Chapter 14

  Alexander's POV

I touched her face and arms, not knowing what to do immediately. Vee came out and saw her.

“Oh my God! What happened?” she asked.

“She might have heard our conversation,” I answered and sighed.

“Pick her up. Lay her on your bed.”

I carried her up gently and Vee opened the door. Walking sideways, I took her through the door and into the room. I placed her carefully on the bed and arranged her hair.

“Get a wet towel and gently dab her face and arms. She'll wake up,” I said and turned to leave the room.

“Where are you going?” Vee asked.

“Just do what I said,” I retorted and walked out the door.

I was angry with myself for not controlling my mouth. Elena hearing I'm not human while eavesdropping my conversation with my sister, was not part of my plan. I needed to think of something to tell her about that when she wakes up. But right then, I just needed something to drink.
