Chapter 115

Danzel turned his head up to look at his wife that had her eyes faces away from him. "Jaysa." She didn't say anything. "I know that you are still blaming yourself, even though I told you not to, but…." Danzel stopped for a moment. "…I really want to make another child with you again." The man saw his wife's eyes widen from hearing what he said and then go back to the normal soulless eyes. "I know that this time that we would be able to make a child. I feel like our relationship has matured quite a bit. I feel that we have grown a lot closer than before." Jaysa was still quiet. "When I told you that I loved you, I meant it and I still do. I know that you have the same feeling for me, or you wouldn't be sulking like you are right now." Jaysa's eyes finally moved to look at her husband for the first time since he walked into the room.

"I do love you, but…" Jaysa's voice started to choke."

"But what?" Danzel asked.

"How can you still love me? I almost took some poison to kill our child."

"You were just confused. You already told me…" Danzel turned so he was on his knees and eye level with his wife. He grabbed her hands that were loosely holding a book, and held them in his. "You told me that you didn't take it because it was my child. So I know that no matter what happens, that this time we will be able to make a child. I also know that you will be a wonderful mother that will help me raise a refined prince or princess. I believe in you." He spoke. Jaysa tried so hard to hold back her tears. They have been through so much, yet this man still wanted her. She couldn't believe that he would still want her. Without warning, Jaysa jumped off of the cushion and into her husband's arms. She wailed in his arms. She has been holding on the pain inside her heart not allowing this man to see her weak side. Now she didn't care. He has seen so many sides of her that seeing her vulnerable side would just be another side he will also accept. She felt his arms tighten around her shaky body.

"No matter what, I will never give up hope on us. And I want you to do the same." Tears were still falling from her eyes. Danzel lift Jaysa's head up and looked into her tear filled eyes. "I never regret making you my wife. I will always love you." He whispered and gently kissed her on her lips.

Outside, a small girl smiled. That room was so quiet that she could hear everything that the two have been saying. She couldn't help but beam with joy. Those two have been in a rut since that incident and Jaysa hadn't been acting her usual self. Even though Jaysa and Danzel were not her real mother and father, she still felt like she was part of their family. When they had fights, it felt like her parents were having fights and it made her feel sad. So she would do anything in her small power to help them out and make up. Madison has thought about the future too.

Even though they may have a child of their own, she never thought that she would be abandoned by them. She actually was so excited when Jaysa was pregnant the first time. She was ready to become a big sister to the small prince or princess. So she was also extremely depressed when she found that the Queen gave birth to a stillborn. However, she didn't know about the drug until by accident, when she heard the King and Queen arguing. When Madison heard that Jaysa tried to kill the baby, she was pretty mad, but when she learned that Jaysa couldn't bring herself to drink it. It made her have more faith in the young Queen. Just like what Danzel said, she would make a wonderful mother. She couldn't wait. Madison brought her hands to her mouth trying to hide her happiness.

"What are you doing there Madison?" The girl looked up to see Joseph walking over to her. She put her finger to her mouth as a "shh."

"They are reconciling right now." She saw a soft smile grow on the man's face.

"That's good to hear." He looked down to the material in her small hands. "What is that?" Madison looked down.

"Oh! I want to show you this. But let's go somewhere else." Joseph nodded. The two walked away from the couple in the room.

Danzel and Joseph were in strategy room looking at a map of the different territories. There was a huge change that had taken place once the laws were changed. Not only did the economy go back to the popular and outgoing street markets they were before, but it seemed like even more shops were popping up all over the Noble and peasant locations making less room than what they had before. The two men were looking what they could possibly do as in expending their territories and how much it would be to do that as well.

With all the money that had been coming in by the peasants and nobles, Danzel did raise the taxes to a bit, but not too much. He had spoken with Jaysa first to make sure that she wouldn't flip out if he did. However, she understood that the taxes were not going to the castle to just satisfy his majesties selfish reason, but to help the community that he had restored, she allowed the change. Danzel shook his head. He couldn't believe that he is allowing himself to be taken by this woman. It's almost like she was the ruler instead of him. That was one thing he liked about her though. He grinned.
