat on his chair rethinking about what had happened. Even if he was unable to get the King to believe him full, maybe he was still able to get under the boys' skin. He had heard that the King had been by the girl's side for days. With how unpredictable that girl is, maybe it will unravel without him actually having to get involved. He should just wait to see what will happen because he knew something big was going to start soon.
