Chapter 164

A month had passed. The couple had gotten used to what it was like to be parents. Jaysa would wake up several times during the night to feed the small child or change its diaper. Danzel was not fond of changing the diaper. He would make a comment of how they should leave it to the maids. Jaysa would counteract to the comment. She was never raised around anyone but her parents. She didn't want to have someone else taking care of her child. She was not going to be one of those parents. Danzel would argue but finally give up not wanting to start fights with his wife. Her attitude was worse after her giving birth. He was told by Joseph, that it was it because she was exhausted. She needed to get some rest since she was the one taking care of their child the most. Danzel would try to get Jaysa to take rest. he would even take over most of the responsibilities to allow Jaysa that rest.

Madison would even chip in to help take care of the bundle as well. She was just as excited to have the child in the world. This was her little brother as what Jaysa said she could call him. She loved holding the baby in her arms as the child smiled showing off its toothless smile. Madison couldn't help but fall in love with the infant just like the couple.

"I can't believe how cute this child is." Madison would comment. Jaysa would smile. She knew when the midwife showed Jaysa the baby wrapped up in the blanket to keep him warm. She saw the eyes look up into her own. that instance she fell in love. She would make sure that the child would never worry about anything in life and always be happy. She knew that Danzel was in complete love with the child as well. During the party, he couldn't help showing off his child to everyone. Since the child was born, he had talked about how he would grow up as handsome as he was. Jaysa laughed. Danzel of course, didn't care for the respond. She wouldn't tell Danzel, but she hoped he grew up and would be just like his father. She would teach him how to properly treat and take care of a woman. Especially one that he loved. She won't allow him to be someone like her husband's uncle. He would learn all the evil deeds the man had done to not only the Kingdom, but to them as well. She will make sure that he knows it all, and knows what is right and wrong. The days were peaceful now, at least that's what it seemed like. "Your highness! We have a problem." Danzel looked up from the child that was smiling in the crib. He held a toy above the child.

"What Is it Joseph." Danzel was irritated that he was just interrupted.

"Sire. It's the King from Kortanel. He had made his move." Danzel stood straight and narrow your eyes.

"What had happened?" Danzel questioned. His voice low.

"This may be something that would be best to talk about in private." Joseph responded. Danzel moved his gaze over to Madison and then Jaysa.

"Go ahead. Take care of the business. We will still be here." Danzel turned back to Joseph. The older man stayed quiet. The young man kissed his wife in the lips before following Joseph out of the room.

"I wonder what it is going on?" Jaysa quietly spoke to herself. She was worried. With Joseph coming into the room like he did. The sound of the baby making googling noises brought her thoughts back to the child in the crib.

Danzel and Joseph made their way into the strategy room. Danzel walked over to the table in the middle of the room and leaned against it. He crossed his arms and ankles. He looked at the man that stood in front of him. Joseph closed the door and made his way to the table.

"What is going on?" Danzel questioned the older man "What did the King form Kortanel do?"

"I know that it has been several months since the last time that we had heard about the man wanting you off of the throne. We soon believed it to be just a drunk spouting off his mouth. However, that's not what it was." Joseph pulled out a document from inside his robe. Danzel uncrossed his arms and reached out for the letter. The seal had already been broken. He looked up at Joseph and then back at document. He unwrapped the letter. He read through the context on it. His eyes narrowed as he went through the document. He smashed the paper in his fists. He couldn't believe that the man would do this. He seriously thought everything was peaceful again between them. For heaven sakes, he invited to see his newborn. He didn't seem out of place at all. The man was all smiles, but it was all a sham. The man, he wanted to make war with him.

"The fuck is up with this?" Danzel yelled. He threw the paper onto the ground. "He wants a war. What the hell. I have no reason to have a war over something stupid as this." Danzel was beyond livid. He couldn't believe that this was happening. What was he going to do? He didn't want to have a war. He had been throwing the events to get closer to the Kingdoms and countries that his uncle had pissed off. Yet, there was still one King that thought he was not taking the apology.

"Sire. If we are not able to make a peace treaty with the man. He may take us to war. That would not be something that the Kingdom would need at this time. We have been working so hard to make allies again."

"I understand that. I need to think of what we should do. I want to avoid it at all cost. However, if that's the only way choice. We may just have to go to war with that man."

"Sire." Joseph sighed. He knew Danzel doesn't care for wars. However, he also knew that there was no way that he could evade it completely. Men thirst for wars in every country. His father just had so many allies that they many other Kingdoms would think twice before attacking them. Yet, with what had happened when his uncle took over. All that alliance that they had made was thrown out the window. So Danzel was trying to repair the damage that was done. Joseph though, would stand behind his King's decision no matter what he decided on. If Danzel wanted to try with the peace, he would help him. If the young man thinks that war was the way to go. He would back him up that way to. Either way. He was behind the young man.
