5 - hospital

Not only was her mother in the same area as her father. Given they were both on final care, there was allowance to have thier beds at each other's side. Her mother in a coma and on machines of life support. Her father awake but watching his lover at his side. Luna at a chair at the end of both beds, was fallen asleep here. She was beyond exhausted from the mental strains.

No spirit here but there was a few hidden at the doorway, waiting.

"Luna." She stirs from hearing her father but this wasn't a living voice. She noted that the sound of the world was stopped and that not even the heart monitor was working, "We are going to leave now. It's time you took what belongs to you." She sits up and he passed over a box of runic pattern. Inside was an broken orb with fragments made into the gemstones of the wedding rings and engagement rings. All four there. She gently closed the box and gives a last hug to him and her mother. A last proper fairwell that was to be heard. Until the cremation funeral.

"We had pre planned and pre paid everything in advance. You just need to call your solicitor. They will sort of any legal process for having you move home or whatever you desire. You can't inherit everything until your 18 but until then. A small living allowance. They are undertaker in training, so they already understand you biological side and the circumstances. It's of not contorl to us what they will push from you." Her mother being this relax sounding helps, but it's just how her undertakers voice is and was more a the express sounding worried while being not human.

"I understand." Luna whispers and let's them go. She watched them take a grey disc over to the undertaker realm and then the thundering of the hospital as the department works out that the couple passed away. Just as Luna was instructed, she takes a big breath and goes calling the solicitor. She goes to a quiet waiting area to speak, not far from the ward.

"The Ark association, how can we help you? From court to unlawful bailiff, we are here to help." a living person at the end of the line.

"I am Luna Fallown and both my parents said I should call you in the time that they pass away. That you help me sort out everything." There is a long pause and the sudden sound of the phone snatched off them.

"How long ago they pass?"

"Just now. I am in hospital when they brought my mother in. The landlord tried to have us evicted and the stress took her. They went together. Hand in hand." A bunch of writing heard, "I have the police case number and the files about the funeral wishes. What do I do now? I am legally under age and technically homeless." The writting stopped flat, "The landlord returned back without the police and changed the lock. I watched him enter my home when mother was being put into the ambulance."

"That's illegal of him. Given the circumstances, you should be protected by law from such things. I will handle this. You will need to be ready for a few court dates in the near future. In the mean time, you need to contact any friends to stay over."

"Alex died today too. The court hunter for the demon case is already sorting that out." She wavered hurt of even saying it.

"Right. Sorry I had a note on that."

"Just a bad few days." She sighed.

"I have someone come to collect you. You be able with police escorts to get your stuff tomorrow." She makes her own notes, "Give that your gifted sight. You only go with my associate who has a undertaker uniform and has a spirit partner." So a living undertaker with a dead partner, "They will take you in for a bit until things settle. You might even end up in a boarding school, if that's OK."

"I am fine with that. Thank you." She doesn't have a choose in the matter. She doesn't mind that the dead person took over the call. The single tone wavelength was easier to cope with the any emotion conjecture by human speech. She hears the two argumenting a little, "I will sit in the visitors area at the end of care ward. It's off from the respiratory and intensive care." She clearly stopped them arguing, "See you soon." She hangs up. She collected everything that was both her parents belongings. The big over night bag for her dad helped. She sits in the corner waiting, she was to young to be filing out the release forms and the papers for getting the death certificates. There was a lot of supernatural tampering going on, she can see that there was folks trying to steal from her. But the attempts kept failing for one reason or another. The paperwork can't be tampered by anyone.

"Excuse me." Some demon in disguise she ignores the thing. It assumed it failed and moved off a different approach. She felt alone, hurt even that this was unending uncertainty around her.

"Everything is going to be fine." She looks at a raven sitting across from her, it was the voice of the orb. No longer was it a box, it had morphed into bird. It hops and sits on her shoulder, "I am the fragments of you. Your soul was broken and trained to many things. I am the parts of your afterlife." She can't help but feel the bird breath like her. Her shoulder held by its warmth and there was that cold gaze of it testing her.

"Are you made of paper? Obviously not not normal paper." She asked this because the feathers were origami folded shapes ans the eyes were gemstones. It was a living puppet. It looked as dead as she does. Gloomy as she felt. No denying there is a deeper sort of knowing, that if she focused hard enough, she can see in its eyes and fly in those wings.

"Miss Fallown." She used the bird at frist to look at the neat suited gentleman, his the dead partner. She softly looked at how he shows her a business card. Not handing it to her but showing it. She stands up and walks over to the desk.

