CHAPTER THREE: BLUE BIRD
"Woah" Gray opened his mouth in awe as he passed through the entrance of Blue Bird guild " I can't still believe this is happening".
Leo scoffed at his words while Ravi just laughed.
"You see all these chicks here and all what you can think of is your success in entering this trashy guild!" Leo angrily replied Gray.
"What is with you and getting the girls" Ravi sighed. "Can't you think about the better of us all". Leo raised an eyebrow at him before laughing.
"Don't me laugh" Leo said opening his sharp canine tooth at him.
The whole ground started shaking, the air was shaking, the wind was blowing backwards ferociously that it was hitting the crowd in the face. At the sky four large metallic birds in the colour of blue was seen, it is very large and gigantic, it firstly hovered in the air then gradually it removed large wings from their sides, it exhausted a colour blue before blasting off away.
The crowd stood in awe especially the new recruits.
"Was that just a Blue Bird?" Leo said his mouth wide open.
"Yeah it is" Ravi answered him before cleaning his drool.
"Already reconsidering leaving Blue Bird Leo" Gray said helping Leo close his mouth "Come on we've got a guild to register for".
"WILL ALL NEW RECRUITS PLEASE APPROACH THE LARGE BLUE TENT THAT IS IN FRONT OF THE GUILD HALL" the voice boomed from the speaker again.
"It feels nice to be here, it makes me feel grown up" Ravi blurted out.
"Why?" Leo asked surprisingly not laughing at Ravi's words.
"Well you see all these Blue Bird members walking up and down busy while we walk amongst them, it makes me feel as I belong here" Ravi said cheerfully.
"He is right makes me feel grown up" Gray said.
"We are seventeen soon to be an adult but I've felt like an adult since I became a teenager" Leo boasted as they approached the tent.
The tent was large just like the megaphone voiced said. Inside the tent are lots of plastic chairs, and at the front of the tent were seven horizontal tables with seven men standing at the back of it, and also some armed guards were patrolling the tent flashing their weapons to look terrifying. One top of the table, lots of paper and a fingerprint scanner and a eye scanner was there. Also behind the tables and the men are seven wide televisions.
"Shall we begin" the megaphone voice said but this time without a megaphone. A man with two guards came into the tent, he had five stars on his blue adorned uniform and his shoulders were pointing materials that looks like a beak. He is a black man with a crew cut.
"Would all the new recruits take a sit". the man said. Gray looked back saw that the tent was already crowded with young faces as they all sat down.
"My name is Captain Adonis Adeleke, captain of the Fourth squad of the great guild Blue Bird". Leo released a tiny cough, Gray shot him one of his dead eye looks.
"The fourth squad, aren't they the ones that invented a special equipment for tactical manuverings". someone said behind them.
"They are also brave and known for being able to go for any mission no matter the risks or dangers". someone also piped in.
"Looks like he is well known" Leo spoke uninterested.
"Captain Adonis Adeleke, he was formerly the vice captain of the twelfth squad before he became the captain of the fourth, people said he might become a Grand Captain of Blue Bird one day" Ravi said.
"Well thanks for that explanation encyclopedia" Gray laughed. Captain Adonis raised his hand to the air and like that the whole crowd went silent.
"Thank you" he said "You are all here for one thing today, you want to join the greatest squad of all time Blue Bird, you all that are here made the wisest decisions of a life time, just know this, you entering Blue Bird means that your adventures are just beginning, they say a journey of a lifetime begins with one step, this is your one step, show us how great you can be".
The whole crowd roared with inspiration. Captain Adonis raised his hand up again.
"As you all know, we've have been monitoring you since the academics, we have already recorded your bio data, so we know everything about you, what you are good at and all the rest. That's why we will take a small exercise today, you see those Blue Bird operatives behind the tables, you will follow the instructions they give you and the screens behind them will bring out your bio data that was recorded in the academy, we have camera's that are recording this procedure which all the captain of the thirty squad are watching looking for who to put in their squad, if you are lucky you might just get into the first squad. So with a these let the procedure begin, no questions should be asked".
"Will all please divide yourselves into seven seats, then after you will approach each table to get your bio data". one of the men behind the tables said.
The crowd divided themselves, but Gray wasn't with Leo and Ravi as he was pushed so he was on the sixth row while the two were on the fourth.
The first applicants on the all the lines came forward and were told to put their fingers on the fingerprint and their eye at the rectanal scanner, the big screen then turned on and showed all the information about the applicants.
"Hey Ravi getting scared already" Leo taunted Ravi
"I got a good data unlike yours that is filled with fights, none won" Ravi said snickering. Leo raised his middle fingers at him. He rolled his eyes away from Ravi to where Baron and his crew where making a ruckus, he sighed and rolled his eyes back to Ravi.
The crowd started getting agitated and people started murmuring amongst themselves. Leo wondered what the ruckus was until he saw someone pointing to the screen.

"Woah" Leo opened his mouth again. His eyes scanned for Hazel and without even knowing her, he was sure she was the one, she has a redhair with bright red eyes that can be seen from a distance just like his, to leo and everyother male she was perfect.
"Earth to Leo" Ravi snapped his fingers in front of Leo's eye.
"Quiet" Leo punched Ravi without even looking at him.
"Hot isn't she" a guy said from their back "Hi am Liam"
"Hey Liam" Ravi said "Am Ravi and this is Leo".
"Nice meeting you guys although your friend is totally immersed in haze" Liam replied laughing. He had a look that shows he has a lot of secrets especially with the way he smiles.
"Haze? you guys are friends?" Ravi asked
"Childhood friends, we grew up together, her dad is a Chancellor and my dad works under him while her mom is a captain at the gazelles and my mom is her vice captain, so our families have been together".
"That's so cool!" Ravi said in disbelief.
"Not that cool, you see the blond girl near haze, that is Liv Garson, both her parents are Chancellors".
"You mean that Blondie" Leo said jumping into the conversation and pointing at the screen.

