Walking down the steps leading down to the dungeon, Danzel and Jaysa made their way over to the man chained up. He looked up at the two. Danzel was shocked by what he saw. The man was not the same man he saw a couple of days ago. He looked at his wife.
"Oh, I shaved him, and cut his hair." She spoke in a chipper voice. He looked back at the man. The man's features were completely different. He looked like an entirely different person. Who knew cutting hair and shaving a beard would make such a difference. When looking that man, he thought he was in his middle age, but now looked closer to their age. The man just stared at Danzel. Danzel cleared his throat before speaking.
"I understand that you spoke with my wife and gave her some information." The man nodded. "I want to ask. If you were able to speak, why did you not speak when the guards questioned you?" The man was quiet. "Are you not going to answer me?" Danzel's voice rose a bit in anger. It was silent for a moment before the man spoke. "I will only answer the beautiful woman's questions." Danzel grit his teeth.
"She is my wife. I am the King! You will answer me!" He yelled at the man. The man was still silent. "Answer me God damn it!" Danzel yelled as he hit the cell bar. The man was unfazed by Danzel's threats and sighed, which only caused Danzel to growl in anger. The man was pissing him off. Jaysa put one of her hands on her husband's that were against the metal bar. He looked at her, anger still in his eyes. She gave him a soft smile. Danzel lowered his hand. Jaysa moved closer to the bars of the cell and spoke.
"Because you don't want to speak to my husband and only speak to me, would you speak to him if I asked you to?" Jaysa asked. Her voice was sweet and gentle. The man closed his eyes and smirked.
"I can't deny a request from you." Danzel couldn't help but squeeze his hands into a tight fist. This man was making fun of him, and he knew it.
"Fine now!" Danzel spoke out. "I want to ask you some questions. First, what is your name?" The man looked at Danzel confused.
"Didn't I tell her that information?" The man questioned. Danzel's fists were shaking in irritation.
"I'm asking these questions now!" Danzel snapped.
"Wow, so demanding." The man mocked. "Is he always like this?" The man looked over at Jaysa and asked. She couldn't help but let out a small giggle before replaying.
"Yes, yes he is." Danzel glared at his wife who only smiled at him. He felt like he was being played with. He was King; he shouldn't be treated like this.
"Are you going to answer my fucking questions or be an annoying prick?" Danzel yelled out. The man's eyes flew open for a moment, and become soft again.
"Okay, okay. I was just having some fun." The man laughed.
"This is not a fucking joke!" Jaysa could hear his patience with the man becoming nonexistent.
"I think you should answer his questions now." Jaysa spoke to the man.
"He should have been answering the questions the first time I asked him!" He snapped at Jaysa. Jaysa didn't pay her husband any mind.
"Go ahead and answer his first question."
"Okay, the man started. "My name is Levi Crimson. I was on my way to-,"
"Wait!" Danzel stopped the man.
"Now what's wrong?" Jaysa questioned her husband. "You asked his to answer your questions, and he's answering." Danzel just glared at his wife. His eyes were fuming with anger. Jaysa just met her husband with the same gaze. He gritted his teeth and then sighed. Jaysa knew that Danzel was giving up with the fight.
"Fine." Danzel said and he waived at the man with a limp hand. "Continue what you were saying." Levi grinned a bit, and continued his story.
"Like I said, I was on my way to a neighboring Kingdom, when some thieves found me one night and took everything from me. My horse, my wagon, food, water, they took everything. And I know that Mizulopa was the closet Kingdom in this area. However, it took me longer than what I expected to get here. I barley was able to survive while I was out there. So when I made it to your Kingdom, I was kind of out of it. So yes, I did act like someone suspicious, but it was after this wonderful angel came in and feed me. I was able to remember what had happened."
"Angel?" Danzel looked over at Jaysa.
"What!" Jaysa asked him with a hit of annoyance.
"So I want to let you know, that I'm not a spy, but a traveler."
"Okay," Danzel started. "Why do you travel?"
"Oh, I'm with the trade. I buy and sell items to different Kingdoms."
"Okay, so you are a merchant."
"Yes." The man replied.
"Okay. I will get your story checked out." Danzel spoke as he turned on his heels.
"Dan…. Your Highness." Jaysa almost called out her husband's name, but stopped herself. "Are we going to leave this man shackled? We know who this man is." Danzel turned to look at his wife.
"We only know the story he has told us, doesn't make it true."
"Well, you can at least unshackle him. I'm sure his arms are numb hanging like that." Jaysa was trying to convince her husband to take off the restraints on his wrists.
"If they are numb, he won't be feeling any pain." Danzel replied with a smart remark.
"Come on. Be a human being!" Jaysa put her hands on her hips staring at her man. He just looked at her. Her focus would not be broken. Danzel sighed again.
"Fine, I will ask a guard to come over and take the restraints off of him. Are you happy?" Jaysa smiled.
"Yep!" Danzel shook his head and began to walk towards the entrance of the dungeon.
"You are able to get him to do anything you want with the face of your huh." Danzel heard Levi speak to Jaysa.
"No, not really. Only when he knows that I'm right." A smiled showed that Jaysa was very pleased in herself.
"I know if I had a cute girl like you asking me to do something. I would never be able to say no." His voice held a hit of enjoyment in his voice.
"Oh Please." Jaysa couldn't help but blush a bit to what the man had said to her.
"Jaysa!" She heard her husband yell out her name. She looked at the man. His features showed he was not pleased. Looking back at Levi, she spoke.
"I need to go, but we will make sure that the guards take care of you okay." Levi nodded.
"I hope to see your beauty soon." A blush showed a bit on her face. She tried to hide it as she walked towards Danzel.
