Chapter 45: To Put Yourself in Somebody’s Shoes

Hanson left.

Vincent had stayed silent as Wendy was clearly not in the mood to talk. He just stood to the side and waited quietly.

He could not stop himself from frowning at the sight of Wendy's bloody feet.

"I could still remember how Mrs. Wendy would complain non-stop to Master Hanson about a tiny hangnail on her finger back in the day.

"But now, she's not crying nor is she making any fuss even though she's this badly wounded..." He thought.

Howard was urgently summoned to Yale mansion. When he saw the wounds on Wendy's feet, he couldn't help knitting his brows. Then, he turned to look at Vincent.

Vincent was unsure of what had happened in detail, but he knew that the photo was most likely the trigger for this incident.

He pointed towards the photo on the wall silently.

Howard looked in the direction of the photo, and his face hardened into a grim expression.