"Looks like you guys are something else" Liam said impressed at their bio data.
"What do you expect" Leo said rubbing his nose "I wonder how Gray is doing".
"Please put your hands on the scanner" the man behind the table told Gray.
"Sure" Gray placed his hand on the scanner before going for the rectanal check. The screen brought out his info.

"Not bad" he said to himself.
After sometime the new recruits finished their screening and once again captain Adonis came out to address them.
"I see you are all done with your screening and am sure you've found information about your fellow recruits, so you now know that this guild will be tough, lots of competition and who knows a first squad captain might be here amongst us. Anyways you will be guided to the conference hall where you await further instructions" Captain Adonis smiled at them and waved good bye. A tall brunette female came forward, she had a tattoo of a small Blue on her left cheek.
"Good morning to you all, my name is Leah Hayes and the special adviser of Blue Bird" Leah said, the crowd started to murmur "Yeah I know am too young to be an adviser" she said blushing.
"Please follow me to the conference hall".
As the crowd started moving Leo, Ravi and Liam ran towards Gray.
"You good bro" Leo asked.
"Yeah" Gray said looking at Liam.
"Oh this is Liam, we just met him" Ravi said "Liam meet Gray, Gray meet Liam"
"Nice meeting you"
"Do you know he is the childhood friend of Hazel" Leo piped in.
"Who is Hazel?" Gray asked confused.
"What!! are you kidding me!!, she is like the hottest around here" Leo shouted.
"Really, i thought Baron is the hottest to you" Gray laughed before Leo tried to punch him.
The conference hall was very big to contain about seven hundred people. Like all the other buildings in the guild it has a Blue Bird on it. Inside it has about five hundred seats and two very large screens, larger than the ones in the tent. It was showing something on it.
"Please take a seat, while I try to start this Blue Bird documentary again" Leah said fiddling with a remote.
"Leah is kinda nice" Gray said.
"All special advisers have to be nice" Liam replied him.
"Special advisers what do they really do" Leo asked, Ravi raised his eyebrow before replying him.
"Well each guild has one, they are like an oracle they consult with on matters. They analyze missions and give the guild lesser percentage risks, it is said that their intellect is very high than normal".
"So it's a job for nerds, your kinda line" Leo said.
Leah played the documentary again, a Blue Bird official came in and whispered something in Leah's ear, her eyes turned wide before whispering back to the official.
"Sorry newbies, I will have to go for now but please watch this documentary, I will be back very soon and don't cause any trouble". she said leaving with the official. The documentary played on but no one really watched it.
"You know we will be on different squads right" Ravi said.
"Yeah, but I pray no flying squad should pick me" Gray prayed.
"Why?" Liam asked.
"Gray is scared of heights" Ravi said laughing.
"Are you guys having these conversations,cause I am going to socialize". Leo said as he stood up but he was cornered by Baron and his Goonies.
"Where you going loser" Baron pushed Leo back to his seat.
"Listen Baron for the first time I ain't got time for your shit, I've got someone I want to impress so fuck off" Leo spat out.
"Not a polite way of telling one to leave" Baron said cracking his knuckles. "My guys are outside keeping watch, they will alert if anyone is coming, unless you are scared".
"Leo, ignore Baron" Gray said.
"No need to tell me" Leo said ignoring Baron.
"Oh I see, you are a chicken like your brother who..." before Baron could finish talking Leo punched him right across his face sending him flying.
"Oh no here we go" Ravi said shaking his head.
Baron stood up and spat out blood, he ran fast towards Leo with his right fist but leo dogded it by bending down, Baron took advantage of Leo bending down and his whole strength to hit Leo's back, leo spattered and went backwards coughing, Baron held his head and took his knee to Leo's stomach knocking the air out of him. Leo gasped for air before regaining himself and head butt Baron, he used his right fist to smash Baron face again, he then punched him twice in the stomach harder than Baron knee kick. Leo then stood Baron still before giving him a heavy punch that sent Baron flying toward chairs. Baron's Goonies wanted to attack Leo but Baron stopped them.
"This isn't your fight" he did massaging his jaw.
"Leo stop you are just doing what he wants" Ravi said trying to stop him.
"Yeah Leo that's enough" Gray said "Cool down". Leo stopped looking at Gray before he smiled.
"Sorry I lost it" , the whole new recruits were watching them.
"No need" Gray said. Baron stood up and took something out of his pocket, he flicked it and the blade glistened under the halls bright light.
"Baron you don't have to this" Gray said.
"Shut up Gray" Baron said running towards leo. Gray grabbed hold of the hand with the blade and punched it hard breaking the bone, Baron screaming pain before Gray double kicked him away. Baron in pain gave signal for boys to attack but green light pointed that them all. Baron boys that he told to keep watch came in with their hands on their heads and the guards behind them.
"I leave you for just five minutes", Leah said shaking her head "I am so disappointed".
"We weren't part of the fight" someone said from the crowd.
"For you to watch and not interfere means you are just part of the fight" she did walking up to the fighters.
"A hell of a fight it is" she said smiling at them "After your mission today those that are involved in the fight will be punished".
"Wait did you just say mission" Ravi said.
"Oh yes, as new recruits you just don't go for new missions immediately but something came five of our birds were out on a mission, things were going smoothly until we lost contact, their last word "stranded" it still means are alive. So the higher authorities in Blue Bird want to test all of you but the question is "are you ready"?".
