“Lyle!” Both Lina and Pearl screamed

“Where have you been?” Pearl was the one who asked him but as usual got no reply from Lyle, who just stood there, gazing at them without any form of emotions on his gorgeous face.

After the moment of silence, Lyle turned and left, leaving them in the kitchen, Pearl then took her leave as well.

“Lina, I think you should go take your bath, breakfast would be ready soon” Karen jolted Lina from her thoughts and imaginations.

Lina nodded her head before going to her room. Talia was already up when she arrived and it seemed like the little girl had taken her bath because she was dressed in a new outfit.

“How are you Talia?” Lina asked “I’m fine” Talia replied shortly before Lina went to take her bath.

Breakfast was splendid, Karen was a very great cook, no doubt, everyone enjoyed their meal.

Lina decided to go to the garden to freshen up and ease herself, the recent happenings had been messing with her mind. when she arrived at the garden, she saw Lyle standing there, backing her.

His black long sleeves top outlined his broad shoulders perfectly, he was looking like a Greek god as his hair was been blown by the wind, Lina wondered what he must be thinking or planning since he did not join them in eating breakfast this morning

“Lina! Why are you here?” Lyle asked startling Lina, how did he know she was here? Well she was dealing with a demon prince

“I…I wanted too ease some tension” she replied in a shaky voice “tension!” He repeated what she said

Lina gazed at him closely and she seemed to have been spellbound to him, curiosity got the better of her so she asked

“Where have you been? Where did you go to? What have you been doing while you were away?”

She got no reply from Lyle which pissed her off, at least sometimes he needs to explain the reason for his actions and stop leaving people in the dark

“I asked you are question, your highness” Lina continued, she wanted answers so she must get it.

Finally Lyle turned to face her. Lina was thrown aback when she saw him, he stood there, few meters away from her, and he looked drop gorgeous, it took everything in her not to stare.

They stared at each other for the next passing minutes and just like that, Lyle left the garden to the main building leaving Lina alone in the garden.

Lina was frustrated, angry, mad, pissed off, whatever you may call it. She stood fixed to the ground and eating vinegar. She suddenly turned around and left the garden, if there was anyone who knew Lyle’s whereabouts, it would be Peres

Lina found Peres at the grand staircase, he was talking to some warriors when she arrived, he seemed to notice her presence and stopped what he was saying

“Lina, how may I help you?” Peres asked and Lina turned to look at the warriors, who already knew what she wanted ‘privacy’

“You have successfully sent away the warriors right?” Peres asked but Lina was not here for jokes

“Where had Lyle been?” Lina asked throwing Peres off balance, never in his wildest imagination did he think Lina would be asking about Lyle, if it was anyone, it would be Pearl

“Lyle?!” Peres asked to be sure and he got a nod of head from Lina “how am I supposed to know, why do you not ask him” Peres said

“And you think he would answer me” Lina snorted, Peres let out a small chuckle “why don’t you try your luck?” Peres continued

“What the hell is wrong with all these demons, why can’t you people just answer a very simple question, why?!” Lina asked, fury burning in her eyes

“Listen witch princess, I am not Lyle, so go find out where he had been by asking him, I am done having this conversation with you” Peres stated and left her.

Lina clicked her tongue up and down, those demons are taking her for granted and she would deal with them squarely.

Evening

Everyone got a seat in the hall, waiting for Lyle and Peres who had instructed that this meeting should hold, it had been approximately twenty five minutes since they had been here but no sign of Peres nor Lyle

Lina hissed, she was getting tired of waiting for people, were they not aware that they are been waited for?

Finally, the door to the hall opened and Peres and Lyle emerged in, Lina glanced at Lyle, who was now dressed in a sparkling white t~shirt and pair of black leather jeans, his hair was wet indicating he just came out from the bathroom. All the anger in Lina vanished while looking at Lyle.

Lyle gaze finally landed on her and she immediately looked away, she did not see the smile that graced his face for a split second before his usual expression returned.

He sat on the vacant seat opposite Lina, beside Pearl while Peres as usual sat with his lovely wife Gina. There was an awkward silence that was seriously disturbing everyone until Lucian broke the silence

“Your highness, you wanted to see us this evening”, Lyle cleared his throat before he began

“Recently, I have been setting up strategies for the upcoming battle especially when Diana had been planning on attacking the humans now, we can no longer stay here and wait for the battle to come to us, we would be moving to the capital territory of Nevera, to an underground place, there we can launch our attacks on Diana, we must also know that we are dealing with Diana, she is very smart and calculating, she is as cunny as a fox, she we need to be at an alert, am I understood?”

“Yes your highness” everyone replied “when do we leave?” Gina asked “tomorrow at most, but if there is need, we would move tonight” Lyle replied

“Is Diana planning on attacking the humans?” Adam asked and he earned a nod of head from Lyle

“How did you know all these?” Pearl asked but Lyle kept mute, at least his expression did not falter

“That is all for now” he said before glancing at Lina who had been quiet since, Lina noticed his gaze on her but she couldn’t help but feel goosebumps all over her body.
