Chapter 643 ( Leviathan )

"Mom!" - Myu exclaimed as she entered her mother's room, and to her surprise, not seeing her anywhere - "Mom?"

The little girl quickly ran into the kitchen, only to see how her mother was already there, with a smile on her beautiful face - "Mom?"

"Huh? Oh, hello, Myu-chan" - Remia said with a smile - "I see you slept well."

"Yes, yesterday was the best day of my life ~" - exclaimed Myu excitedly as she looked around - "And where's daddy?"

"He said he was going to investigate something before he came for lunch, the girls must be watching the city" - Remia replied as she stroked her daughter's head.

Myu narrowed her eyes when she noticed that her mother seemed to be much happier than usual, so she quickly tried to probe further.

"Mom? Did you accept daddy?" - Myu asked with a huge smile.

Remia blushed when she heard her daughter's question, more so when she remembered what had happened last night. She never thought she would have the courage to kiss the blond with such a short time of knowing each other, but something inside her made her gather enough courage to be able to do so.

"Mom ~?" - Myu said with a happy smile.

"Let's see, if what the mayor said is true, she should be around this place," muttered Cloud as he looked around.

He was currently in the middle of the sea in search of the strange ruins the mayor had mentioned. His clothing consisted of nothing more than a swimming costume, after all, he didn't need any equipment to survive in this place, and breathing underwater was easy by mixing the magic of water and air.

Cloud continued swimming while ignoring all the monsters that were roaming the area, after all, there was no need to kill them because he could no longer level up thanks to having regained his true body, as for eating them, there was no need either because such a low level wouldn't bring him any benefit.

The blond continued to move forward until he came to what looked like a graveyard of submerged ships, but other than that, he hadn't managed to find any traces of the ruins.

"Did the mayor lie to me?" - Cloud muttered as he frowned - "No, I don't think he's that stupid, maybe there's something he's ignoring..."

Cloud thought about the mayor's words to see if he had missed any details - "Let's see, submerged ruins about 300 kilometres northwest of the city, many Erisen inhabitants disappearing during the nights.... That's it!"

The blond quickly understood why, the stories the mayor had told him always happened during the night, but he had been so focused on simply entering the labyrinth and conquering it, that he had ignored that important detail.

"If so, then we're going to have to come back later," Cloud muttered, only to narrow his eyes when he heard a mighty roar, "Well, at least I'll be able to take some food home."

As he finished speaking, a huge silhouette appeared in front of him, a titanic white coloured beast in the shape of a snake.

"A variant Leviathan" - said Cloud with a huge toothy grin - "Perfect, you possess the blood of dragons so you're a good source of nutrients despite your weakness."

The huge sea serpent roared fiercely as its instincts screamed at it to escape.

Cloud just smiled in approval when he saw that the Leviathan didn't run away, this wasn't something he did just because he was a dragon, but rather an instinct that was in his DNA.

Cloud returned home a few hours later with his body covered in wounds.

Fighting a Leviathan in his element had not been one of his better ideas, and it had been fun, at least until he took the fight seriously.

The Dagon tribesmen standing on the shores of the sea, preparing to go fishing, froze when they saw a huge silhouette approaching their town. They burst out in panic, but their expressions changed when they saw the silhouette being dragged by a much smaller one.

"A Leviathan?!" - A Dagon exclaimed as he shivered in terror, only to feel his jaw drop to the ground as he saw how Cloud was dragging the huge beast - "I think I'm still asleep!"

Cloud ignored all the stares until he reached the beach with his prey in tow, and see how the guards had already arrived to calm the people down.

"I knew it would be you," Albus said as he picked the bridge of his nose.

Cloud just gave him a blank look as he watched the old Dagon work and calm all the people down.

"I'm not even going to ask why you're bringing that thing, so let's just get to the point, will you sell us half?" - Albus asked as he folded his arms.

"Depends, how much will you pay and with what?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"We can talk about it somewhere else while I get some of my men to take care of Leviathan," Albus said as he motioned for the blond to follow him.

Cloud nodded calmly as he followed the head guard, again ignoring how everyone in the place was looking at him in fear.

"That guy's a monster" - muttered a Dagon as he looked at his companions - "Yeah, and we'd better not mess with him or his companions."

"Well, at least now we know Muy-chan and Remia-san are safe" - said another Dagon as the others nodded.

"It also means he's not human, just look at his eyes and actions" - added another Dagon on the spot.

"Now that you mention it, it's true" - muttered a woman while clicking her tongue. She had found Cloud cute, but thinking he was human she had decided not to approach him, and now that she had discovered he wasn't human, she was cursing not having made a move sooner.

Cloud returned to Remia's house an hour later, only to see how everyone was gathered in the living room.

"As you'd expect from dad!" - Myu exclaimed as she jumped into Cloud's arms and climbed right up onto his shoulder, which seemed to have become her favorite spot.

Cloud smiled when he saw this as he shook his head - "From Myu-chan's words, I'd like to assume they heard about my little hunt!"

"Little girl?! You hunted one of the lords of the seas!" - Remia exclaimed as she looked at the blonde boy in disbelief.

"Honestly, this is normal for us," said Shea as she scratched her cheek, "I mean, it's not the first time Cloud hunts a giant monster, nor will it be the last."

Yue nodded as she remembered that their encounter was with that giant scorpion and then they killed the Hydra.

"Right, he hunted me" - Tio nodded as her cheeks turned a beautiful red colour.

Kaori rolled her eyes at them because she still couldn't believe that Tio was the same girl who had annihilated the huge Slime and saved a city.

"I feel that little by little my common sense will start to be shattered" - Remia sighed, more when she saw how her daughter seemed to be much better off than her in this situation, which honestly worried her because giant beasts meant dangers of equal dimensions.

"In retrospect, I think the desert worms were much bigger" - said Cloud as the others shrugged their shoulders.

"Ok, I'd better get lunch ready" - Remia said as she let out a gasp of surprise as she saw Cloud throw her a bag - "What's this?"

"Leviathan meat, I'm sure it will be delicious" - answered Cloud calmly.

"You know we can't eat from monsters?" - Remia asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"Actually, it's possible, we do it all the time" - replied Shea honestly - "Even Myu-chan tried it!"

"Yes, it's delicious ~!" - exclaimed Myu happily - "Although the first time it made my stomach hurt a little"

Remia looked at the meat Cloud had handed her before sighing and nodding. Something told her that she had better get adjusted to all of this fast because things were about to get a lot crazier.

"What was it you managed to get for Leviathan?" - Yue asked as she raised an eyebrow.

Cloud showed them a huge glowing rock that didn't look much different from the ones at the bottom of the sea, but Tio narrowed her eyes because hse could sense a slight her - "What is it?"

"It's a star of the deep, a rare mineral that was used by the ancient inhabitants of the sea" - answered Cloud while noticing how Myu looked at the stone as if hypnotised, so he quickly put it away - "As for its functionality, I'm not sure yet, but what I can assure you, is that it has a close relationship with the sea dragons of ancient times.

"Hmm, I see" - nodded Tio as she shook her head,
