Chapter 18

  “Stop that, Eve.” The man looked at her with a trace of warning.

  She had no choice but to zip her lips.

  “You’re spitting negativity again,” Epharil whispered to her ears as she passed by her side.

  “Sorry for waking you up. We really have to rush this and everything, as much as possible. I have to take this to Lux now. You may go back to sleep,” the old man declared, an approval to leave.

  Unlike her, most of her teammates almost run to go back to their rooms. She knows compared to them, Eula and her have the easiest part of their works—as of now. Though in terms of pressure, they all have an equal portion of it.

  Instead of going straight to her bed, she decided to stay outside for a little while to gasp some fresh air.

  “Can’t sleep too?” a familiar voice asked. She doesn’t even have to ask who the person is or look at the shadow being reflected. She just knew it, even though the voice is hoarse. The smell of her cigarettes is no longer new to her nose.
