Chapter 12

  Elena's POV

“Shall we go now?” I ask as he turned around and lifted the glass to his lips. He walked to the bar and dropped the glass there, then turned to me.

“Let's go,” he said and began to walk to the door alone. Was he not supposed to at least lock hands with me? Umph!

We left the living room and reached the elevator, which took us downstairs. The car was parked in the underground parking lot, so that's where our elevator ride stopped. Throughout the ride, Alex didn't even glance at me. I didn't know why it hurt. Maybe it was because I really dressed up nice and he didn't even compliment me much.

“The car's that one,” he said and pointed to a big red Mercedes Benz car.

“How many cars do you have?” I asked.

“Not much. About ten,” he replied and I gasped.

“What in the world are you using ten whole cars for?”

  “Driving?”

  “Ten is still too much.”

“Each car has its own occasion. Some of the cars are just for assets keeping.”
