Chapter 616 ( Decision - II )

"I see you're doing better" - Cloud said as he saw how Cattleya looked at him with hostility to the blond - "I see you still have your spirit intact."

Cattleya didn't respond, she just looked at the blond neutrally.

"Is there anything else you'd like to say?" - Cloud asked as he looked at the demon woman - "The faster we get this over with, the faster you can leave, or whatever."

"Do you really think I'll be able to return to my home when I've talked about our plans?" - Cattleya asked disdainfully - "The moment they find out I spoke, I'm dead."

"Then you can escape to an unknown place, I honestly don't care" - replied Cloud as he shook his head - "What happens to you, I'm indifferent"

"I know" - Cattleya replied calmly as she looked carefully at the blond - "That's why I want to make a deal with you."

"Oh?" - Cloud raised an eyebrow when he heard this because he wasn't expecting this proposal - "Please go on"

"It's simple, I'll go back to my home and be your spy" - Cattleya said simply - "But the moment I feel that you found out that I betrayed you, I'm going to escape and I expect you to have my back"

"And how do I know you won't betray me like you did your race?" - Cloud asked disdainfully.

"Because I can sign a blood contract" - Cattleya replied as she bit her lip - "I'm sure your companions must have explained a little about my race to you"

Cloud was silent before thinking for a few seconds - "Please explain a little more about this blood contract, oh, and I recommend you not while, my escorts have quite a bit of information about your race."

"I don't plan on lying when my life is on the line" - Cattleya replied sarcastically - "The blood contract is simple, we both write a contract in which we sign with our blood essence, when both our names are on, we will be tied directly to the contract and in the event that we breach it, well, the results aren't going to be pretty"

"Hmm" - Cloud was silent when he heard this as he narrowed his eyes - "Anything else?"

"Anything else you want to know?" - Cattleya asked as she raised an eyebrow - "Well, one of the punishments for breaching the contract is a simple blood binding, which pretty much makes the breacher the slave of the other party"

Cloud raised an eyebrow as he tried to contact the system to see what kind of consequences he would have if he breached the contract, but to his annoyance, the system seemed unwilling to respond, or simply unable to.

"As you can see, we are both bound in the same way, and there is no way to break the contract because it is regulated by the progenitor of my race" - Cattleya continued neutrally - "Well?"

"Ok, we have a deal" - nodded Cloud calmly as he untied the woman.

Cattleya stroked her wrists as they ached after being bound for so long, before looking at Cloud neutrally - "I'm surprised you let me free so soon, aren't you afraid I'll escape or try something against you?"

"If you think you can pull it off, I invite you to do so" - Cloud replied neutrally.

"No, I value my life more than you think" - Cattleya said as she snapped her fingers and summoned a strange blank sheet - "What follows is simple, we both think about the agreement while marking the contract, this sheet will create an agreement as accurate to both of our requests"

"And what if the agreement is not equivalent, or if one of us doesn't want to sign it?" - Cloud asked curiously because this skill was much more interesting than he thought.

"It's simple, we just have to negotiate again and repeat the action, the contract will change as many times as necessary before we sign it" - replied Cattleya as she looked disdainfully at the blond because there was something she had left out of the explanation, and that was that as the descendants of the creator of this contract, the demons had slight advantages or loopholes that they could use to their advantage.

Cloud nodded calmly as he smiled coolly in his mind, after all, he could feel the change in the woman when he summoned the strange white sheet.

The two quickly made the contract and signed it.

Cattleya smiled slightly because she could tell that everything was in perfect order, but her expression changed when she noticed the blond's huge smile, so she started to read the contract again, only to turn pale when she read a small clause almost at the bottom of the sheet.

"I look forward to continue working with you, Cattleya" - Cloud said as he smiled slightly.

Cattleya was silent before letting out a sharp cry of fury when she saw the blond leave the room.

The contract was pretty standard, it bound the two parties to work together. Cattleya would work as a spy for the blond and he would protect her when the time came, this left a lot of room for the demon woman to move or do things she shouldn't, but everything changed with the last clause of the contract, the one that said "neither party may take actions that would directly harm the other party to the contract".

Cloud knew that the moment he started putting in clauses to hold the woman back, she wouldn't sign the contract, that's why he left a clause that looked like it would help the woman, but in reality he would use it as a shield for possible actions Cattleya planned to execute.

"You bastard!" - Cattleya roared because he had tricked her in the end.

Cattleya had decided to trick the blond and send him false information in order to save her skin, after all, the plans she had mentioned, could be easily replaceable, but now she couldn't do any of this because of the stupid contract that prevented her from acting against the blond directly.

She could try to talk one of her bosses into just giving her false information, but that would be breaking the contract.

"You bastard!" - Cattleya roared again as she trashed the room.

It took 15 minutes before she managed to regain her composure and leave the room, but the fury she felt was still palpable.

"Why are you smiling, Cloud?" - Yue asked as she raised an eyebrow.

The group of women had been waiting for him in the room after they were done with their shopping, and trashing some idiots who tried to push the boundaries with them.

"It's nothing, I just remembered a joke" - Cloud replied with a small smile as he watched as Myu was dancing happily in the new clothes they had bought her, a cute white summer dress - "It looks good on you."

"Thank you, daddy!" - Myu exclaimed as she hugged the blond.

Cloud shook his head as he watched the girls frown, possibly at the strange interaction the blond was having with the little girl.

"Myu-chan, could you go get me some water?" - Cloud asked as he watched as Yue looked like she wanted to say something, but didn't because the little girl was in the room.

"Okay!" - Myu exclaimed as she walked out of the room with a small smile.

"Don't you think you're being too permissive with her?" - Yue asked as she raised an eyebrow seeing how the sea tribe girl had left the place - "After all, we won't see her again after leaving her with her mother."

"That's why I want her to have the best days we can give her" - Cloud replied calmly as he looked to in the direction where the little girl had gone - "I know you guys have had a full family despite your losses, so you don't understand, but growing up with only a mother, it's kind of sad."

The girls were silent as they waited for the blond to continue.

"The truth is that I can see myself in Myu-chan, my childhood wasn't the best, and for reasons I don't want to talk about, my mother ended up raising me alone" - Cloud said as he narrowed his eyes - "She did her best to try to raise me, but I always wondered how it felt to have a complete family, to have a father who was there, supporting us."

The girls watched the blond, noticing how a huge amount of hatred appeared in his gaze the more he talked about his childhood, though it quickly disappeared as he watched Myu return with a cup - "Thank you."

"You're welcome, Dad!" - Myu exclaimed with a small smile as she hugged the blond.

Cloud smiled slightly as he stroked the little girl's light blue hair.

"I'm going to get everything ready" - Shea said as she left the room with a thoughtful expression.

"That was an... interesting story" - Tio replied as he gave Yue a glance and thanked her because thanks to his words, she had gotten to know the blond a little more, as well as discovering that he wasn't as expressionless as she thought, but that he still didn't open up enough to be able to express what he kept in his heart.

Yue was silent for a few seconds before letting out a sigh - "Sorry."

"You don't have to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong" - Cloud replied calmly as he smiled in the direction of the confused blue-haired girl - "Come on, it's time to prepare dinner."

"Ok!" - Myu exclaimed happily as she followed her "father".
