Chapter 579 [ Shea - I ]

"Help!" - A girl's cry of desperation was heard.

"Did you hear that?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Impossible not to hear it, that frequency level almost ruptured my eardrums" - Yue replied neutrally.

Cloud gave her a blank look before speeding up, only to see how a cute girl with long bunny ears, was running away from a creature that looked like a dinosaur.

"You, help me!" - The bunny girl exclaimed with tears in her eyes.

Cloud quickly grabbed his gun and pulled the trigger twice before the girl could say anything else.

After that, the girl's scream echoed through the place.

* * * * *

"Thank you so much, thank you for saving me!" - cried the bunny girl as she continued to hug the blond, much to the annoyance of Yue who was doing her best to separate her from her husband, though she had to admit that the bunny girl was quite tenacious.

"Ok, that was enough thanks, now we have to go on with our journey" - Cloud answered while shaking his head because he felt that this girl was a pain in the ass.

"Wait, I need your help!" - exclaimed the bunny girl as she stepped in front of the duo.

"We already helped you," Yue replied with a frown.

"W-Well, actually, that wasn't really the help I was asking you for" - muttered the rabbit girl as she explained a bit about her ability to see the future to them - "And well, my visions showed me that here I could save my people"

"The same visions that always end up hurting you?" - Yue asked as she gave her a blank look.

"In my defense, they only appear when I'm in danger, so they end up saving my skin" - replied the light blue, almost platinum-haired rabbit girl.

"But aren't these abilities what made your people reject you?" - Yue asked with a frown.

The rabbit girl ducked her head before nodding - "What I haven't told you, is that I can't control mana directly, but my race can't use the elements, that's why my people treat me like a monster."

"Monster" - Yue muttered as she frowned even more, after all, this was something that had happened to her too - "Cloud."

Cloud let out a sigh before nodding - "Okay, we'll help you."

"Thanks!" - exclaimed the rabbit girl excitedly as she went back to helping - "By the way, why are you guys in this place?"

"We're heading to the [sea of trees] to enter the [Great Haltina Maze]" - Cloud answered honestly - "But let's leave that for another time, tell us how we can help you."

"Right!" - Shea exclaimed as she began to relate her problem.

Fifteen minutes later, she finished and was looking at the two blondes with hopeful eyes.

"I see, though I have to give you bad news" - said Cloud as he shook his head - "We can save your people, but it's quite possible that the captured members of your race, were already moved to another place"

"I knew it" - muttered the rabbit girl as she sighed regretfully - "But I still ask for your help, at least with this my clan will still be able to live free."

"Ok, let's go" - nodded Cloud as he jumped onto his bike.

Yue quickly sat down in front of him while the rabbit girl looked apprehensively at the strange method of transportation.

"Hop on, and I recommend you hold on tight enough, we don't want to have to pick you up halfway" - Cloud said with a huge grin.

The bunny girl trembled slightly as she held on as tight as possible, what she didn't notice, was that her generously large breasts, were pressing against the blond's hard back.

Cloud was silent for a few seconds before speeding up, though the slight change in expression, didn't go unnoticed by Yue, who could only click her tongue when she saw that her breasts were small in comparison.

"By the way, you still won't tell us your name" - Cloud said as he drove his motorcycle.

"Oh, sorry, my name Shea, Shea Haulia" - replied the bunny girl, now known as Shea - "It's a pleasure."

"My name is Cloud Strife, and this is Yue" - Cloud mused as the vampire girl gave Shea a look.

"Uh, did I do something wrong?" - Shea asked as she could sense Yue's growing hostility.

"Worthless rabbit" - muttered Yue neutrally.

"Why!" - Shea exclaimed with tears in her eyes, but her expression changed when she saw how the blonde girl was looking at her breasts - "Just because of my breasts?!"

"Worthless meat bags" - Yue muttered as she continued to hurl aggressive comments at Shea.

Cloud for his part, could only sigh with regret because something told him that his journey would be like this from now on.

* * * * *

"You guys are just like me!" - Shea exclaimed excitedly when she saw how during the trip, Yue cast spells without enchantments, just like Cloud.

"No, we're superior" - Yue replied disdainfully - "I can destroy an entire city if I wanted to, Cloud can do the same, and even more!"

"Huh? Really?" - Shea asked in surprise, only to start shouting - "It's unfair! Why can't I do the same when I can also control mana directly!"

"By simple elemental compatibility" - replied Yue seriously - "There are races that are more blessed than others, in your case, it all depends on physical power, in the case of us, we are much luckier!"

Shea was silent before sighing regretfully, though she quickly returned to her cheerful and bubbly attitude - "So, what are you going to the [Great Labyrinth] for?"

"Secret" - Cloud replied as he continued to make his way through the gorge.

"Oh, come on, we're similar, you can trust me ~" - smiled Shea, though she was speechless when she noticed Yue's cold stare.

"We're not alike, we've been through things you can't imagine" - replied Yue seriously.

"Yue" - Cloud muttered with a frown - "I know you've suffered more than us, but that doesn't mean you can overlook the suffering of others. This isn't a contest to see who has suffered more than the other, besides, you're happy now, aren't you?"

"I'd be happier if you took away my V-card" - Yue muttered with a slightly red face.

"Ok, you win, but when we're done with this or get to a more private place" - muttered Cloud while noticing how Yue smiled slightly.

"Promise, no turning back" - Yue said with an even happier smile.

"Thanks for sticking up for me, Cloud" - smiled Shea as her ears twitched slightly, after all, it was the first time in a long time that someone treated her nicely.

"You don't have to thank me, I'm just correcting Yue's bad attitude" - Cloud replied as he gave her a quick glance before turning his attention back to the road.

Shea continued to smile, but her expression changed when she remembered something she had forgotten because she was worried about saving her and her people's lives - "Right, Belta-chan!"

"Belta?" - Cloud repeated as he raised an eyebrow.

"She's my friend, but she disappeared when that [Diheadoar]!" - Shea exclaimed in terror.

"[Diheadoar]? Do you mean that thing that looked like a two-headed dinosaur?" - Cloud asked curiously.

"I don't know what a dinosaur is, but yes, it was that two-headed thing" - nodded Shea with concern.

"I'm sorry to tell you that when we rescued you, there was no other presence with a human mana" - replied Yue while shaking her head - "So I can give you three possible hypotheses: one, she got lost and went to a place where our senses can't reach her, two, she escaped and left you alone, three, she's dead."

"¡I-M-P-O-S-I-B-L-E!" - Shea exclaimed with hostility - "Belta-chan is the kindest and nicest girl I've ever met, she would never leave me!"

"It's good that you trust a person so much, but I recommend you not to have that kind of blind trust" - Cloud replied while giving the girl a glance - "After all, people can pretend, lie or even hold out until the time is right"

"No, I trust her, even my visions do" - Shea answered seriously while averting her gaze - "I appreciate you helping me, but please, don't insult my friend"

Yue tried to say something else, but kept silent when she saw how the blond shook his head, after all, they didn't know the girl enough to be able to say that they were right, they also didn't know how strong was the connection between Shea and this Berta, nor was it their problem.

"We're sorry" - Cloud said calmly - "But what Yue said, it's true, she may not have abandoned you, but the other two options still stand."

Shea nodded weakly as she looked back, wondering where her friend had gotten to, and even if she didn't want to admit it, the words of the duo that was helping her, echoed in her head. She didn't want to believe it, but a small part of her believed that Belta might have betrayed her, after all, no one had treated her so well after hearing about her "curse".
