Quick diner

I quickly take my phone excited that Daisy has responded but to my surprise ,I find out that Christian sent me a text “hey what u doing” . I roll my eyes and try to ignore it ,like why can't he just leave me alone for crying out loud .Not after even after 3 minutes I hear another Bing ,I look at the message and it reads “you know if you keep on ignoring me I won't stop bothering you I'll even come there and will then continue to bother you some more”. I groan and text him back feeling like I have no choice .

“What do you want”?

“You of course ,sweetheart we've been over this haven't we”.

“ Look I am tired can you please give me a break ,I'll text you tomorrow OK” .

“What's wrong are u okay”?

“Actually I'm not okay my friend is mad at me and I don't know why , she hasn't talked to me since this morning , it’s stressing me out”.

“Well I'm sorry to hear that I hope she comes around and since you aren't okay I'll text u tomorrow”

I sigh and fall onto the pillows and continue watching money heist on Netflix . I think about Daisy and think about why she hasn't come back , I look at the time my on my phone and it reads 7:50 .I try to call her but it immediately goes straight to voice mail,I try again and eventually give up . I take my other unfinished homework and work on it .

After a while I start to feel a bit hungry ,I decide to go to our little kitchen corner since our dorms have small in-built kitchen and find out that we don't have anything to eat . So I decide to go and get something to eat ,I grab my black jacket and shoes and make it for the door. I try to move as quickly as I can make it so I’m not late for the curfew even if I won’t be going far. I put my hood on and start walking to the bus stop to catch a bus . After about 10 minutes I reach “Bob's big bite” .

I enter and immediately the smell of food hits me like a wave and my stomach starts grumbling. I walk to an empty line and order something “welcome to Bob's big bite , what would you like to order " the cashier greets me with friendly smile . I look at the options on the screen and decide. “Hi, can I get your large fries with a cheese burger without pickles and a can of coke please. She fixes my food while I wait and then she hands me the a bag with the food in it . “Here you go ,that will be $23.58” she says .

“ Thank you” I tell her and give her the money. “You're welcome you should come back again” she says giving me a smile . I walk to the door and as I reach it I am knocked off to the ground by a stranger and all my food falls to the ground . “I’m so sorry,sorry I wasn't looking where I was going”. I look up and realize that it is Connor one of Chris’s friends , As I look into his jade eyes I immediately feel the butterflies tummy go insane and I am barely able to keep standing .

" KIMBERLY, it’s you ,what are you doing out here ? he asks and smiles at me . He helps me up and also tries to help me pick up the food that fell to the floor. “ Oh nothing but the usual , I got a bit hungry so I thought why not since it's not far from campus so here I am " I say motioning to myself . " Oh ,I see sorry about your food by the way I can buy you more food ,cause I technically ruined your diner" he says touching the back of his head feeling a bit embarrassed about the whole ordeal . “So where's your girlfriend, what’s her name again? “Emily" he says helping me out with her name “yes her”.

“She's like at her place or something” he replies. “So let me buy you your food and if you aren't in a hurry ,you can stay and eat with me if that's okay with you”. “I’m not really in a hurry but I don't want to miss the curfew cause you know dorm room stuff” . I laugh and he also laughs .

“ And plus ,I have to finish my school work”. “Then at least let me offer my services to drive you to the campus. “That I think I can accept” I laugh and he does the same and we both walk to the front and he asks me what I want and he orders it for me .He then orders himself 2 burgers and a can of sprite .

We walk out of the place and get in his car , he puts on some music and starts to hum it ”. So Kimberly what do you major in ?" he asks me while tapping his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the song currently playing . “I major in English nothing too exclusive”.

“That's so nice I bet you like reading and writing don't you?”

“ So can I also have your number so we can get text and get together some time or something?” .

“ Is that you asking me out even if you have a girlfriend ?"

“ Yes it is and plus me and Emily aren't too serious”. “But she's still technically your girlfriend so I don’t know ,maybe if we’d just hang out platatonically”.

“Tell you what ,give me your phone number and we'll see from there, cause we’ve reached” .

I give him my phone number and he gives me his and from there we part our ways, I make my way back to the dorm .I run down the Girl's dorm section and pull out my key and get in . I sit on my bed and take my food and start eating . I resume watching money heist on Netflix and watch a few videos on you tube about skincare and people doing hauls .As I am doing all that I get a text from Connor

“Hey ,have you reached?” .

“ Yes ,watching money heist and enjoying my food :)”

“I'm thinking of you right now ^^”

As I look at the text I feel shocked and uncomfortable and cause I don't know how to reply to his text I just decide to ignore it for now”.