"Would I be able to fill that form in if I have my solicitor help me?" She asked. The person nods and they sorted of what forms are which. She had a hot sweaty hand on her shoulder as the living thin guy wheeze, "Your here. Thank you." She watched what he does, showing a business card but sliding it with his left hand. She accept with her left hand, "Mr Gale." She puts this card safe in her wallet. She doesn't want to loose something this important to her.

"Oh Mr Gale. It's you again." The receptionist smiles, "If this is your client then I can understand why she had to be the one." Whatever prior conversation it was. This freaked out the supernatural folks the disappear quickly. Failure to stop her from gaining assets. Sitting together they go through the many forms and gladly she has everyone's passport on hand to prove ID. The demon in glamour to trick her before took one glance of the undertaker and fleed quickly from here. She was actually able to relax a little now. Writing things out. She extra doubtful to just accept every paper before her. She stops and read everything twice. She even brushed her hand across for any false writing over it already.

"You're a talent." Mr Gale states, "I would have made the mistake if I didn't know." He peels the supernatural false papers away the form was thinner now. Made more sense in reading through. These extra forms were demons trying to steal her information. One was even an adoption registry. The undertaker took all spare those forms, the binds of them melted. She finished the last of it and takes it to the desk. They sorted it all out and with on last hard to repeat signature, she will be sent the death certificates of both her parents in 4 to 9 working days. She will be able to then ask the cremation service to sort the rest when they have copies.

"I have another client to see here. Would you please come with me?" Mr Gale voiced. She nods gently, getting the big bag and walks following. They werent going far and she takes seat hidden with the spirit partner. The living guy went on his own to someone else on death bed. She felt hungry and tired from it being this late. School should have been considered by now but she can't even have the energy for that too. So many worries of what the landlord thinks he will do to her stuff and the many protections. What would he get himself harmed by without her?

"Miss Fallown, what exactly is in your home?"

"I have supernatural pets that eat spirit things. That's the cleanest and least hurting to hear." She looked down, "Yet my pets are dangerous to even death gods and Oath seekers. They were rescues that I took in when I wasn't in this universe." She looks up with Mr Gales return. He was on the phone, to be exact it was her mother's phone. He said nothing yet and was recording it all with a ear peice.

"Mr John Derek, 1st I am the solicitor of the person you are calling. Secondly you have unlawfully prevented entry back into their house. Thirdly, Mrs Fallown just passed away 5 hours ago and given the word of several eye witnesses. This is my notice for court papers, expect them by tonight." He doesn't hang up as there is some very nasty words passed, "I assure you, my work isn't fake or cheap. You are making a mistake." The prolong of foul words and that the landlord hung up, "Miss Fallown, we are going to petition for a protection order right now." He puts the phone away to the pocket for now. She was even more worried by that and now they are heading put the grounds.

"Luna?" She side glances a Seer. She posed only her left hand and had not the voice to speak, "You not invited to the funeral! Don't you dare come!"

"Mr Seer, it isn't your choose if she goes or not." The undertaker hissed that direction, "Enough with this rude behavior." The child was baffled.

"Like she can afford your services."

"No but the combined money of both my dead parents. Oh sorry. Let's not forget that I am no longer interested in your little club. Don't ask me for any favours, you're not worth it. Not even your soul would pay the debt of service required." She had used her spirit monotone voice and that only makes this intimidating defensive speech more perfound, "Go life your life without interfering with me. I can do so much more then you." She sharply turns following her living lawyer.

"Are you sure about excluding yourself from the Seers?" The undertaker asked.

"They would only use names to enslave and force illegal demands. They have already upset the tomes, I don't even need a direct connection to hear it. So many damaged pages and sloppy runic keeping. No wonder there is crisis point in several major realms." She tilts in notice of someone nearby that witnessed her, "You will likely want to hear the accounts from that undertakers over in the shadows over there." She stated in posed a left hand of direction, "His been following around between me and the other Seer kids a while. I would be surprised of some profile he got started up. I am unsure if he is a double agent or a many kingdoms spy." The spirit approached and they exchanged information. She continued following thin skinny living guy. She ignored the expressions of sour and disbelief. Yet she hadn't lied. The big duffle bag was full of men's stuff and bursting. The handbag of her mother over her shoulder. She wasn't changed out of her clothes from when everything happened and her express of hollow sorrow. She carries these burdens that shook any passing by to feel her aura.
