  We circled each other, each searching for a weakness. A lazy eye, a bummed paw, a single moment of distraction is all it would really take. She might not be dressed for battle, but she was built for it. Her muscles were sculpted, filling out her clothes. Her eyes scanned my movements, waiting for just the right moment to strike. She would be let down, I was a figure of perfection when it came to battles. There was a reason that I as a wolf could take out a dragon.

  My wolf had full control. He was pissed but still on alert. He'd faced too many enemies to lose himself in rage. Though he would relish in peeling her face off. My ears flicked, taking in the sounds from around my surroundings. . Down the hall I could hear the others, and the muffled arguments of my mate with her guards. All I wanted to do was break the door down and go to her, but that would only lead this dragon to her. I'd never let that happen.
