"I know that my husband asked me not to come, but I wanted to try talking to him. Everyone said that he wasn't able to speak, and I wanted to see if he would say something if I showed up." The man looked at the basket in her hands.
"Oh, I see. You wanted to get him to talk with food." Jaysa looked down at the food. She almost jumped to her feet.
"I wanted to try something peaceful first. Before you guys start with your unnecessary torture that you men are so proud of." She spoke. She isn't trying to be rude, but she couldn't help her words to come out that way. The man looked like he was amused. He put one of his hands on his hip and looked at her sideways.
"You think that you may be able to get this man to tell you what you want because you are a female?" The man asked amused to where this would go to. It reminded her of Danzel in many ways. The one thing she had to keep in her mind was this was not Danzel. So she won't be able to push her way through as she does with her husband. "Well, I am actually intrigued in this. I will allow you to try to make this beast speak. But if he doesn't we will take over and do what us men do to make him talk." Mr. Franken said with a smirk. She could tell that he was having fun. It was almost like a game.
"Okay. I will. I will show you that you don't need to torture people to make them talk." The man nodded to the agreement.
"Okay! Then you have three days to get this man talking." The man set a time limit.
"Three days?" Jaysa questioned not pleased with the time frame.
"Yes. That is usually the amount of time that any of us can get someone to talk. So I am also going to give you that time as well." Jaysa's grip on the basket tightened. She knew that it was too short to even get someone to speak, but this still gives her opportunities to at least try.
"Fine then. I will find out much about this man. Just wait and see."
"I'm looking forward to it." The man spoke as he turned on his heels and waved at Jaysa with his back to her. Right before he left, he stopped and said, "I will also not tell your husband about this either. You don't want to get into trouble right." Jaysa opened her mouth to respond, but the man was already up the stairs. She knew that she could yell out, but that would echo all the way up the stairs and into the ears that she didn't want to know that she was down here. She took in a sigh and looked at the man in the cell.
"Please," She begged. "Please talk to me. Let me help you out." There was still nothing but silence coming from the man. Jaysa sighed again. Only thing that she could do is try it again tomorrow. "I'll see you tomorrow, so please, please talk with me." She took one last look at the man before heading out.
"So I heard that there is a wild prisoner in the cells down under." The man that spoke was Martin. He took a sip of his wine after he spoke. Jaysa and Danzel were also at the dinner table eating the spread of food in front of them. Madison happily ate the chicken and warm bread that was handed to her. Jaysa ate some of the chicken, but was not inhaling it as the younger one was. Danzel of course, was taking his time tasting the food before taking a drink of his own glass.
"He's not a wild prisoner." Danzel responded to his uncle's comment. "He just looks like he's a wild animal because of his appearance that is all."
"Oh!" His uncle swirled his wine in his cup before taking another drink. "I also heard that he has not spoken a word either. That man could easily be a spy."
"Don't you think I know that?" Danzel yelled. His uncle just smirked. "We are interrogating the man right now to find out where he had come from, or if he was here just by chance."
"There is no chance in this life. There is a reason that everything happens." Danzel glared at his uncle. He knew that stuff doesn't happen for a reason. Thinking of what his uncle had done in the past, he knew that nothing happens because it's God's will.
"I'm tired of talking about that useless man. As I sit here for the rest of my dinner, I don't want to hear of peep about it."
"Okay, Okay!" Martin put up his hands up in surrender. He looked over at Jaysa. "So my Queen, have you been feeling better. Your features look awfully bright. You're almost glowing." Jaysa sat down the glass that she was drinking from. She didn't know what this man was trying to get out of her. He could just be starting a harmless conversation because her husband stopped the one they were having earlier. But to start one with her made no sense. Though, she couldn't be mean to the man. So she answered to his question.
"Oh, no nothing big has happened if you think that is what it is. I'm just happy with my life now. That is all."
"Oh, I forgot. You were forced here against your will and also had to marry my nephew. I can understand you not being happy with the way your life was going."
"Yes," Jaysa spoke before the man raddled on about nonsense she didn't want to hear. "And as you said, I was brought here for a reason. It was God's will to bring me into your nephews' life, and for him to marry me. I believe that it did well for everyone around us as well." Martin's smirk on his face was lost and laughter was heard. Jaysa looked at her husband who had burst into laughter. Jaysa looked at her husband for a moment, and then started to giggle with him. Martin didn't seem very pleased though.
"Ah, Jaysa, you say the cutest things." He spoke out after he finally calmed down.
"Thank you. I take that as a compliment." Jaysa smiled. She glanced over at Martin that wore a sour expression. She knew that he didn't like that fact that two have become so close. They finally have confessed to each other and were able to get over all the hurdles that life threw at them. Jaysa knew that she herself was the biggest hurdle in the relationship. So to be able to finally open her heart to the man she had married made her feel like a weight was lifted from her. She was able to express everything no matter if its love or hate to that man, and he still accepted her. Jaysa looked at her husband who was still glowing from laughing fit he had. A huge smile was on his face. Madison could even see the love the two had for each other. The young girl smiled.
