Chapter 53 I Will Never Forgive You

After an unknown period of time, the car finally stopped.

...

The trunk opened, and Phoenix stood outside. He was stunned when he saw me.

Then he frowned.

"Let, let me out."

My body continued to tremble as if I wasn't in control of it anymore.

I was afraid that he would close the trunk again, so I did my best to climb out of it.

As soon as I got out, I fell to the ground.

It hurt, but it was much better than inside.

I knew that as long as Phoenix disagreed, I couldn't run away now.

I grabbed the corner of his trousers and pleaded, "Please let me go. I promise I'll never show up. I'll let you and Lola be."

Perhaps due to the fresh air outside, speaking didn't feel strenuous.

...

Phoenix watched me with hesitation. Out of the blue, he leaned over and carried me up.

"Put me down!" Then, I noticed that the car was parked in front of the villa.

He wrapped me tightly in his arms, ignoring my resistance.

He went upstairs.
