  “You didn't tell me Family was part of the deal,” I argued.

  “So I have to tell you that? I thought you knew your job,” he said coldly without looking at me. I was tall, but he was taller so I had to look up at him.

  “Family is not public,” I stated.

  “Oh, so they're totally part of my private life, right? I don't deal with family everyday like you folks do and I wish I could skip this stupid dinner.”

  I sighed and rubbed my forehead.

  “Okay, what time?” I asked.

  “by six in the evening. It's three hours from now, so you should go home and get yourself ready. I'll be picking you up,” he stated. Right then, the elevator door opened so he stepped out immediately. I looked at the buttons and sighed. I still had one more floor to descend.
